The present invention relates to a valve comprising a shutter valve fixed to one end of a sliding rod subjected to a return spring tending to apply this valve to a seat of the valve body, a pusher attached to the valve. other end of this rod allowing the user to open the valve by moving the rod axially, against the spring, so as to move the valve away from its seat, means enabling this rod to be blocked in a determined axial position for which the valve is open, characterized in that these means comprise at least two fixed stop members, one,
to the valve body and, the other, to the pous evening and arranged so as to engage one on the other, under the action of the spring, when the rod is driven into said determined axial position and they are placed opposite each other by angular displacement of at least one of them.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the valve which is the subject of the present invention.
fig. 1 is a vertical section in the closed position; fig. 2 is a similar section in the open position; fig. 3 is a partial plan view of the valve in the formed position; fig. 4 a view similar to that of FIG. 3 in the open and locked position of the valve.
Fig. 5 is a detail view of the valve pusher according to the invention.
The valve shown comprises a bent tubular body 1 intended to be fixed by its threaded end 2 on an opening of a barrel, not shown, the flow rate of which must be controlled. This opening is obviously also threaded and sealing is obtained by tightening an elastic seal, not shown, arranged between the thread 2 of the valve and a support collar 4 projecting at the foot of a hexagonal facet 3 of the valve body, faceting intended to act as a support for an adjustable wrench, for example when fixing the valve to the foot.
The body 1 carries, in the axis of the threaded part 2, a boss 5 on the upper part of which protrudes a rectangular notch 6 through which a circular opening 7 passes.
The left end 5a of the boss 5 is cylindrical and delimits with the base 5c a bearing surface 5b forming a support for a spring 8 engaged at its other end in an annular groove 9a which has the bottom of a pous evening 9.
This pusher is fixed to the left end of a rod 10 slidably mounted in the tubular passage 5d hollow in the boss 5 and extending axially inside the horizontal part of the body 1.
On the right end of the rod 10 is driven out a discoid part 10a, the edge of which is hollowed out by a groove in which is disposed an annular seal 11 which has a diameter slightly greater than that of the mouth of the body 1, cylindrical in la and frustoconical in lb. The length of the rod 10 is such that, when the spring is relaxed to the maximum (FIG. 1), the seal 11 bears on the frustoconical face lb of the mouthpiece and thus ensures the tightness of the valve.
The valve is opened by exerting on the pusher 9 a thrust directed towards the threaded end 2 of sufficient intensity to compress the spring 8. This pusher 9 is in fact formed by a cap in the side wall of which is cut. a substantially rectangular window 9b (fig. 3) and a slot 9c communicating with this window and extending to the right edge of the pusher 9. The width of this slot is slightly greater than the thickness of the notch 6.
The length of the window 9b is greater than that of the notch 6 and its width is substantially equal to twice the thickness of this plane. The window 9b and the slot 9c delimit a stopper 9d intended to engage its left face 9e, slightly rounded, on the notch 6 secured to the body of the valve 1.
The pusher 9 is in fact on the body so that, when the spring 8 is in its most relaxed position (fig. 1), the slot 9c is disposed in the extension of the notch 6 so that, by moving this pusher to the right against the spring 8 and in order to open the valve (fig. 2), the notch 6 is first engaged between the edges of this slot 9c then in the window 9b.
As soon as the pusher 9 abuts on the notch 6 via the left edge of the window 9b, it suffices to move this pusher angularly to bring it into the position shown in FIG. 4 and the valve is then blocked in the open position (fig. 2).
The pusher cannot in fact return to its rest position of FIG. 1 since it is prevented from doing so by the notch 6 on the right face of which the rounded face 9e of the stopper 9d rests.
The valve described can only be closed by releasing the notch 9d which is obtained by returning the pusher 9 to the angular position of FIG. 3, the spring 8 then taking care to move this pusher and the rod 10 associated with it back into the closed position.
Axial movement of the plunger in the opening position of the valve is possible because the lower part of its surface has a semi-elliptical cutout 9f (fig. 5) which prevents the plunger from abutting against the body of the valve. , in particular its angled part.
