An ihrem in.
Chain tensioner The invention relates to a Kettenspan ner for tensioning revolving chains with a tensioning wheel carried by a tensioning wheel holder, which can be pressed against the chain under the action of a spring arranged on the tensioning wheel holder, which is with its front end against the opposite to a stationary machine part sliding tension wheel holder and with your rear. The end is supported against the stationary machine part.
The novelty is according to the invention that the tensioning wheel holder is displaceable by a predetermined distance in an axially adjustable and lockable adjustment sleeve in the stationary machine part, on which the tensioning spring is supported with one end and the rear end opposite the tensioning wheel Tensioning wheel holder protrudes in the normal operating state beyond the rear end of the adjustment sleeve. In this design, the adjusting means and the display means are combined in one device. In addition, the chain tensioner is adjustable and re-adjustable.
Furthermore, the display of the chain tension is particularly clear because, during normal operation, the protruding end of the tensioning wheel holder can be easily recognized from a distance.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. It shows: Fig. 1 shows the chain tensioner together with the rotating chain tensioned by it, Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section through a first embodiment of a chain tensioner on a larger scale, Fig. 3 shows a section along the line 3-3 of the Fig. 2, Fig. 4 a longitudinal section through a second form of implementation of a chain tensioner.
In Fig. 1, the attachment of a Kettenspan ners is shown schematically, and it means 10 a first and 11 a second sprocket around which a chain 12 rotates. The chain tensioner itself is designated as a whole by 13 and is fastened in a stationary machine part 14.
In the first embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, the chain 20 to be tensioned is merely dash-dotted and the chain tensioning wheel 21 cooperating with this chain is only indicated by a partial circle.
The chain tensioner has a clamping bush 22 arranged in the stationary machine part 14; which has a flange 23 which is fastened to the machine part 14 with fastening screws 24. At 26, a clamping screw with two clamping sleeves can be seen, with the aid of which an adjusting sleeve 30 arranged in the clamping sleeve and displaceable in this can be clamped in the flange 23 in a known manner.
The adjusting sleeve 30 has a bore 31 on its rear part and a cap 32 is screwed onto its rear end, which has a central hole, the purpose of which will be discussed below. At its right end in. Fig. 2, the adjustment sleeve has a shoulder 33 on which a tension spring 34 is supported with its rear end, which is in Fig. 2 right, d. H.
front end is supported against a shoulder 35 of a fork piece 36 which forms part of the tensioning wheel carrier 37 on which this spring 34 is arranged. The fork piece is ver with the help of a pin 38 with a also part of the tensioning wheel carrier forming guide pin 39 connected and carries at its right end in Fig. 2 on an axis 40, the aforementioned tensioning wheel 21, which can rotate freely on this axis.
With a 42 fixed in the guide pin 39 stop pin is referred to, which can move with its two ends in a slot 44 of the adjusting sleeve, whereby the tensioning wheel holder is only displaceable by this so certain way in the adjusting sleeve.
In order to prevent the adjustment sleeve from rotating relative to the clamping sleeve, a wedge 45 is provided between the two, which is fastened in the adjustment sleeve and can move in a corresponding groove 46 of the clamping sleeve 22.
At the rear end of the guide pin, an indicator pin 47 is arranged, which extends through the aforementioned zen tral hole in the cap 32, and protrudes according to the position shown in Fig. 2 on the rear surface 48 of the cap a bit.
The mode of operation of the device is such that, for example, in the position according to FIG. 2, the desired pressure of the tension spring 34 is exerted on the chain 20, and in this position the indicator pin protrudes slightly beyond the surface 48. If the chain 20 is now elongated during operation, the tensioning spring 34 presses the entire tensioning wheel holder 37 with the tensioning wheel forwards, i.e. H. 2 to the right, so that the indicator pin is partially or completely
disappears completely in the cap 32 and shows the operator that the chain tension is no longer present.
In order to correctly adjust the chain tensioner again, the clamping sleeve 22 is loosened and the adjusting sleeve so far axially forward, d. H. according to FIG. 2 to the right, pushed until the indicator pin 47 protrudes a certain distance from the cap, whereupon it is tightened again.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the parts which are the same as in the first exemplary embodiment are denoted by the same numerals. In contrast to the first embodiment, the guide pin 50 is a little shorter here, and the display pin 51 is accordingly longer. In the bore 31 of the adjusting sleeve, a shock spring 54 is provided here, which is supported with its right part according to FIG. 4 against a spring plate 55 and with its left part according to FIG. 4 against the cap 32.
The above-mentioned display pin 51 penetrates the spring plate 55 and the shock spring 54 and protrudes in the normal state, d. H. at a certain set chain tension, similar Lich as in the embodiment of FIG. 2, a predetermined distance beyond the rear surface of the cap. In this position, the shoulder 59 of the guide pin lies approximately against the surface of the spring plate 55 on the right according to FIG. When bumps occur, the guide pin then presses the spring plate 55 to the left and presses the shock spring 54 together so that the bumps are dampened accordingly.
A position is shown in FIG. 4 which occurs when the chain tension has already slackened somewhat and the left end of the indicator pin is just disappearing into the cap 32. In this case, too, the impacts that occur are still properly absorbed, and the only difference is that the guide pin 50 still has to cover a short distance before it hits the spring plate.
