Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>
 Boîte de    montre-bracelet   La plupart    des   montres-bracelets peuvent se ranger dans deux catégories : dans l'une, la boîte est montée sur le poignet par le moyen d'un bracelet souple qui fait le tour de celui-ci et dont les extrémités se fixent à    celles   de la boîte, le dispositif pour cette fixation se    trouvant   sur le poignet et étant    ainsi   visible doit présenter un    aspect   agréable ce qui complique sa construction ; très souvent, il est    constitué   par deux cornes qui font partie de la boîte et entre lesquelles passe une barrette sur laquelle se monte l'extrémité du bracelet ;

 Wristwatch box Most wristwatches can be divided into two categories: in one, the box is mounted on the wrist by means of a flexible strap which goes around the latter and whose ends are attached to those of the box, the device for this attachment being on the wrist and thus being visible must have a pleasant appearance which complicates its construction; very often, it consists of two horns which form part of the case and between which passes a bar on which the end of the bracelet is mounted;

   the latter, also visible on the wrist, must also have an appearance harmonizing with that of the box.

  The other category is that of so-called marquises watches comprising two rigid arched branches articulated to the case, circling the wrist, and which a spring tends to keep closed; the joint is usually formed by a hinge which can be made practically invisible. But these boxes have the disadvantage that, the aforementioned branches being rigid, they do not apply exactly around the wrist so that the box is not comfortable to wear; in addition, the spring complicates the construction.

  The box according to the present invention avoids the drawbacks of each of these systems. It relates to a wristwatch case, characterized by two arms each articulated at one of the ends of the case, these curved arms covering the upper face of the wrist with which they are in contact and being linked together by a bracelet. flexible which passes under this wrist and which is thus not visible. The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the present invention.

  Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof, and FIG. 2 an elevation view.

  This embodiment comprises a box 1 at each end of which is articulated a rigid branch 2 respectively 3; the articulation is made by means of a hinge practically invisible from above and comprising a middle wheelwright 4 carried by the box and two terminal wheelwrights 5 carried by the branch, these three wheelwrights being connected by an axis 6.

  Each of the branches has on the inner face of its free end two loops 7 starting from a common base 7a and through which passes one of the ends of a flexible cord 8.

  The box and its two branches approximately cover the upper face of the wrist and the bracelet 8 passes under it.
