10 be zeichnet.
Board with cladding The present invention relates to a board made of wood or other fibrous material, which is mucked out with a cladding made of metal or plastic (plastic) on at least one of its broad sides, usually the side that is exposed to the outside when used should be swept, that is, on the outside.
The purpose of the invention is to create an execution of a clad board that allows a composition with similar boards to a resistant to climatic stresses' I "apples for the outside of the walls or roofs of buildings, but can also be used in other types can.
However, a lower quality board material can also be used in that - such material is covered in a suitable manner with thin sheet metal, -which can be easily shaped after the board and forms an effective protection for the same. Such boards can also be put together to form a protective paneling for walls or roofs.
The invention is characterized in that the cladding is folded in grooves in the two longitudinal narrow sides of the board in such a way that the edges of the folded edges of the cladding face the bottom of the groove in question. The shrinking and swelling z. B.
of the wood, which occurs when there is a change in humidity and which is particularly large in the transverse direction of the fibers (the transverse direction of the board), can be made without damaging the paneling.
On the other hand, a cladding made of sheet metal can expand and contract in a board made according to the invention without being prevented by their edge engagement in the board.
It is beneficial if the. The clear width of the groove of the thickness of the clad edge part of the board forming the side of the groove is equal to or slightly larger so that the clad edge part of the board acts as a tongue in the groove of a similar clad board to form a stair-like paneling for e.g.
B. roofs or walls can be introduced. The clad edge part of the board can then be inserted as a tongue into the groove of another, similarly clad board to create a stair-like paneling or cladding for z. B.
Roofs or walls to: form. Such paneling or cladding not only has a special strength, but also an attractive appearance.
One of the greatest previous difficulties, namely the creation of an effective and simple seal between the facing materials of the various boards, enables the invention to overcome when the facing materials of the adjacent boards overlap and the protective facing of one board is the protective facing of the touches others under pressure.
A further improvement in the seal between the adjacent boards can be achieved in that the lining edge folded in along the groove forms an expediently resilient sealing strip. When the boards are pushed together
After the edge parts have been put together for the purpose of interlocking, this resilient sealing strip is pressed against the lining of the adjacent board, so that the seal is achieved in the joint between the boards.
In this way, a coherent seal is achieved between the cladding of the various boards, and at the same time a seal is obtained which allows free expansion in different weather conditions in such a way that the wood material has the opportunity to shrink and expand without damming the seal between the panels is deteriorated.
Some embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawing. F!,. 1 is a perspective view of covered boards, and FIG. 2 is an end view of the joint between two boards shown in FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a second embodiment, and Fig. 4 shows an end view of a third embodiment of the invention.
1 shows a wooden board 1 as well as the adjoining parts of boards 2, 3 located on both sides of the same. Each board is on the side that is turned outwards, that is, on its outside, with an external cladding 4 made of sheet metal , Plastic or the like.
The boards are provided with a groove 5 in the two longitudinal edges. The Aussenverklei extension 4 covers the flat outside of the board as well as the edges of those edge parts 6 and 7 that are outside the grooves 5 in the longitudinal edges of the board in question,
and the outer cladding also extends into each groove with an edge portion 8. The edge parts of the board within the relevant groove opposite the edge parts 6 and 7 are marked with 9 and 10 be.
As can be seen from the drawing, the covered edges of a board are in the. opposite edge parts of the adjacent board ge leads so that the edge parts and their cladding overlap each other.
In Fig. 2 thus protrudes the edge part 6 of a board 1 with its cladding 4 into the groove 5 of the board 2, that is, past the edge part 8 of the outer cladding of the last-mentioned board.
It should be noted here that the edge part 8 rests against the flat outside of the outer cladding 4 of the board 1, so that sheet metal rests against sheet metal. The edge part 8 can be made resilient so that it rests tightly against the sheet metal of the board 1, which prevents
that water penetrates into the joint between the boards. The seal can be partially improved by inserting or wedging sealing material between the edge: 8 and the outside of the cladding 4.
It can be seen that the wood of the boards has the opportunity to swell and shrink without affecting the Alb seal,
because the sheet metal cladding is insensitive to changes in moisture and thus a sealing contact between the edge part 8 of one board 2 and the adjacent flat outside of the sheet 4 of the other board - 1 (Fig. 2) is maintained. Mobility in planes parallel to the outside of the boards is thus achieved with this type of construction without endangering the seal.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, both edge parts 6 and 7 of the board engage in the grooves 5 of the adjacent boards 2 and 3, but the same advantages of sealing can be achieved if, as shown in FIG shown ', the inner edge part 9 of the board 1 engages in the groove 5 of a board 2, while,
the outer edge part 7 engages in the groove 5 of the other board 3 or, in other words, when the inner and the outer edge parts of one and the same board alternately engage in the grooves 5 of the adjacent boards 2 and 3.
In Fig. 4, the three boards 1, 2 and 3 with an outer cladding 4 made of sheet metal or plastic as in the previous embodiment, but fer ner with a verse cladding 4 'made of sheet metal, plastic or the like also shown on the inside.
The cladding is arranged in the same way on both sides, whereby two sealing points 11, 12 are created at each joint, so that the penetration of moisture into the joint is prevented.
The boards are shown in Fig. 4 with edge parts and grooves interlocking together, as illustrated in Fig. 1, but it is also possible to arrange them with alternating, inner and outer 'edge parts, engaging in adjacent grooves ,
as shown in FIG.
Covered boards of the nature described above can be arranged horizontally or vertically with the longitudinal edges. They are suitable as external paneling both on roofs and on walls for @ e @ hänr @ e
