Description
Dispositif protecteur pour porte de véhicule automobile La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif protecteur pour porte de véhicule automobile, per mettant, à condition d'être fixé à l'extérieur de cette porte, sur son bord, côté poignée, dans la région qui présente la saillie la plus grande vers l'extérieur, d'éviter que cette porte, ouverte brusquement et sans retenue, ne risque d'être éraflée ou autrement dété riorée par son contact brutal soit avec la porte d'un autre véhicule qui est protégée du même coup, soit contre un mur ou toute autre surface rigide d'arrêt.
Ce dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un support rigide, des moyens pour le fixer sur la porte à protéger et une masse amortisseuse en une matière élastiquement déformable, fixée en saillie sur ce support.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple non limitatif, une forme d'exécution particulière du dispositif objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue de face en place sur le bord d'une porte de véhicule automobile.
La fig. 2 en est une vue en plan correspondante. La fig. 3 en est une coupe transversale, suivant la ligne 3-3 de la fig. 1.
La fig. 4 en est une vue de la face arrière.
La fig. 5 est une vue en perspective montrant l'utilisation du dispositif pour protéger la porte en fin d'une ouverture brutale, non retenue.
Le dispositif protecteur représenté, destiné à être fixé sur le bord de la tôle externe a de la porte P d'un véhicule automobile, comporte un support mé tallique A constitué par une pièce découpée em boutie, repliée de manière à former un U dont l'aile externe 1 est repoussée vers l'avant en son centre en 2 et est rigidifiée par un rebord 3, cependant que l'aile arrière 4 moins large est échancrée en son milieu en 5 pour la raison précisée plus loin.
Cette aile 4 est percée de deux trous filetés 6 dans chacun desquels est vissée une vis de serrage 7 permettant de bloquer le support A sur le bord a de la porte P après avoir chevauché ce bord avec ce support qui, avec ses vis., forme donc une sorte de pince.
Sur la face avant de l'aile 1 du support A est montée une masse B amortisseuse, en un matériau élastiquement déformable, tel que le caoutchouc na turel ou synthétique, leurs dérivés ou même certaines matières synthétiques, suffisamment plastifiées.
La masse B est fixée sur le support A par un rivet 8, dont l'extrémité arrière est accessible pour la rivure à travers l'échancrure 5 de l'aile arrière tandis que l'extrémité avant du rivet l'est dans le même but, à travers un trou 9, ménagé dans ladite masse B.
On notera que la surface arrière de la masse B est taillée en gradins puisqu'elle comporte, à partir d'une petite portion 10 la plus en arrière, une portion 11 déjà légèrement en retrait vers l'avant et avec laquelle affleure le bord arrière du rebord 3 de l'aile 1 du support A, puis une troisième portion 12 encore plus en retrait et formant un logement en forme de feuillure pour ladite aile 1 du support A. Grâce à cette feuillure dont le bord 13 est à peu près recti ligne, la masse B ne peut pas tourner autour de l'axe du rivet par rapport au support A.
Enfin la surface externe 14 de la masse B peut avoir une forme quelconque, de préférence aérody namique telle que celle représentée par exemple.
La fixation amovible du dispositif est évidente à l'examen du dessin. Le support A chevauche le bord de la paroi externe a de la porte P, un joint 15 en feutre, carton, matière plastique ou autre réta blissant une surface continue d'appui avec la portion 10 de la surface arrière de la masse B en remplis- saut l'espace laissé libre derrière la portion 11 de cette surface et derrière l'aile 1 du support. Le ser rage des deux vis 7 suffit à assujettir le dispositif.
A la condition que celui-ci soit disposé en D (fig. 5) dans la région la plus saillante de la porte P, malgré ses faibles dimensions, il fait plus saillie vers l'extérieur que la poignée de porte Q et, dans ces conditions, si la porte P est ouverte brusque ment et sans retenue, c'est ce dispositif qui vient rencontrer le premier par sa masse élastiquement déformable toute surface S de butée, évitant ainsi toute éraflure ou autre détérioration de la porte ainsi que de cette surface S.
On notera que la saillie maximum de la masse B, par rapport à la surface externe de la porte, n'est que de l'ordre de deux à trois centimètres, de telle sorte qu'en raison du bombé du profil en plan des portes des véhicules actuels, le dispositif, lorsque la porte est fermée, se trouve en retrait par rapport au maître couple maximum du véhicule et ne constitue donc pas une saillie dangereuse pour un piéton ou pour un autre véhicule frôlé par la porte munie du dispositif.
La masse amortisseuse B pourrait être fixée au support A par vulcanisation et ou en noyant une partie de ce support dans cette masse.
Le support pourrait constituer une pince élastique à serrage automatique sur la porte, ou encore être pourvu d'une ventouse de fixation.
Protective device for a motor vehicle door The present invention relates to a protective device for a motor vehicle door, allowing, provided it is attached to the outside of this door, on its edge, handle side, in the region which has the largest projection outwards, to prevent this door, opened suddenly and without restraint, from being scratched or otherwise damaged by its sudden contact either with the door of another vehicle which is protected at the same time, either against a wall or any other rigid stop surface.
This device is characterized in that it comprises a rigid support, means for fixing it on the door to be protected and a damping mass in an elastically deformable material, fixed projecting on this support.
The appended drawing represents, by way of nonlimiting example, a particular embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a front view thereof in place on the edge of a motor vehicle door.
Fig. 2 is a corresponding plan view. Fig. 3 is a cross section, taken along line 3-3 of FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 is a view of the rear face thereof.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view showing the use of the device to protect the door at the end of a sudden opening, not retained.
The protective device shown, intended to be fixed to the edge of the outer sheet a of the door P of a motor vehicle, comprises a metal support A consisting of a cut-out part, folded over so as to form a U of which the 'outer wing 1 is pushed forward in its center at 2 and is stiffened by a flange 3, while the narrower rear wing 4 is notched in its middle at 5 for the reason specified below.
This wing 4 is pierced with two threaded holes 6 in each of which is screwed a tightening screw 7 making it possible to block the support A on the edge a of the door P after having overlapped this edge with this support which, with its screws, forms. therefore a kind of clamp.
On the front face of the wing 1 of the support A is mounted a damping mass B, made of an elastically deformable material, such as natural or synthetic rubber, their derivatives or even certain synthetic materials, sufficiently plasticized.
The mass B is fixed on the support A by a rivet 8, the rear end of which is accessible for riveting through the notch 5 of the rear fender while the front end of the rivet is for the same purpose , through a hole 9, made in said mass B.
It will be noted that the rear surface of the mass B is cut in steps since it comprises, from a small portion 10 at the rear, a portion 11 already slightly set back towards the front and with which the rear edge is flush. of the flange 3 of the flange 1 of the support A, then a third portion 12 even further back and forming a housing in the form of a rebate for said wing 1 of the support A. Thanks to this rebate, the edge 13 of which is roughly recti line, mass B cannot rotate around the axis of the rivet relative to support A.
Finally, the external surface 14 of the mass B can have any shape, preferably aerodynamic, such as that shown for example.
The removable attachment of the device is evident on examination of the drawing. The support A overlaps the edge of the outer wall a of the door P, a gasket 15 of felt, cardboard, plastic or other material restoring a continuous bearing surface with the portion 10 of the rear surface of the mass B filled with - skip the space left free behind portion 11 of this surface and behind wing 1 of the support. The tightening of the two screws 7 is sufficient to secure the device.
On condition that this is arranged in D (fig. 5) in the most projecting region of the door P, despite its small dimensions, it protrudes more outward than the door handle Q and, in these conditions, if the door P is opened suddenly and without restraint, it is this device which is the first to encounter, by its elastically deformable mass, any stop surface S, thus avoiding any scratching or other deterioration of the door as well as of this surface S.
It will be noted that the maximum projection of the mass B, relative to the external surface of the door, is only of the order of two to three centimeters, so that due to the curvature of the profile in plan of the doors current vehicles, the device, when the door is closed, is set back relative to the maximum master torque of the vehicle and therefore does not constitute a dangerous projection for a pedestrian or for another vehicle grazed by the door provided with the device.
The damping mass B could be fixed to the support A by vulcanization and / or by embedding a part of this support in this mass.
The support could constitute an elastic clamp with automatic clamping on the door, or even be provided with a fixing suction cup.
