Still projector, which, in addition to the normal lens for projecting the whole image, also has a lens with a shorter focal length for enlarging image sections. There are known devices for achieving a sudden change in the format of the projection image of cinema projectors, the format change being achieved by appropriately shaped image windows ,
@that on the one hand they are coupled with appropriate additional lenses to achieve the size compensation, on the other hand they are also necessarily coupled with light screens or
a device are connected, which ensures a constant light density of the projection image, so that all three units can be switched into the light path of the projector with a single movement, with the screens (light screens, image windows) and the front-end devices being arranged in series and, if necessary, exchangeable.
However, this device has the disadvantage that the section with the smallest magnification has to be masked out very strongly, so that a not inconsiderable part of the luminous flux of the projection lamp is lost unused. In addition, it is not possible with these devices to capture any section of an image for enlargement.
Devices are also known with two or more lenses with different focal lengths which are arranged such that they can be pivoted in such a way that one or the other of them can optionally be brought into the beam path of the projector. Devices are also known
in which two lenses are fixed and the beam path of the projector can be guided optionally through one or the other lens with the help of a mirror. These devices have the disadvantage that images of different magnifications appear differently bright.
The present invention relates to a still projector which, in addition to the normal lens for projecting the entire image, also has a lens of shorter focal length for enlarging image sections.
According to the invention, this projector is characterized in that it has an image slide arranged horizontally and vertically adjustable in its plane in front of a housing-fixed, image-delimiting mask, the adjustment range of which is sufficient to allow any section of the overall image delimited by the mask to capture.
Compared to the known still image projectors of the aforementioned type, the object of the invention is characterized above all by the advantage that sections of the image can be captured and enlarged from any point in the overall image. The projection of the image sections can take place with full utilization of the lamp power.
According to its character, the effect of enlarging the detail is to be equated with a telephoto lens picture. If the picture was taken with a telephoto lens, the telephoto effect can be increased accordingly by enlarging the section.
In addition, several motifs can be projected in quick succession from the overall picture by continually adjusting the magnification slide.
Furthermore, a demonstration effect, which should not be underestimated, arises with constant movement of this image slide, as a result of which successive parts of the image slide past onto the projection screen. Here the impression for the viewer is about the same,
as it arises when playing back films made by panning a film camera in a panoramic shot.
The range of application of the proposed projector is not limited to purely photographic motifs. Rather, when projecting scientific or technical recordings (e.g. for circuit diagrams, plans or the like) it should often be an advantage if the projected image can be scanned as if with a magnifying glass.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
FIGS. 1 and 2 show the first exemplary embodiment in a vertical central longitudinal section with the movable parts in different positions.
Fig. 3 shows in the vertical central longitudinal section the optical device for the second game Ausführungsbei.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a still projector is provided which has two housings 1 and 10, respectively. In the housing 1, the projector lamp 2, along with the reflector mirror 3 and the condenser lenses 4, 5, are arranged in the usual way.
In front of the condenser lens 5 there is an opening 6 for the passage of the light beam. 7. In front of the opening 6, the usual image slider 8 for the normal lens 9 is also arranged to project the overall image, which in turn sits in the front of the housing 10 located directly in front of the housing,
whose rear wall is provided with a corresponding opening for the passage of the light beam 7. At a distance h below the lens 9 is a in the front wall of the housing 10. Lens 11 shorter focal length arranged. The housing 10 can be displaced upward by this distance h into the position shown in FIG. 2 and can be locked in this position. The rear wall of the housing 10 has at the ob jective 11 opposite point
likewise an opening for the beam 7 to pass through. Behind the lens 11 is a housing-fixed mask 12, with an opening smaller than the size of the overall image, in front of which there is an image slider 13 that can be adjusted vertically and horizontally in its plane, the adjustment range of which is sufficient for any section delimited by the mask 12 -the overall picture,
capture. The distance of the image slider 13 from the front wall of the housing 10 is determined by the fact that the light beam 7 used to project the entire image is used undiminished through the condensation 4, 5 for the projection of these sections,
when the housing 10 is raised from the position shown in FIG. 1 into the position shown in FIG.
The lens 11 of shorter focal length has a significantly larger aperture ratio than the normal lens 9, so that here too the entire light beam 7 can pass through without being weakened. This ensures that the enlarged section appears just as bright as the normal projection image.
When projecting. of the overall image, according to FIG. 1, the normal objective 9 is in the beam path 7 of the projector, where. Diaposi to be projected is inserted into the slide 8.
If a section of the slide is to be projected even further enlarged, then the slide is inserted into the slide 13 and, after lifting the housing 10 into the position shown in FIG. 2, it is pushed so far in the vertical and horizontal directions that the predetermined image section is bounded by the mask 12.
The shifting of the image slider 13 can be followed by known means, for example with the help of horizontally and vertically slidably guided racks that are each engaged with a rotatably mounted pinion which is rotatable by means of an adjusting knob.
But it is also possible to use a rack with a pinion only for the vertical displacement and to make the hori zontal displacement simply by hand along a guide rail.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from the above explained in that the two lenses 9, 11 and the associated image slide 8 and 13 are arranged in a common housing, not shown, which is also the one according to FIG. 1, 2 in Housing 1 contains arranged parts.
In the common housing, a mirror 14 is also arranged in an inclined position between the condenser lenses 4, 5, which can be swiveled up around its upper edge out of the beam path of the condenser 4, 5 and in this swiveled up position allows the overall image to be projected through the lens 9.
Above the folding mirror 14 there is a condenser lens 15 fixed to the housing and above it a mirror 16 fixed to the housing, which deflects the beam path for the image detail enlargement through the mask 12, the image slider 13 and the objective 11, corresponding to the beam 17.
