Quand sur ledit véhicule il y a - outre la servocommande pneumatique de l'embrayage - une serva-commande pneumatique du changement de vitesse, il est ,néces- saire que l'actionn ement de cette dernière ait lieu une fois effectué le débrayage de l'embrayage;
Toujours à .la fin de la course du, piston de servo- embrayage, et de préférence avec une certaine avance par rapport à l'ouverture du distributeur d'alimenta- tion de la servocommande du changement de vitesse, est également actionné par l'intermédiaire du dispo sitif de commande (25-28) l'interrupteur 1 qui per met l'excitation des électrosoupapes d'action;
Pneumatic servo-control apparatus for disengaging the clutch of a motor vehicle The invention relates to a pneumatic servo-control apparatus for disengaging the clutch of a vehicle, automobile, in particular of a heavy vehicle.
It is known that in order to reduce the effort that the driver of a vehicle has to perform in order to perform several maneuvers, control, a non-negligible effort in the case of heavy vehicles such as autotransmitters, etc.,
provision is made to equip said vehicles with servo-control devices, the intervention of which is such as to supplement the manual effort of the driver and thus make it easy to perform the desired maneuver.
Said servocontrols are frequently used for the release maneuver of the clutch as also for controlling the gear change.
In. in the case of heavy vehicles fitted with a compressed air installation, they are of the pneumatic type and consist essentially of an operator cylinder and an air distributor.
When on said vehicle there is - in addition to the pneumatic servo-control of the clutch - a pneumatic servo-control of the gear change, it is necessary that the actuation of the latter take place once the clutch has been released. 'clutch;
This is why we normally have recourse to an auxiliary distributor which is actuated, and therefore allows the supply of the speed change servo control, only at the end of the clutch release stroke.
In addition, it is frequently necessary to have a pressure reducer which limits the maximum value of the pressure in the gearshift servo-control when values are set for the latter lower than those of the maximum pressure of the tank. installation.
An electric switch must also be available for the excitation of the speed change actuating solenoid valves.
In the current state of the art, the distributor with the servo-clutch operating cylinder, the auxiliary distributor with reduction gear for the gear change servo control and the switch for the activation of the gear change solenoid valves. gear are separate devices and are mounted on the vehicle at locations. various.
This embodiment, besides being bulky, is somewhat complicated by the need to have to resort to flexible connections and pipes, to mechanical connections for the pedal linkage and for the clutch linkage.
The object of the present invention is to avoid these disadvantages. Its object is a pneumatic servo-control device for disengaging the clutch of a motor vehicle, in particular of a heavy vehicle, characterized in that it includes in a single whole a servo-control for disengaging the clutch. ,
an auxiliary valve with pressure reducer for the supply of a servo control device for the speed change and a control device of an electric switch for excitation.
speed change actuation solenoid valves. The accompanying drawing shows, in schematic form, a preferred embodiment of the apparatus according to the invention.
In the body 1 of the device, which is fixed to the frame, are mounted on one side - right side of the drawing - the servo-control device for clutch release S 'and on the other the pressure device. sion R and the control device of the electric switch 1 for the excitation of the speed change solenoid valve.
The actuation of the clutch servo control is obtained by means of the rod 2 arranged along the main axis of the device and the end 3 of which is connected to the clutch pedal linkage (not shown in the drawing).
On the extension of the control rod 2 and on the side opposite to the end 3 is disposed a second rod 4 connected to the clutch engagement linkage (the latter also not being shown in the drawing).
The servo-control S essentially comprises a piston 5 integral with the rod 4 and able to slide in a sealed manner in the body 1 and on the rod 2.
This piston comprises on one side a small compressed air distributor 6 and on the other a chamber 7 through which the fluid is discharged in phase, inaction of the small distributor. In correspondence with the clutch rod 4, the priston 5 has an appendage 8 which serves as a stop against the rod 2, while being kept at a distance from the bottom of the device by means of spacers d.
The small distributor 6 consists essentially of the inlet valve 9 and the actuating rod 10 relating thereto.
The control of this rod is obtained by means of the appendix 11 'of the balance 11 articulated on the head 12 of the rod 2.
The other appendage 11 "of the balance rests on the stop 13 of the piston, installed on the side opposite to that of the small distributor 6 so that in the actuation phase the balance, moved centrally, can turn around this stop and controlling with its appendage 11 'the actuating rod 10 of the small distributor.
This particular embodiment of the control rocker increases the sensitivity of the apparatus because the stroke of the beam on the control rod is half that necessary for opening the small distributor.
Another stop 14 installed on the small distributor in correspondence with the appendix 11 'and at a height lower than that of the stop 13 allows the engagement between said balance and the piston during the mechanical operation of the device.
The chamber 15 of the small distributor receives the supply fluid via a duct 16 arranged inside the rod 2.
The auxiliary distributor D of the speed change servo-control (not shown in the figure) consists of a normal distributor 17 with inlet valve 18 and actuating rod 19 controlled by the bottom 20 of the piston. 5.
Placed on the side of the auxiliary distributor 17 and in communication with it via the passage 21 is the pressure reducer R which is fixed to the body 1 of the device. This com reducer carries a reduction valve 22, normally lifted from its seat by means of a piston 23 under the action of a loaded spring 24.
The electrical switch 1 is controlled by a rod 25 which can slide parallel to the rod 2 and subjected on one side to an antagonist spring 26 and on the other side 27 to the control action of the bottom of the piston 5. The engagement between said rod and the actuating rod 28 of the switch 1 is obtained by means of an inclined plane coupling made between the hollow 29 of said rod and the end of the rod 28 .
The device is pneumatically connected to the compressed air reservoir at A and to the gearshift servo-control at B. In the diagram corresponding to the rest or inaction condition, the compressed air via from fitting A, chamber 30 and pipe 16 arrives at chamber 15 of small distributor 6.
During operation, the driver of the vehicle by acting on the clutch pedal determines the movement to the left (of the drawing) of the rod 2 which, by means of the balance 11 acts on the small rod 10 of the distributor which is push against valve 9 until the exhaust is closed and the inlet opens.
The compressed air from the chamber 15, through the intermediary of the valve 9 and the chambers 31 and 32, acts on the piston 5 which, in agreement with the rod 2, moves to the left, driving the connected rod 4 to the clutch.
In this way, any movement of the clutch pedal (of rod 2) corresponds to a well-defined movement of piston 5 (of rod 4): there is thus a perfectly graduated and controlled movement of the clutch, both in disengagement phase and in clutch phase.
With the control stroke continuing, once the clutch has been released after the stroke, the bottom 20 of the piston 5 bears against the small rod 19 of the auxiliary distributor which is pushed against the valve 18 until the discharge is closed and opening of the inlet, so that the compressed air from chamber 30 is sent to the gearshift servo control through chamber 33, valve 18,: passage 21, chamber 34, valve valve reduction 22 and pipe B.
As said above, the reduction valve 22 is normally opened by the action of the spring 24 against which the piston 23 acts. The load of the spring 24 is established so that, at a pre- determined by the pressure given to the gearshift servo-control,
the pneumatic action on this piston 23 overcomes the action of the spring 24 by determining the closing of the valve 22 and preventing any subsequent increase of of pressure in the pipe connected at B.
Also at the end of the stroke of the servo-clutch piston, and preferably with a certain advance relative to the opening of the feed distributor of the gearshift servo-control, is also actuated by the gearshift servo. intermediary of the control device (25-28) switch 1 which enables the excitation of the action solenoid valves;
gear change. In this way, the period of excitation of these solenoid valves is limited to the single phase of disengaging the clutch.
When the clutch pedal is released, the distributor rods 10 and 19 are separated from their respective valves so that the compressed air from the gearshift servo can flow into the atmosphere. through the intermediary of the connection B, the valve 22, the chamber 34, the duct 35 of the small rod 19, the chamber 37 and the discharge 38.
In the same way, the air from the servo-control of the clutch of the chamber 32, through the chamber 31, the internal duct 36 of the small .tige 10, and. chambers 7 and 37, flows through the outlet 38 until resting conditions are restored (clutch engagement).
In the event that for some reason the compressed air is lacking, the mechanical disengagement of the clutch is always possible since the balance 11, once the opening stroke of the small rod 10 has been completed, engages with the stop 14 so that the rod 2 can drive rigidly in its: movement towards. the left piston 5 and rod 4 connected to the clutch.
