Fig. <I>la,</I> 1b und 1e zeigen das Schaltungsschema einer Aufzuganlage mit drei Haltestellen, und Fig. 2 zeigt einen schematischen Schnitt durch den Aufzugsschacht.
Dies soll auch für Aufzuganlagen mit mehr als drei Haltestellen gelten und die Geschwindigkeits- wahlscheibe CA2 dient zur Erreichung dieses Zwek- kes. Es sei ferner noch angenommen, d'ass die Stator- wicklung für die kleine Geschwindigkeitsstufe 36 Pole, diejenige für die mittlere Stufe acht Pole und diejenige für die grosse Stufe vier Pole aufweist. Die maximale Kabinengeschwindigkeit bei Einschaltung der mittleren Stufe betrage 1,2 m/sec;
Der jetzt geschlossene Kontakt stn6 schliesst den Stromkreis des Relais RZS, über dessen Kontakt rzsl das Relais<I>SU</I> erregt wird, weil die Kontakte se2, sm2 und ru5 jetzt geschlossen sind-. Das Relais <I>SU</I> schliesst den Schalter <I>SU',</I> während sein;
I>Cal</I> in Verbindung steht.
In Fig. <B><I>l b:</I></B> 5. Das Relais SM des Schalters <I>S<B>M</B></I> zur Einschal tung -der mittleren Geschwindigkeitsstufen des Mo tors M.
6. Das Relais<I>SU</I> des Schalters<I>SU'</I> zur A.bwärts- schaltung des Motors M.
11. Das Relais<I>SE</I> des Notendschalters SE.
In Fig. 1 c: 18.
I>CA 3</I> in, Verbindung steht.
Der Kontakt 3rp2 schaltet nun das Relais<I>SO</I> ab, dessen Kontakt so4 seinerseits das Bremsluftrelais <I>BM</I> abschaltet.
Elevator system To drive the cabins of elevator systems with a maximum speed of about 0.70 m / sec, it is common to use a single asynchronous motor. For maximum speeds of about 1.20 m / sec, two asynchronous motors with different numbers of poles or one asynchronous motor with two stator windings with different numbers of poles are used. For larger delivery heights, from z.
B. 20 m and above, however, a speed of 1.20 m / sec is too low in practice. For speeds of more than 1.20 m / sec, Ward-Leonard drives or special motors, e.g. B. with tyratron-controlled DC braking. Such systems are good, but very expensive and also entail high overhaul and maintenance costs.
The present invention allows a substantial reduction in investment costs to be achieved. The elevator system according to the invention is characterized by: that it has an asynchronous motor with at least three switchable stator windings with different numbers of poles or a group of at least three switchable asynchronous motors with different numbers of poles working on a common shaft to drive the elevator car.
Contrary to the prevailing prejudice among experts, it has been found that with such a system excellent driving comfort and a very high level of parking accuracy of the cabin can be achieved.
In a preferred embodiment of this system, photo switches are provided on the cabin, which cooperate with opaque switching flags that cooperate on the cabin shaft. The inertia with which these switches work in comparison to mechanically or magnetically operated switches, contributes significantly to the good driving characteristics of this embodiment, which is described in detail below.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
FIGS. 1 a, 1 b and 1 e show the circuit diagram of an elevator installation with three stops, and FIG. 2 shows a schematic section through the elevator shaft.
It should be said in advance that in the scheme of Fig. La-1c only those elements of the system are shown which are required to understand the function of this system, while numerous circuits of the usual type, z.
B. for see approximation, lighting, alarm purposes and the like, have been omitted. Furthermore, for the sake of simplicity, a system with only three stops 1, 2 and 3 (see FIG. 2) has been chosen, although in practice, of course, many more stops can usually be provided.
The circuit diagram is based on the assumption that the elevator car, not shown, is at rest at the second stop and the system is ready for operation and is live.
To drive: the cabin is an asynchronous motor M with three stator windings with different numbers of poles, which work together with a short-circuit rotor. The motor M thus has three different speed levels that can be connected to the terminals <I> S, T </I> of a three-phase network via double-pole switches SL ', <I> SM' </I> and SS ' third terminal is labeled R.
SL 'is used to switch on: the slow, SM' to switch on the medium and <I> SS '</I> to switch on the fast speed level. In the lines leading from switches SL ', S <B> <I> M </I> </B> and <I> SS' </I> to terminals <I> S, T </I> two switches SU 'and SO' are provided.
When the circuit of the motor M is closed via the switch SO ', the motor rotates in such a way that the elevator car travels upwards. If, on the other hand, the motor circuit is closed via the switch <I> SU '</I>, the motor <I> M </I> rotates in a downward direction. The switches <I> SU '</I> and <I> SO' </I> have an emergency limit switch <I> SE '</ in the course of the lines leading to the terminals <I> S, T </I> I> upstream, the function of which will be explained in more detail later.
The switches SL ', <I> SM', SS ', SU', SO '</I> and <B> E </B> are designed as contactors and are, when excited, with the corresponding capital letters without a line designated relays SL, <I> SM, SS, SU, </I> SO and <I> SE </I> closed, while they are open when these relays are not energized. The relay windings can also be identical to: the switching coils of the contactors.
In the course of the lines coming from the terminals R, S, T, a motor protection switch MHS with thermal release in the event of overcurrent or short circuit is initially provided, followed by a mechanically operated emergency limit switch <I> NS </I> in accordance with the regulations. The emergency limit switch <I> NS </I> is opened automatically when the elevator car exceeds certain end positions upwards or downwards, which is indicated schematically by stops 4 and 5, the former being attached to the car and the latter with switch <I > NS </I> is connected.
After the switch <I> NS </I>, the line coming from the terminal R is directly connected to the three stator windings of the motor M. On the other hand, the primary winding of a transformer Tr is connected to the other two lines that lead to switch S <B> <I> E </I> </B> behind the emergency limit switch <I> NS </I>, the two Secondary winding has.
A rectifier G1 is connected to the first secondary winding of the transformer Tr, to whose positive pole a busbar 6 and to whose negative pole a busbar 7 is connected. Between the busbars 6 and 7 are the control circuits explained in more detail later.
A circuit is connected to the second secondary winding of the transformer Tr in which there are five incandescent lamps LP1, LP2, LP3, LP4 and LP5 connected in parallel. The lamps LP1 to LP5 are only switched on when a contact rzal of a relay RZA is closed.
The incandescent lamps LPI to LP5 are assigned photoresistors 1PW to 5PW, which are in series with photo switch relays 1RP to 5RP between the control current busbars 6 and. 7 are switched. The contacts of all relays occurring in the scheme are, as usual, designated in the same way as the relays themselves, but with small letters and with the addition of a number, which is used to distinguish the various contacts of the same relay.
In the following, not all contacts of each individual relay should be mentioned, but only those whose function is explained in more detail. The function of the other contacts will then be readily apparent to those skilled in the art from the diagram.
Between the photoresistors IPW to 5PW and the corresponding relays 1RP to 5RP there are contacts Irpl to Irp5, to which resistors W are connected in parallel.
The photo resistors 1PW to 5PW, and the corresponding incandescent lamps LPI to LP5 are combined to form photoswitches, which are mounted on the elevator car and work together with opaque switching flags F fixed in place on the shaft, which work in five vertical tracks 1RP 'assigned to the photoswitches to 5RP 'are arranged,
so that when the car is moving, this switching flag F step successively between a photoresistor PW and the incandescent lamp LP assigned to it and thereby control the relay RP in a manner which will be explained in more detail later.
A copying mechanism is kinematically connected to the shaft of the motor M and has four contact disks <I> CA 1 </I> to CA4 mounted on a common shaft, not shown. The current-conducting parts of the contact disks <I> CA 1 </I> to CA4 are shown hatched, while the white disk parts are insulating.
The copying mechanism copies - in a manner known per se - because of the kinematic connection of the contact disc shaft with the motor shaft or the cable elevator winch, the movement of the elevator car by adding a certain angle of rotation of the contact discs <I> CA 1 </I> to each position of the car CA4 corresponds, which each work together with a number of sliding contacts. The movement of the car is determined on the one hand by the contacts of the Ko pierwerk and on the other hand by the flags in the elevator. F controlled.
As will become apparent from the further description, the contact disc <I> CA 1 </I> is used to stop the car at the selected stop and is referred to for short as the floor selection disc. The contact disc CA2 is used to preselect the highest speed level of the motor M, which is to be used between two stops, that is, to preselect whether the high speed level should be switched on or not. This contact disc is therefore referred to as a speed dial.
The contact disc CA3 is used to prepare for the shutdown of the high speed level, which is then carried out by a photoswitch. This contact disc is therefore referred to as the quick-release disc for short. The contact disc CA4 is used to switch on the high speed level and is briefly referred to as the quick switch-on disc.
To set the car in motion and to select the desired stop, three inner push-button switches Dil, D12 and <I> Dia </I> are installed in the car, each of which has two interconnected contacts, vondenen. one is closed when the other is open and vice versa. an upward trip from stop 2 to stop 3. It should be said in advance that the height difference between stops 1 and 2 is considerably greater than that between stops 2 and 3, which is only indicated in FIG.
Among other things, it is important to show that the high speed level is only effective if there is a large difference in height between the starting position of the car and the selected stop, but not if this difference in height is small.
This should also apply to elevator systems with more than three stops and the speed selection disc CA2 is used to achieve this purpose. Let it also be assumed that the stator winding for the low speed stage has 36 poles, that for the middle stage has eight poles and that for the high stage has four poles. The maximum car speed when the middle level is switched on is 1.2 m / sec;
then the maximum speed in the large step is about 2.4 m / sec and that in the small step about 0.13 m / sec, if one disregards small differences in the slip of the various steps. <I> 1. Travel from stop 2 to stop 1: It is assumed that a passenger who is in the cabin presses the inner push-button switch Dil at stop 2. Then the circuit of the relay 1RH is interrupted by opening the switch contact 10 (Fig. La) and the circuit of the relay 1STR is closed by closing the switch contact 11.
The relay 1RH drops out and its contact lrlzl closes the circuit of the relay RZA, whose contact r2al switches on the photo switches: r lamps LP1 to LP5.
The relay 1STR responds and its contacts lstrl and lstr2 close via the contact disc CA1 the circuit of the downward relay R U, whose contact ru2 is closed and thus keeps the relays RU and 1STR energized when the push button Dil is released.
The contact ru7 is closed and closes via contact lstr4 (now closed), contact disc CA3, contact lstr3 (now closed) and contact disc CA2 the circuit of the relay 3RH, which is self-sustaining via its contact 3rhl after being excited.
As a result of the switching on of the lamps LP1 to LP5, the resistance values of the photoresistors 1PW to 5PW decrease, so that the relays 1RP to 5RP are energized. The contacts lrpl to lrp5 open so that the resistors W are connected upstream of the relays RP; this avoids a relatively large continuous current through the relays RP, which, however, remain energized.
The now closed contact ra6 closes the circuit of the relay <I> SE, </I> which closes the switch SE. The closed contact ru3 closes the circuit of the relay <I> SM </I> via the also closed contact sel, which closes the switch <I> S <B> M </B> </I>.
The now closed contact stn6 closes the circuit of the relay RZS, via whose contact rzsl the relay <I> SU </I> is excited because the contacts se2, sm2 and ru5 are now closed. The relay <I> SU </I> closes the switch <I> SU ', </I> while being;
Contact su4 via the now closed contact, the brake air relay <I> BM </I> is excited, which releases the magnetic brake. As a result of the closure of the switches <I> SE ', SU' </I> and SM ', the motor M starts up in the medium speed level, specifically in the downward direction.
During the descent of the car, the contact disks CA1 to CA4 of the copier work on the common shaft, not shown, rotate counterclockwise. After a certain path, the length of which can be adjusted by adjusting a sliding contact 12 cooperating with the contact disk CA4,
If this contact 12 closes via the now closed contact 3rh2 and the contact disc CA4 <I> the </I> circuit of the relay 4RH, which then holds itself via its contact 4rh5. Contact 4rhl is opened and switches off the relay <I> SM </I>, which in turn opens switch <I> SM '</I>.
The contact 4rh3, however, is closed, so that the now closed. Contacts 3rhl and se4 the relay <I> SS </I> is energized, which closes the switch SS '. The motor M is now working at the high speed level, with the cab being accelerated to the maximum speed of 2.4 m / sec. The relay <I> SS </I> maintains itself via its contact ss3 and the now closed photoswitch contact irp2.
As the contact disks continue to rotate, after a certain distance a sliding contact 13 cooperating with disk CA3 comes to a point made of insulating material, whereby the circuit of relay 3RH is interrupted. The contact 3rh2 is therefore opened again and the relay 4RH is switched off.
The shutdown of the high speed level is now prepared, but due to the latching of the relay <I> SS </I>, the car will continue to move at high speed for the time being.
Shortly before stop 1, a switching flag 1F1 comes to lie between the lamp LPl and the photo resistor 1PW, so that its resistance value increases and the relay 1RP drops out. The contact lrp2 is opened and switches off the relay SS, which in turn opens the switch SS '. The contact ssl, which was opened when the relay SS was switched on, is closed again, as a result of which the relay <I> SM </I> is re-energized because the contact 4rhl had also been closed again in the meantime.
The relay <I> SM </I> closes the switch SM 'and the motor M decelerates the speed to the medium speed level.
With the further rotation of the contact disks <B> <I> CA 1 </I> </B> to CA4, a with the disk <B> <I> CA 1 </I> </B> <I> </I> cooperating sliding contact 14 on an insulating point, whereby the relay RU is switched off:
, which in turn interrupts the circuit of the relay 1STR by reopening its contact ru2. Briefly, these pushbutton switches are interconnected in a known manner so that double commands are ineffective, that is, when two switches are pressed simultaneously, only one travel command is executed, namely the command of the pushbutton switch with the lower ordinal number.
At each stop there is also an external push-button switch Dal to Da3 with which the car can be called. The switches Dal to Da3 also have double contacts of the same type as the switches Dil to <I> Dia </I> and are switched so that when two switches are actuated at the same time, only the move command of the switch with the higher ordinal number is carried out.
Between the control current busbars 6 and 7 are arranged in Fig. La, beginning on the left and progressing to the right in sequence: 1. A closed-circuit relay 1RH, which is connected to the outer push-button switches Da3 to Dal and the inner push-button switch <I via various contacts > Dia </I> until Dil is connected.
2. A line 8, to which three relays 1STR, 2STR, 3STR are connected, which on the other hand are connected to the push-button switches Dal to Da3 and Dil to <I> Dia </I> and depending on the selected stop 1 to 3, This means that the selected floor is excited and therefore referred to as a floor relay.
3. A relay RU which is connected to the floor selection disc <I> Cal </I> via a sliding contact. The relay RU is energized when the car is to move downwards and is therefore referred to as the down relay.
4. A relay R0 which is connected to the landing dial <I> Cal </I> in a similar manner to the relay <I> R U </I> and which is energized when the car is to move upwards; it is accordingly referred to as a step-up relay.
In Fig. <B><I>lb:</I> </B> 5. The relay SM of the switch <I>S<B>M</B> </I> for switching on -the medium speed levels of the Motors M.
6. The relay <I> SU </I> of switch <I> SU '</I> for A. upward switching of motor M.
7. The relay SO of the switch SO 'for switching up the motor M.
B. The relay SS of the switch SS 'for switching on the high speed step of the motor M. 9. The relay SL of the switch SL' for switching on the low speed step of the motor M. 10. A relay <I> BM, </ I > When it is excited, a magnetic brake, not shown, which is used to brake the car, comes into its ineffective position. This relay is therefore called a brake air relay. 11. The relay <I> SE </I> of the emergency limit switch SE.
12. A relay RSE, which is used to control the emergency limit switch. Among the contacts that connect this relay to the busbar 6 are two end contacts EKo and EK "connected in parallel. The end contacts EKo and EK" are closed when the car is slightly below or above the top one or lowest stop 3 or 1 is located.
The end contacts EKo and EK "are actuated by means of a cam 9 which is attached to the quick pre-setting disk CA3. The end contacts EKo and EK" are shown again in the diagram next to the disk CA3 in order to illustrate their cooperation with the cam 9 .
The designations a, b, e attached to three lines leading to these end contacts show how the end contacts are arranged in the control circuit of the relay RSE.
13. A delayed relay RZA, the release of which is delayed by 2 seconds. This relay is used to switch on the photo switch lamps LP1 to LP5 and to switch off the external pushbuttons Dal to Da3 as well as for actuating the signal circuits, not shown, for the usual busy light signals.
14. A delayed relay RZS, the fall of which is delayed by 13 sec and which serves to protect the motor M when it is working in the low speed level.
15. The photo switching relay 1RP with its resistance <I> W </I> and the photo resistor 1PW. This relay is used to switch off the high speed level.
16. The photoswitch relay 2RP with its resistor <I> W </I> and the photo resistor 2PW. This relay is used to switch off the medium speed level.
17. The photo switch relay 3RP with its resistor <I> W </I> and the photo resistor 3PW. This relay is used to stop the car at stop 3.
In Fig. 1 c: 18. The photoswitch relay 4RP, with its resistance <I> W </I> and the photo resistor 4PW. This relay is used for emergency limit switching at high speeds.
19. The photo switch relay 5RP with its resistor <I> W </I> and the photo resistor 5PW. This relay is used for emergency limit switching at medium speed.
20. A relay 3RH which is connected via various contacts to the speed dial CA2 on the one hand and to the rapid advance setting disc <I> CA 3 </I> on the other. The speed selector disc CA2 is in turn connected via contacts to the quick pre-setting disc CA3. The relay 3RH is therefore used for both the speed selection and the quick pre-setting.
21. A relay 4RH, which is connected to the quick-closing disc CA4 via a sliding contact. This relay is used to switch on the high speed level.
To explain the mode of operation of the system described, two normal operating cases will now be described, namely a downward journey from stop 2 to stop 1 and then a switching flag 2F1 between the lamp LP2 and the photoresistor ZPW, so d @ ass the relay 2RP drops out.
The contact 2rp2 now switches off the relay SM, which opens the switch SM ', but when its contact sm4 closes again, the relay SL switches on. Because of the contacts 4rh4, ss4 and sm4, this relay SL can only be energized if - after energizing the relays <I> SE </I> and <I> SU - </I> none of the relays 4RH, SS or <I> SM </I> is excited, whichever case occurs only now.
The relay SL, which is interlocked with the relays 4RH, <I> SS </I> and <I> SM </I>, now closes the switch <B> SV </B> and the motor <I> M </I> decelerates the speed to the low speed level.
The car now moves at low speed practically only so far until a switching flag 3F1 comes between the lamp LP3 and the photo resistor 3PW, thereby switching off the relay 3RP. As a result, the contact 3rp2 interrupts the circuit of the relay SU, which in turn opens the switch SU 'and whose contact su4 switches off the brake air relay <I> BM </I>.
Because the motor M is switched off and the brake is switched on, the car, which is only moving very slowly downwards, comes to a halt practically immediately at stop 1 ..
When the relay <I> SU </I> is switched off, its sul contact is closed again and the closed-circuit relay 1RH is re-energized, whose contact lrhl switches off the relay RZA, which drops out with a 2-second delay. Contact su5 switches off relay SE and contact su4 switches off relay SL.
The relay RZS has dropped out with a delay time of 13 seconds after the relays SS and <I> SM or </I> have opened their contacts ss6 and sm6. The purpose of this delay relay RZS will be explained in more detail later. All relays have thus returned to their original position and the car is ready for a new trip. <I> 2.
Travel from stop 2 to stop 3: </I> It is assumed that a user at stop 3 calls the car at stop 2 by pressing the outer push-button switch Da3. Then, by closing switch contact 15, the Circuit closed by the floor relay 3STR, whose contacts 3strl and 3str2 switch on the step-up relay R0 via the contact disc <I> CA 1 </I>.
The contact rol switches off the closed-circuit relay 1RH, whose contact lrhl switches on the relay RZA. The contact rzal closes the circuit of the photo switch lamps LP1 to LP5, so that the relays 1RP to 5RP respond.
When the contact <I> red </I> closes, the relays 3STR and R0 remain energized even after releasing the push-button switch Da3.
In contrast to the previous example, the relay 3RH remains de-energized because a sliding contact 16 cooperating with the contact disc CA2 is located on an isolating point of this disc, so that the closing of the contacts 3str3, 3str4 and ro7 remains ineffective.
The contact raw switches on the relay <I> SE </I>, which closes the switch SE, while the contact ro3 switches on the relay SM, which closes the switch <I> SM '</I>. Contact sm6 switches on relay RZS, via whose contact rzsl the relay <I> SO </I> is excited, which closes switch SO '. The brake air relay <I> BM </I> is excited via the contacts so4 and <I> sei </I>, which releases the brake,
while the motor M, as a result of the closure of the switches SE ', <I> SO' </I> and SM 'in, starts the medium speed level in the upward direction.
Since the contact 3rh2 has remained open due to the non-energization of the relay 3RH, the relay 4RH cannot be energized via one of the sliding contacts cooperating with the disc CA4 even when the contact disks <I> CA 1 </I> to CA4 begin to turn clockwise be, which is why switching .des motor M to the high speed level is omitted.
After a certain rotation of the contact discs CA1 to CA4, a sliding contact 17 cooperating with the disc CA1 comes to an isolating point, whereby the holding circuit of the relay R0 is interrupted. If the relay R0 drops out, the relay 3STR is also switched off by opening the <I> red </I> contact.
A little before stop 3, the photoswitch relay 2RP is switched off by means of a switching flag 2F4, whereupon its contact 2rp2 interrupts the circuit of the relay SM and the latter opens the switch <I> SM '</I>. The contact sm4 is then closed again and the relay SL energized, which closes the switch SL '.
The motor M now decelerates the speed to the low speed level and the car continues slowly until a switching flag 3F3 switches off the photoswitch relay 3RP. Contact 3rp2 now switches off the relay <I> SO </I>, whose contact so4 in turn switches off the brake air relay <I> BM </I>.
The switch SO 'is thus opened, so that the motor M is switched off, while on the other hand the brake is activated so that the car stops very quickly, precisely at the stop 3.
By switching off the relay <I> SO </I>, its contact sol is closed again and the closed-circuit relay 1RH is re-energized, which in the manner already described causes the relays that have not yet returned to their initial position.
In. The following explains the mode of operation of the emergency limit switch to which the switch <I> S </I> <B> E </B> belongs.
If the car drives over the top or bottom stop for any reason, the usual, prescribed emergency limit switch <I> NS </I> comes into action in the manner already explained in order to switch off the motor M.
This switch-off and the subsequent braking that occurs immediately after the BTemsluft- relay <I> BM </I> has dropped out is only sufficiently effective if. the motor M works in the low speed level.
If, when the motor passes over one of the end positions as a result of the failure of any circuit element, in particular a photoswitch, it works in the medium or even in the high speed level, the braking distance when the emergency limit switch NS is triggered is too short to prevent damage to the car preserve. The additional SE emergency limit switch is provided to stop the car in good time.
The end contacts EKo or EK "are - as already mentioned - closed by the cam 9, shortly before the car reaches the top or bottom stop.
Assuming that the car had passed a contact flag 1F4 when traveling upwards at the high speed level without the corresponding relay 1RP having dropped out. A switching flag 4F2 cooperating with the relay 4RP then takes effect and switches off the relay 4RP which was switched on when the lamp LP5 was switched on and its break contact 4rp2 was opened.
This closes the circuit of the RSE relay via the relay contacts 4rp2, ss5, so6 and the end contact EKo.
The relay RSE maintains itself via its contact rse2 and switches off the relay <I> SE </I> with its contact rsel, which in turn opens the switch <I> SE '</I>. As a result, the contact se2 switches the relay <I> SU, </I> the contact se4 the relay SS and the contact is the brake air relay <I> BM </I>, so that the motor M is switched off and the car brakes becomes.
If the switching flag 2F4 is passed while the medium speed level is switched on, the relay 5RP, which interacts with a switching flag 5F2, is switched off and the relay RSE is energized via the relay contacts 5rp2, sm5, so6 and the end contact EKo. The relay <I> SE </I>, which drops out as a result, also switches off relay SM: by means of its contact sel.
The emergency limit switch works in a completely analogous manner if the switching flags 1F1 or 2F1 are passed when driving downwards, with flags 4F1 or 5F1 then interacting with the relays 4RP or 5RP and the lower end contact EK "is closed.
As mentioned earlier, the relay RZS, which is excited either via the contact ss6 or via the contact sm6 when the high or medium speed is switched on, only drops after about 13 seconds after switching off the medium speed level. When the relay RZS drops out, the contact rzsl, which is in the circuits of the relays <I> SU </I> and <I> SO </I>, is opened and the motor is switched off.
From the moment of switching from the medium to the low speed level, the motor has a maximum of around 13 seconds available to fully drive the car into the stop. If, due to an overload or a defect, the motor in the low speed level is not able to bring the car to the stop, it will be switched off after the preferably adjustable delay time of the RZS relay.
This is important because the short-circuit current of the motor in the small stage is smaller than the nominal current in the large stage, so that the thermal motor protection switch MHS is ineffective in the small stage.
It should also be mentioned that in the system shown, the motor M always starts in the middle level because starting in the small level would be too slow.
The elevator system described can of course be modified in various ways. For example, the contact disks <I> CA 1 </I> to CA4 with their sliding contacts can be replaced in a manner known per se by cam curves that work together with flip contacts or by step switches.
Instead of the quick-closing disc CA4, a centrifugal switch can be provided that automatically switches on the high speed level when the motor M has reached a certain speed, while the quick-closing disc CA4 is used to switch on depending on the position of the car. In this case, the copying mechanism only has disks <I> CA 1 </I> to <I> CA 3 </I>. In principle, mechanical switches or magnetically operated switches can also be used instead of photo switches.
Mechanical switches, however, have the disadvantage, especially at high car speeds, that they wear out quickly as a result of the impacts to which they are exposed, and also cause considerable noise. Magnetically actuated switches do not work fast enough at the speeds in question due to the inertia of the magnetic field in practice, while the photo switches work practically inertia.
In addition, the magnetic switches are difficult to adjust, since the mutually moving parts that are to be attached to the cabin or the shaft, may only have a small distance from each other, while between the switching flags on the one hand and the photo resistors or the lamps on the other hand without white Furthermore, relatively large distances may be provided.
Instead of an asynchronous motor with three stator windings with different numbers of poles and a short-circuit rotor, you can of course also use three individual asynchronous motors with different numbers of poles that work on a common shaft.
Compared to the usual drive units in the Ward-Leonard circuit or with most DC-braked special motors at cabin speeds of over 1.2 m / sec, the system described has the great advantage that it only requires a simple and relatively very cheap pole-changing asynchronous motor. Even with any use of three asynchronous motors, such a system is still much more economical than known systems with the same driving comfort.
The maximum speed in the large stage is preferably more than 1.5 m / sec and that in the small stage is suitably 8 to 10 times smaller. If the shaft is very high, a four-stage, pole-changing asynchronous motor can also be used with advantage in a similar way.
Instead of always starting in the medium speed level, the high speed level could also be used directly in order to achieve faster acceleration. However, this causes undesirably large current surges. Finally, it should be noted that in order to achieve optimum driving comfort, the tightening and braking torques of the individual levels must be coordinated with one another.
