Device intended to limit the unwinding of a roller shutter The object of the invention is a device intended to limit the unwinding of a roller shutter, wound on a cylinder which can rotate on a fixed axis, such that, once the shutter unrolled, it becomes im possible to actuate its control in the direction of the unwinding, failing which one would damage said shutter or even its control.
This device comprises a locking finger resiliently urged against a stop integral with said fixed axis and held temporarily away from said stop by the pressure exerted, on a control member of said locking finger, by the flap wound on the cylinder.
It aims to achieve a device of this type which is easy to assemble and whose action occurs at a precise location in the course of the shutter.
To this end, the device according to the invention is remarkable in that the aforementioned stop is integral with a sleeve threaded on the fixed axis, while said device comprises means for making said sleeve integral with said axis.
In one embodiment, the means for securing the sleeve and the fixed axis are designed and arranged so that the sleeve can be given any desired angular position, with respect to the fixed axis, in view. to be able to determine with precision the point of action of the stop which limits the unwinding of the shutter.
The invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which follows and on examining the appended drawings which show, by way of non-limiting example, one embodiment of the invention.
In these drawings, FIG. 1 is a perspective view, with cutouts of a device for limiting the movement of a roller shutter. Fig. 2 is a side view showing the mechanism in the position which corresponds to the complete unwinding of the shutter.
Fig. 3 shows, on a larger scale, a detail of FIG. 2, and fig. 4 is a side view similar to that of FIG. 2, but in which the flap is partially raised.
The roller shutter 1 partially shown in the drawings is wound on a cylinder consisting of two curved blades 2 fixed to the cylindrical outer surface of barrels such as 3, in which springs intended to compensate for the weight of the shutter are housed. The barrels are mounted so as to be able to rotate on a fixed axis 4, the two ends of which are supported by the building, for example by means of fixing lugs (not shown). The end of the lower coil of each spring is attached to the fixed axle, while the end of its outer coil is attached to the barrel.
The upper end of the shutter is attached to the barrels, for example by tabs 5.
The device for limiting the unwinding of the shutter comprises a sleeve 6 threaded onto the shaft 4 and the cylindrical surface of which is provided with two stops 7 intended to be intercepted by a rusting worm finger 10. The sleeve 6 is provided, each with its ends, of a series of four holes 8, at 90 ° to each other, in which a pin 9 can be inserted which passes, at the same time, through a hole 11 made in the fixed axis 4.
The bush, with its two stops, is therefore made integral with the fixed axis.
The locking finger 10 can pivot on an axis 12 eccentric relative to the roller shutter winding ment and supported by two flanges 13, 14 which can turn freely on the fixed axis 4 and which are integral with the blades 2, thanks to bolts or rivets which pass through both said blades. and legs 15 which are integral with said flanges.
The locking finger 10 is urged to pivot in the direction which brings it against the sleeve 6, by a spring consisting of a steel wire wound on the axis 12 and which is supported by one of its ends , against said finger and, by its other end, against the internal face of one of the blades 2.
The locking finger 10 carries an extension 17 which is protruding relative to the cylindrical surface of the winding of the shutter, when the locking finger is in engagement with the stopper and which, conversely, when it is depressed by the shutter which winds on the cylinder releases the rusting worm finger from the stop.
The two stops 7 of the bush are, in this embodiment, at a distance of 13511, so that the angular position of the bush on the fixed axis 2 can be adjusted in such a way that the limitation can be obtained. the unwinding of the shutter to an eighth of a turn near the cylinder on which the shutter is wound.
In fig. 4, the partially rolled shutter can be seen, which maintains the extension 17 pressed inside the cylinder and, consequently, the locking finger 10 away from the stop-holder sleeve; we can therefore operate the shutter indifferently in one direction or the other.
If it is assumed, for example, that the shutter is lowered when the last turn of the latter begins to unwind, it leaves the extension 17 and the finger 10 pivots against the socket on the cylindrical surface of which it slides, to soon brace itself on the first stop 7 which is in its path. The device has been adjusted so that, at this precise moment, the shutter is resting on the ground.
From this position, the shutter can be raised because the stop 7 does not prevent the movement from starting in this direction, and, as soon as the first turn of the shutter comes into contact with the extension 17, it push it in and release the finger 10 from the stop 7. On the other hand, from the same closed position of the shutter, it will be impossible to complete the unwinding since the locking finger in contact with the fixed stop there. will oppose; there is therefore no risk of damaging the upper part of the shutter and jamming the entire mechanism.
