Fig. 2 veranschaulicht einen Querschnitt nach Linie A-B der Fig. <B>1.</B>
Flexible hose The invention relates to a flexible hose which can be in various forms, e.g. B. bends, can bend and remains in this form until it is in the straight line or in another line, z. B. another angle, a curve or the like is bent.
Hoses of this type, which can be used, for example, for Füh tion electrical cables for workbench lamps, as a compressed air line for cleaning workpieces, but in particular special as coolant lines for machine tools, are now usually made of wound metal strips and are, especially because of the need for Use of stainless steel, comparatively expensive. In addition, they have a considerable weight, so that, especially after a certain amount of wear and tear, <B> '</B> they no longer maintain the position in which they are bent.
They then have to be tied up in a provisional manner or secured in some other way due to a lack of dimensional stability, which easily results in operational disruptions and inconveniences.
The invention relates to a novel hose construction which no longer has these disadvantages. It consists in that at least one permanently deformable wire is embedded in the wall of a hose so that it can move freely, so that the bending shape given to the hose is retained.
The invention is described with reference to the drawing, in wel cher embodiments of the invention are shown.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the end of a hose according to the invention.
Fig. 2 illustrates a cross section along line A-B of Fig. 1
Fig. 3 shows a further exemplary embodiment in cross section. In FIGS. 1 and 2, <B> 5 </B> denotes a tube which consists of polyvinyl chloride. Four fine channels <B> 7, 8, 9 </B> and <B> 10 </B> are provided in the tube wall coaxially to the lumen <B> 6 </B> of the tube, in which <B> each </B> a soft copper wire <B> 11 </B> lies in such a way that it can move within the channel.
One end of the hose <B> 5 </B> carries a fitting 12 in the form of a sleeve, which is clamped on the hose by pressing in indentations <B> 13, </B> 14 and a threaded connector at the front > 15 </B> with locking nut <B> 16 </B> for connection to any unit. A nipple, which protrudes into the hose, so that it is held between the nipple and the sleeve 12, could also be connected to the back of the connecting piece 15. The other end of the hose is provided with an outlet nozzle, for example.
If you bend the hose in any direction, the wires <B> 11 </B> are also deformed accordingly, and since they do not spring back but remain permanently deformed (until you bend them again in a different direction), it retains Hose the given shape as an angle, curve piece, spiral or the like. As a result of the fact that the wires 11 are not in the axis of the hose, they experience different types of stresses when the hose is bent, depending on whether they are on the outside or inside Bend or angle.
As a result of their free storage in the channels <B> 7, 8 </B> etc., they can still easily adapt to the circumstances. In FIG. 1, it is only indicated for the sake of illustration how the wire 11 protrudes slightly from the channel 7 on the end face of the hose, during the Wire in the channel <B> 9 </B> has shifted slightly in the opposite direction. The related movements of the wires are naturally limited by a stop on the fitting 12.
In FIG. 3, for example, a solution is illustrated in which the lumen <B> 17 </B> of the hose <B> 18 </B> is arranged somewhat eccentrically. In the thicker wall part <B> 19 </B> of the hose, a single channel 20 is provided here in which a correspondingly thick wire <B> 11 </B> is accommodated.
Of course, the idea of the invention can also be implemented differently than according to the drawing examples. For example, in applications in which the hose only needs to be bent in one plane, it would be conceivable, instead of the round wires, to use band-shaped insert material which is either arranged as a single insert according to Reinforcement of the hose must be placed in the hose wall in such a way that the different bands lie in planes parallel to one another.
While the hose is made of polyvinyl chloride as shown in the drawings, other materials would naturally also be usable, such as other plastics or rubber, provided that these materials only have the property that they can be bent elastically. In the same way, the wires to be inserted could not only consist of soft copper.
