Fig. 2a und2b zeigen einen Ring in zwei An sichten.
Fig. 3, 4, 5 zeigen Ausführungsformen des Ringes.
Fig. 6 zeigt verschiedene Ringprofile.
Hose fastening, in particular for fire hoses The invention relates to a hose fastening on a nipple provided with grooves, in particular for fire hoses.
The invention consists in that at least one elastically compressible ring is provided, which is pushed over the hose pushed over the nipple and radially compressed by means of a sleeve pushed over it, with the hose part underneath being pressed into the groove in a sealing manner at the same time.
The invention is explained in more detail using an embodiment example.
Fig. 1 shows a hose attachment according to the invention in section.
Fig. 2a and 2b show a ring in two views.
3, 4, 5 show embodiments of the ring.
Fig. 6 shows different ring profiles.
Fig. 7 shows an attachment for a high pressure hose and Fig. 8 shows an embodiment of the sleeve.
In Fig. 1, 1 is the hose, e.g. B. a fire hose which is attached to the nipple 2. 3 is the union nut on which the couple together, z. B. with another hose. The nipple has grooves 4 and 5. Rings 6 and 7 are pushed over the places where the hose lies directly over the grooves. These rings are designed so that they can be compressed radially. The rings and the underlying hose parts are pressed into the grooves by external forces acting radially inwards. A sleeve 8 which can be pushed over the two rings is provided for radial compression.
Before the hose is pushed over the nipple and the rings are placed, the sleeve is pushed back over the end of the hose; then the sleeve is pushed along the hose over the two rings; It is useful here that the inwardly lying edges of the sleeve or the outwardly lying edges of the rings are bevelled or rounded at an angle. This results in a wedge effect, which makes it easier to pull the sleeve. Previously, at least a partial squeezing ion can be done by hand or by means of a special tool. When the sleeve is pushed over, the hose parts under the rings are pressed into the grooves.
The hose can be pressed down to the bottom of the grooves. This seals the hose on the nipple.
The process of attaching the hose to the nipple is a very simple one. The sleeve itself ensures that the rings always remain evenly compressed with the necessary pressure and that the hose rests evenly and tightly on the nipple. The holding strength under excess pressure is so great that experience has shown that the hose is more likely to burst than the nipple is torn off the hose.
FIGS. 2a and 2b show an exemplary embodiment of the elastically compressible ring. It has the shape of the well-known sealing ring of a cylinder piston. The rings have two axially overlapping guide lugs 10 that can be moved relative to one another.
In order to press the hose onto the bottom of the groove in the nipple, it is necessary that the hose is elastically flexible. With hemp and rubber hoses, this flexibility is sufficient. Are the hoses made of stable rem material, such. B. plastic, it is advisable to use a flexible layer on the bottom of the grooves, e.g. B. a rubber band pad to insert.
The hose fastening is used with particular advantage for hemp hoses. If water leaks, the fabric swells and thus increases the sealing pressure on the nipple. In addition, diameter differences can be compensated for.
The way in which the hose is pressed into the grooves allows the hose to be securely held on the nipple even during the highest pressures. As a result of the internal overpressure, the hose has a tendency to slip off as soon as the overpressure exceeds the friction force of the hose on the nipple. If such a slide occurs, the ring entrained in the process presses the hose with its side surface onto the opposite side surface of the groove. According to FIG. 1, the hose jams ver under the action of the compressive force component Pi "and there is an additional sealing effect.
The sealing pressure increases in this way with the axial effect of the operating pressure PI. The radially acting force PIt which occurs under the action of the sleeve being pushed over and compressing the ring remains constant. This sealing is fully guaranteed when done correctly. This is also the case when the radial pressure of the hose is not particularly great or the tolerance level is not particularly good. This property is in turn particularly advantageous for fire hoses because the attachment of coupling nipples z. B. on fire can be carried out easily and quickly.
3 and 4 show further execution possibilities of the rings with a rectangular cross-section using inclined guide surfaces that also overlap laterally, that is, in the axial direction. Fig. 5 shows a ring which is composed of one or more wire rings. The ends of the wire rings also overlap laterally, i.e. axially.
The rings can also have cambered pressure surfaces, as shown in FIG. 6 in different profile shapes. The crowning has the advantage that the seal results in a distributed surface pressure of the hose under the effect of the radial and axial forces. This largely prevents the hose from being crushed.
In Fig. 7, an embodiment for a high pressure hose connection is shown. The sleeve has a thread 12 with which the sleeve is pulled up with great force on the rings or the nipple when z. B. high pressure hoses with steel jacket inserts are used.
According to FIG. 8, the sleeve can also be provided with sawtooth-shaped internal grooves. This will certainly prevent the sleeve from slipping.
According to the invention, the hose fastening can also be used in a double socket, where a pipe nipple has grooves on both sides for connecting a hose on both sides.
