Lung-Controlled Membrane Valve for Breathing Apparatus with Nutrient Gas Supply Lung-controlled diaphragm valves for respiratory protection and diving devices are known, which are connected to the respiratory tract of the device wearer by a corrugated tube. If these devices are used for gas protection, the exhalation valve is located on the breathing mask.
If the devices are used for diving, the exhalation valve is expediently arranged in the immediate vicinity of the membrane of the lung-controlled valve. For this reason, a second breathing tube leads back to the exhalation valve, which is usually arranged above the membrane. This has the disadvantage of using two breathing hoses.
Lung-controlled mybranch valves are also known, which are worn on the breathing mask and fixedly connected to the breathing mask or arranged so that they can be screwed in. It is known to arrange the exhalation valve on the membrane.
With this design, there is a risk that, so far away from the mask, some water flows into the connection piece to the interior of the lung-controlled valve, this water can be atomized when inhaled through the escape of the nutrient gas under pressure in such a way that it becomes mist again flows back into the mask and thus contributes significantly to fogging of the mask window. Furthermore, it is disadvantageous that some of the exhaled air remains in the control chamber of the lung-controlled valve at the end of exhalation.
This stale air is inhaled again the next time you inhale. Furthermore, there is the risk that the valve arranged on the membrane will leak if the membrane oscillates occasionally, so that water can penetrate through the AusaIcinveritil when diving during inhalation and lead to the atomization mentioned. Finally, the known design has the disadvantage of a relatively high exhalation resistance.
The invention seeks to avoid the disadvantages of the known design. The invention be a lung-controlled diaphragm valve for breathing devices with nutrient gas supply, and is characterized in that in the Einatenikkammer closed by the control membrane from a locking menibran with a non-return valve arranged on this, opening in the direction of the inhalation path is angeord net, and this locking membrane smaller than the control diaphragm and designed so that in the rest position it seals with prestress against a valve seat arranged in or on the housing,
where in the space separated by the valve seat from, sen is in connection with the surrounding medium. This avoids all of the disadvantages described at the beginning. In the case of the valve according to the invention, water cannot get into the control room. Exhaled air is also not passed into this room.
The invention will be described with reference to the embodiments shown in the drawing, specifically showing: FIG. 1 shows a section through a first embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a partial section of a modified embodiment.
In the example according to FIG. 1, a membrane 2 is arranged in the inhalation chamber 1, which is closed by the control membrane, which is smaller than the control membrane and is designed in such a way that it is inserted sometimes against the chamber 1 and on the other against the surrounding medium at the valve seat 3 .
Since a Vontile disk 4 is also provided on this membrane, the exhaled air entering through the connector 5 cannot enter the chamber 1 Rather, the overpressure pushes the valve disk 4 onto the seat 6 and thereby lifts the membrane 2, so that the valve seat 3 lifts off and so does the exhaled air through the slits 7 into the open air or into the surrounding medium.
During the subsequent inhalation, the membrane 2 is pressed onto the valve seat 3 by the pre-tensioning, whereby a perfect seal is achieved. In addition, the valve disc 4 rises and allows the nutrient gas to flow to the respiratory organs.
FIG. 2 shows a simplified form of this membrane 2, the valve seat 3 shown in FIG. 1 in the form of an angular ring 8 > is pulled up.
A simplified mounting of the membrane is also shown by means of a ring 9 pushed over the membrane socket 10 : as a result of this ring, the membrane has no way of getting out of the socket 10 to jump out.
The advantage brought about by the design according to the invention arises initially from the fact that the valve 4 closes during exhalation and now the pressure can act on the entire area of the membrane enclosed by the Vontile seat 3, so that only a low exhalation resistance results.
Of course, the membrane 2 in the upper part can also be so stiff that it only serves as a dividing wall, while the movement for opening the valve seat 3 is carried out by the collar 11 . In this case, the overpressure created during exhalation only affects the. ring surface formed by the collar. This increases the exhalation resistance and the valve 4 only retains its function as a non-return valve, it no longer serves to reduce the exhalation resistance. However, the above-mentioned Nachtefle of the known Ausfüh ments are also eliminated by this embodiment.
