Power tool The invention relates to a power tool, in the hollow handle of which an electric motor, a reduction gear and a tool holder are mounted axially one behind the other.
After connecting such a power tool to a network, z. B. a screwdriver that is connected to the reduction gear is being driven.
The disadvantage of these power tools is that they are dependent on a power supply that is not available at every work station and that the power cord is an obstacle to work. The invention eliminates this deficiency in that a dry battery is provided in the hollow handle as a power source for the electric motor and that the tool holder is connected to the reduction gear, which is non-rotatably connected to the hollow handle by a push-button switch in its rest position and switches on the motor current another position is released for rotation by the motor.
Arranging a battery in the hollow handle alone is not enough, namely because the relatively small battery capacity that can be accommodated in the small hollow handle of the device is not sufficient to e.g. B. to supply the tightening torque for the produc- tion of common screw connections.
Therefore, in a preferred embodiment, a push button switch is provided, which on the one hand switches on the motor circuit and on the other hand, when not switched on, represents a locking mechanism that takes effect between the hollow handle and the tool holder and thereby non-rotatably connects it to the hollow handle. Between the tool holder and the reduction gear, a slip clutch can expediently be switched on, which is set to a slip torque corresponding to the load capacity of the battery.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the screwdriver and FIGS. 2a and 2b each show a section along line 11.II of FIG. 1 with two different settings of the push-button switch.
In the metal housing 6, which represents the handle of the tool, there is a Trockenbat terie 5 with a number of battery elements 13, which are preferably made of nickel-cadmium cells, which require no maintenance and do not need to be replaced. Behind it is the electric motor 15, which receives drive current from the accumulator cells 13 is NEN.
The rotor of the motor is connected to a reduction gear 1, 2, 3, at the end of which a slip clutch 12 is arranged, which is set to a slip torque corresponding to the load capacity of the dry battery. In the end face of the slip clutch of the tool holder 11 engages, in the optionally different tools, z. B. screwdrivers of various widths, stirring tools and the like, can be used non-rotatably.
The shaft of the tool carrier 11 has a cross-shaped extension 10 which fits into the interior of a housing-like part 9 of the push button 7 and when the push button 7 fits and when the push button 7 is in the rest position according to FIGS. 1 and 2a, with the push button part 9 and thus also with the housing 6 is non-rotatably connected. If the push button 7 is pushed in according to Fig. 2b, whereby the power contact 8 is closed and the motor is started,
then the cross-shaped projection 10 disengages from the part 9, so that the motor now rotates the tool holder 11. When the push button 7 is released, it jumps back into its rest position according to FIG. 1 and connects the tool holder 11 to the housing 6 in such a way that it can be rotated.
Part 14 is a low-measuring contact spring between the motor 15 and the dry battery 5. The contact spring is fastened to the housing 6 via the insulating ring 17 and has a connection tab 16 which is located above a coaxial socket bore 18 of the housing 6. This Koaxi.albuchsenbohrung serves in a known manner to introduce a coaxial plug (not shown) of a charger used to charge the nickel-cadmium cells 13.
19 is a pole reversing switch that is used to reverse the direction of rotation of the motor and thus z. B. to make a screwdriver suitable for both right and left hand threads.
