Description

Inflatable Ball Made of Rubber or Plastic The invention relates to an inflatable ball made of rubber or plastic, with a non-return valve for the air to be injected.

The ball according to the invention is characterized by a pressed, thin-walled, perforated sack which protrudes into the interior of the ball and has the valve to prevent the air blown into the ball from escaping.

The drawing illustrates three exemplary embodiments of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows the valve with a ball, FIG. 2 shows the valve with a partition and FIG. 3 shows a valve with a housing and spring-loaded Sphere.

The thin-walled sack 2 serving as a valve or receiving it is pressed onto the unstiff ball wall 1 made of plastic or rubber and has air passage holes 3 at its end protruding into the interior of the ball . A ball 5 is inserted from the outside through the central opening. To inflate the ball, an air pump is inserted into the opening 7 in the wall. When pumping in, the airbag expands in the area of the ball 5 so that it can enter the ball through the holes 3 .

The ball 5 prevents the return path because the air pressure inside the ball is not sufficient to stretch the airbag.

A partition 6 according to FIG. 2 inserted into the sack prevents the air blown into the inside of the ball from escaping by the fact that the internal pressure compresses the sack (see dashed lines in FIG. 2) and thus covers the holes .

The bag 2 is so thin in its perforated part that the internal pressure of the ball is sufficient to cause the opposing walls to be compressed. The partition 6 can also be dispensed with under certain circumstances and when the holes are offset from one another.

In FIG. 3, a valve housing 8 is inserted from the outside into the sack 2, the upper opening 11 of which is penetrated by the ball 5, which is under the action of a spring 9 is locked. The holes 3 in the airbag correspond to the openings 12 in the valve housing, which open into the space of the valve housing, which is closer to the center of the ball than the ball 5. Die The end wall of the housing serves as a ball seat 10 and is rounded off accordingly at this point.

This locking means has the advantage that the locking ball can be lifted from its seat by inserting a wire, so that the air escapes from the inside of the ball. The ball is only under pressure while it is needed. When not in use, it is emptied and thus spared.
