Fig. 2 ist eine Endansicht und, Fig. <B>3</B> ein horizontaler Schnitt der in Fig. <B>1</B> gezeigten Vorrichtung.
Holding device for a rod made of fiber material The present invention relates to a holding device, a so-called end sleeve, for a rod made of fiber material with primarily parallel, longitudinal fibers in the wesentli Chen. There has long been a desire to use fiberglass rods as tensioning planks in electrical assemblies because they are insulating, very strong and weather-resistant. But you can't thread the fiber rods because that would cut the fibers.
It is known to provide fiber rods with end sleeves made of metal which are glued onto the rods. If the fiber rods are to be used as tensioning bolts, this method is bad because the end sleeve slips off long before the tensile strength of the rod can be used.
The aim of the invention is to avoid this injustice. According to the invention, the holding device is characterized by an inner sleeve which is provided with a bore, which constantly widens in one direction, for receiving one end of the rod and with an external thread, and also by an external pocket-hole sleeve which is internally and externally threaded which the inner sleeve can be screwed, and by a. Wedge, which is intended to be pressed into the rod end located in the inner sleeve when the two sleeves are screwed together.
The invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, in which FIG. 1 shows a vertical cross-section of an embodiment of a holding device according to the invention. Fig. 2 is an end view and, Fig. 3, a horizontal section of the device shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 4 shows another embodiment of a wedge for a device according to the invention.
In FIGS. <B> 1, </B> 2 and <B> 3 </B>, <B> 1 </B> denotes an inner sleeve with a thread on the outside and with a hexagonal head <B> 5. </B> The sleeve <B> 1 </B> has a conical bore inside. An outer sleeve is designated by 2, which is provided with a thread on the outside and inside and has a base <B> 9 </B> and a hexagonal head <B> 6 </B>, and <B> 3 </ B > is a wedge that goes into one end <B> 7 </B> of a fiber rod. is pressed in. Furthermore, there is a filler 4, which z. B. can consist of a self-curing epoxy resin.
The mounting of the holding device on a fiber rod is done in such a way that the inner sleeve <B> 1 </B> is pushed onto the rod end <B> 7 </B>, after which the wedge <B> 3 </B> is knocked in so far that he is firmly in the bar. After the outer sleeve 2 has been precipitated with a filler 4, it is screwed over the inner sleeve <B> 1 </B>.
This presses the wedge <B> 3 </B> into the rod and the pad into all openings. The filler should then harden. Experience has shown that a holding device, which is designed according to the invention and placed in the manner described above, sits so firmly on the fiber rod that it is more likely to break when the rod is tensioned.
than that the sleeve slides off. In Fig. 4 an alternative embodiment of a wedge for a holding device according to the invention is shown. The wedge is denoted by <B> 3 '</B>, <B> 8 </B> are gradations, the purpose of which is that the wedge remains firmly anchored in the end of the rod after the filler has hardened.
The embodiments of the holding device shown in drawing g only illustrate the principle of the invention. Many different execution forms are conceivable within the scope of the invention. The inner sleeve can e.g. B. have a square instead of a round hole, and the wedge can be designed as a cross wedge.
