Im SVF-Fachorgan 14 l85-195 (1959) erläu tert J. Wegmann den Reaktionsmechanismus der be kannten wasserlöslichen Reaktivfarbstoffe (der ein getragenen Marken Procion , Procion H , Ciba- cron , Cibalanbrillant ), welche einen;

Process for dyeing, padding or printing synthetic polyamide fibers The present invention relates to a process for dyeing, padding or printing synthetic polyamide fibers with anthraquinone dyes free of water-solubilizing groups, which is characterized in that anthraquinone dyes are used which at least one Low molecular weight haloalkyls bound to an aromatic nucleus:
group, preferably a halomethyl group and in particular a special chloromethyl group.
The anthraquinone dyes used can be prepared from arylamino, aryloxy or arylthioanthraquinones by haloalkylation, eg. B. by chloromethylation with dichlorodimethyl ether in an acidic condensing agent, preferably, in concentrated sulfuric acid, according to the method of the USA patent no. 2662902 .
The following are examples of arylamino, aryloxy or arylthioanthraquinones which are suitable for the preparation of the dyes to be used:
1-Hydroxy-4-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1-Amino-4-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1-Amino-2-methyl-4-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1-Amino-2-bromo-4-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1- Amino-4-arylamino-anthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid alkyl esters, 1-amino-2-alkoxy-4-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1-amino-2-aryloxy-4-hydroxy-anthraquinones, 1-amino-2- aryloxy-4-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1,4-diamino-2-aryloxy-anthraquinones, 1,4-diarylamino-anthraquinones, 1-amino-5-arylamino-anthraquinones,
1-Amino-8-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1,5-dihydroxy-4-amino-8-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1,8-dihydroxy-4-amino-5-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1, 5-dihydroxy-4-nitro-8-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1,8-D @ ihydroxy-4-nitro-5-arylamino-anthraquinones, 1,5-dihydroxy-4,8-diamino-2- (3) -hydroxyphenyl-anthraquinones, 1,5-dihydroxy-4,8-diamino-2- (3) -alkoxyphenyl-anthraquinones, 1,
5-dihydroxy-4,8-diamino-2- (3) -aryloxyphenyl-anthraquinones.
Here, aryl preferably denotes a phenyl or naphthyl radical which is optionally substituted by hydroxy, alkyl, alikoxy or aryloxy groups.
As synthetic polyamide fibers, for. B. Nylon, Perlon, Rilsan (registered trademarks) into consideration.
The dyeing is preferably carried out in a weakly acidic to neutral medium at 80 to 100 C at atmospheric pressure or at 100 to 130 C under pressure. After dyeing, the dye can be fixed on the synthetic polyamide fibers by treating with an alkaline substance at 100 ° C.
Alkali metal carbonates, bicarbonates, phosphates or silicates or the hydroxides of the alkali metals and the alkaline earth metals are preferably used as alkaline reacting substances.
Alkaline pad suspensions or alkaline printing pastes can be used for padding or printing, and the prints or pad coloring can be developed using dry or moist heat treatment.
or you can pad the synthetic polyamide fibers with a neutral pad suspension and then subject them to a heat treatment in the presence of an alkali. The dyeings and prints obtained have good to very good light fastness, very good pleating and sublimation fastness and, moreover, excellent washing, perspiration and water fastness.
The above-mentioned US Pat. No. 2,662,902 describes the preparation of the dyes used here, but only mentions their use as intermediates in the preparation of dyes, e.g. B. by conversion into the corresponding quaternary ammonium compounds or isothiouronium salts.
In SVF specialist organ 14 185-195 (1959) J. Wegmann explains the reaction mechanism of the known water-soluble reactive dyes (the registered trademarks Procion, Procion H, Cibacron, Cibalanbrillant), which one;
Contain monochloro or dichlorotriazinyl radical, with protein fibers, whereby he particularly points out the inertia of the polyamide fibers compared to wool. It was therefore not to be expected that water-insoluble disperse dyes would be able to be fixed in a simple manner on synthetic polyamide fibers.
In the following examples, parts are parts by weight, percentages are percentages by weight, and temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Example 1 1 part of the dye produced by chloromethylation of 1-amino-2-methyl-4- (4 'methoxy) -phenylamino-arthraquinone with dichlorodimethyl ether (chlorine content 8.5%,
calculated value for 1 chloromethyl group 8.7%) is ground in a ball mill with 1 part sodium dinaphthylmethane disulfonate as a dispersant, 1 part monosodium phosphate as buffer and 10 parts water.
The dispersion thus obtained is added to 4000 parts of water which still contains 4 parts of sodium lauryl sulfate. 100 parts of nylon are added to this dyebath at 40, the liquor is heated to boiling temperature within 30 minutes and is kept at this temperature for a further 30 minutes. To fix the dye, a solution of 10 parts of calcined soda in 100 parts of water is then added to the dyebath and the temperature is kept at 95-100 for another hour. The pH value of the bath should never drop below 10.
The dyeing is then rinsed, soaped for 15 minutes with a solution of 1.5 parts of octylphenyl decaglycol ether in 4000 parts of water at 70 and rinsed again. This gives a pure blue dyeing with very good wet and light fastness properties.
Example 2 The dispersion of 1 part of the dye obtained by chloromethylation of 1,4-di- (4'-methylphenylamino) anthraquinone with dichlorodimethyl ether in 98% sulfuric acid, 1 Part of a dispersant, such as B. sodium dinaphthyl methane disulfonate, 1 part of a buffer, such as. B.
Monosodium phosphate and 10 parts of water is suspended in 4000 parts of water which still contains 1 part of oleyl eicosagl'ykoläther. 100 parts of nylon are dyed according to the instructions given in Example 1 in this dyebath. A solution of 10 parts of trisodium phosphate in 100 parts of water is then added to fix the dye on the fiber and it is kept at 95-100 for 1 hour. Then the colored material is rinsed, soaped and rinsed again.
The green dyeing obtained in this way has very good wet and light fastness properties.
Example 3 1 part of the dye obtained by chloromethylation of 1-methyl-amino-4- (4'-methyl) -phenylamino-anthraquinone is mixed with 1 part of sodium dinaphthyl methanedisulfonate, 1 part of monosodium phosphate and 10 parts Brought water in a ball mill in finely divided form. This dispersion is added to 3000 parts of water which contains 1 part of a highly sulfonated castor oil.
At 60 , 100 parts of nylon are put into this dye bath, the liquor is heated to 120 in 45 minutes and kept at 120 for 30 minutes, after which it is allowed to cool again to 60. The dye is then boiled in a solution of 10 parts of soda ash and 4000 parts of water for 1 hour, rinsed with water, then soaped and rinsed again.
Example 4 nylon fabric (nylon 6,6) is on a 2- or multi-roll foulard at 20-40 with a pad of 20 g / 1 dispersed dye, which is obtained by chloromethylation of 1-amino-2- methyl-4- (4'-methyl) -phenylaminoanthraquinone was obtained (chlorine content 10.10 / a, chlorine content calculated for 1 chloromethyl group 9.9%),
1-4 gll of a thickening agent, such as. B. sodium alginate, and 5 to 20 gll sodium carbonate impregnated, dried at 100 ge and then heat-set at 210 for 30-90 seconds. After rinsing, the goods are soaped with a solution of 0.5g nonylphenyl decaglycol ether per liter on the reel vat at 60 or continuously at the boiling temperature. At the end, it is rinsed and dried again.
This gives a pure blue dyeing with very good wet and light fastness properties.
The table below lists further dyes with at least one chloromethyl group which are suitable for dyeing synthetic polyamide fibers by the process according to the invention.
