Fig. 1-4 zeigen eine Ausrichtvorrichtung, bei der der Fühler als Klappe ausgebildet ist;
Fig. 5 zeigt eine Ausführungsform der Vorrichtung, bei der der Fühler an einem Schieber angeordnet ist;
Device for aligning swing top bottles
The invention relates to a device for aligning swing top bottles with a sensor that scans the legs of the swing top, the task of which is to bring the bottles into such a position before reaching the labeling station that the label seat corresponds to the position of the swing top.
When aligning swing top bottles, the procedure is generally such that the bottle is rotated about its longitudinal axis until it has assumed a certain position with respect to the labeling station, the rotational movement being interrupted by the interaction of a sensor and locking device scanning the swing top.
The previously known devices for aligning swing top bottles in constantly operating labeling machines or other bottle handling machines do not always work reliably, due to the different shape and size of the swing top parts. In addition, especially when separate sensors and blocking elements are provided, these devices require an increased expenditure of construction elements, which is not only uneconomical but also relatively susceptible to failure and wear.
In contrast, the present invention relates to a very simple and reliably working alignment device which essentially consists of a sensor provided with a recess.
With respect to the longitudinal axis of the bottle, this recess has an inclination which corresponds to the inclination of one of the legs of the bracket connection. In this way, taking advantage of the fact that the legs of the upper bracket of a tensioned closure have an inclination to the longitudinal axis of the bottle, it is achieved that only the leg of the bracket closure, whose inclination corresponds to the inclination of the recess, can snap into the recess of the sensor opposite legs can not lock because its inclination is opposite to the inclination of the recess.
The sensor, the recess of which is preferably in the form of a slot, can be formed by a lever pivotable about a pivot point or a flap which, under the influence of a spring, rests with flexible pressure against the clip closure parts of the rotating bottle, the pivot axis of the lever or the flap can be arranged either parallel or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bottle. The arrangement can also be made in such a way that a slide under the action of a spring carries the sensor, the slide being mounted displaceably in a guide perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bottle.
To further simplify the device, it is expedient to arrange the pivot point or the guide of the sensor on the device centering the bottle head and holding it during the alignment process.
Some exemplary embodiments of the alignment device according to the invention are shown in the drawing.
1-4 show an alignment device in which the sensor is designed as a flap;
Fig. 5 shows an embodiment of the device in which the sensor is arranged on a slide;
Fig. 6 shows a device in which the feeler is carried by a lever.
The closed bottle 1 to be labeled arrives in a known manner standing on a conveying device in the area of the labeling station. On the way to the labeling station, the bottle is set in rotation about its longitudinal axis by a device, not shown, in the drive of which a friction clutch is expediently switched on.
During this rotation of the bottle 1, as illustrated with FIGS. 1-4, a sensor 2 in the form of a flap rests against the clip closure parts. This sensor 2, which is under the influence of a torsion spring 3, is pivoted about the bolt 4, which in turn is arranged in the device 5 which centers the bottle 1 by grasping the bottle head and holds it during the alignment process.
As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 2 and 4, the resilient sensor 2 is provided with a recess 6 in the form of a slot whose inclination with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bottle corresponds to the inclination of the leg 7 of the swing top. If, as shown in FIGS. 1-2, the leg 8 reaches the area of the recess 6 by the rotation of the bottle 1, the legs 8 cannot snap into the recess 6 due to the opposing inclination and the bottle 1 continues to rotate until the leg 7 reaches the area of the recess 6. In this position, as shown in Fig.
3-4 show, the leg 7 into the recess 6 of the sensor 2, whereby the rotational movement of the bottle 1 is interrupted. In the position aligned in this way, the bottle then moves into the area of the labeling station following the alignment device.
Another embodiment of the alignment device is shown in FIG. 5, in which the sensor 2 is attached to a slide 9. The arrangement is such that the slide 9 is slidably mounted in the holding device 5, the sensor 2 also resting against the clip fastener parts with flexible pressure under the influence of a spring (not shown). Another exemplary embodiment is shown with FIG. In this case, the sensor 2 is arranged on a lever 11 which can be pivoted about a pivot point 10 and is under the influence of a tension spring 12.
