Description
Joint, in particular for the drive shafts in motor vehicles The invention relates to a joint which is intended to be used in particular for the drive shafts in motor vehicles. There are joints be known in which bushings are used to support the pivot pin in the support eyes of the joint flanges, which bil either the outer shell of plain bearings or the outer ring of roller bearings. In order to hold these bushes in the lifting eyes, locking rings are provided which are attached to the outside of the lifting eyes.
For this purpose, grooves are provided in the lifting eyes into which the locking rings snap. However, this Ausfüh tion has the disadvantage that a corresponding space must be provided for these locking rings, which requires an extension of the liner.
In order to remedy this and to save a special space for the locking ring, according to the invention, the resilient locking ring holding the liner of the Zap is arranged in a groove in the support eye of the joint flange. This eliminates the need to lengthen the liner and the joint can be made accordingly lighter.
Appropriately in the support eye is angeord designated groove with a recess, for. B. a bore, provided for a projection of the locking ring, whereby the ring is secured against rotation. In addition, the carrying eye has an outwardly open bore for passing a tool so that the resilient locking ring can be opened in order to be able to remove the liner if necessary.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of a joint according to the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a liner of the joint and FIG. 2 shows a cross section.
On the flange 1 of the joint there are several support eyes 2 in the usual way, into which a liner 3 is inserted. This liner 3 serves as an outer ring for the needles 4, which roll on the pin 5. Between the needles 4 and the pin 5, a thrust washer 6 can be provided in the usual manner. The roller bearing is also closed by a seal 7.
To keep the liner 3 in the support eye 2, a resilient locking ring 8 is provided, which is inserted into a groove 9 of the support eye. This groove has a recess 10 which can be formed by a corre sponding hole. In this recess protrudes from a projection 11 of the locking ring 8, whereby the ring is secured against twisting gesi.
On the side opposite the projection, the ring 8 is slotted so that end faces 8a are located here. At this point, the groove 9 is provided with an outwardly open bore 12. In this way, it is possible to press the end faces 8a apart with a tool through this bore so that the ring 8 with its projections 8b is pressed out of the groove 13 which is located in the liner. In this way you can remove the liner from the eye.
