Description

Slip ring body for electrical machines The invention relates to a grinding wheel body for electrical machines with a hub and slip rings shrunk onto support rings made of steel. In known slip ring bodies of this type, an insulating plate made of hard paper is arranged between every two rings. Such slip ring bodies are relatively expensive to manufacture.

There are also slip ring bodies known in which the grinding rings are connected to the hub by casting resin. In this design, however, there are manufacturing difficulties that can be attributed to the strong shrinkage of the cast resin.

The invention overcomes these difficulties. According to the invention, the support rings shrunk onto the hub and the slip rings shrunk onto the support rings are embedded in cast resin on both sides.

The invention will be explained in more detail using the embodiment shown in the drawing who the. It shows a slip ring body in longitudinal section.

The support rings 3 made of steel are shrunk onto the hub 1 with the interposition of insulation 2. The slip rings 4 made of rustproof material are in turn shrunk onto these. The slip rings 4 are wider than the support rings 3. The hollow spaces between the support rings are filled with casting resin 5, which at the same time forms the insulation 6 between the slip rings. The slip and support rings are covered by casting resin 7 on the two end faces of the slip ring body.

The production of the slip rings according to the invention is relatively cheap. Since the casting resin is only used for insulation and not as a connecting means, no difficulties can arise due to the strong shrinkage.
