Device for regulating the flow rate of a centrifugal fan According to previous proposals, the flow rate of a centrifugal fan is controlled by changing the speed, by adjusting the guide or rotating blades, by throttle valves on the suction or pressure side, by slotted valves at the inlet or outlet of the impeller, by means of a hollow cylinder-shaped slide in the inlet opening or by adjustable round plates inside the impeller.
Furthermore, a change in the conveyed amount through blow-off or circulation control by means of annular or / and annular gap slides arranged concentrically to the fan shaft on the drive or suction side of the fan is known. The arrangement of adjustable circular disks in front of the fan inlet is also known.
The speed control and the blade adjustment are only economically viable for larger units because of their acquisition costs. The costs for throttle valves are also relatively high. The slide gate valves, which are often used for fans of lower power, to partially pressurize the impellers, have the disadvantage that when the flow rate is throttled, the air no longer flows through the entire cross-section of the impeller, so that the efficiency of the fan worsens with increasing throttling due to eddies becomes. In addition, vibrations occur.
The rotating, adjustable regulating discs inside the impeller are more prone to failure than stationary regulating organs, which is why this type of regulation has not been generally introduced.
The blow-off or circulation control by means of annular and annular gap slides arranged concentrically to the fan shaft on the pressure side of the fan have the disadvantage that the power requirement on the fan shaft remains constant even with decreasing funding in the pipeline network, while the control with adjustable Circular disk in front of the fan inlet is particularly prone to loss when throttling and it gives poor partial load efficiencies.
The invention is based on a Regelvorrich device for fans with adjustable in front of the suction opening in the axial direction, formed as a circular disk throttle plate and is intended to solve the problem of avoiding the disadvantages of the known control devices.
The invention consists in that on the side of the throttle plate facing the fan inlet, guide vane stubs are arranged in such a way that the amount of air sucked in is given a swirl in the direction of rotation.
In the drawing, an embodiment of a device for regulating the delivery rate of a centrifugal fan according to the invention by means of a pre-swirl throttle plate is shown schematically.
Fig. 1 shows a section through the centrifugal fan with the upstream swirl throttle plate. Fig. 2 shows the view of the inside of the swirl throttle plate with the attached Schaufelstum meln.
The impeller 1 of the centrifugal fan 2 sucks in the air through the continuously curved inlet 3. Before this is a round, z. B. as a flat circular disc or designed as a conical disc throttle plate 4 with aerodynamically rounded edge bead 5 and guided on guide pins 6 relative to the inlet 3 axially displaceable.
Instead, the plate 4 can be guided on the extended fan shaft and prevented from rotating by, for example, a guide pin guided in the edge part of the plate.
On the side of the throttle plate 4 facing the fan, guide vane stubs 7, inclined to the radii, are provided on the throttle plate. The guide vane stubs can be straight or curved.
The guide vane stubs can also be arranged displaceably on the swirl throttle plate, so that when they are placed on the edge bead of the inlet they enter the throttle plate and their effective length is reduced.
To regulate the flow rate, the distance between the throttle plate 4 and the intake port on the A run 3 of the fan is adjustable. The one and fixed position of the plate 4 on the respective conveying amount corresponding distance can be done by hand or with automatic control by automatically ge controlled adjustment devices, eg. B. electric or pneumatic servomotors take place.
If the swirl throttle plate protrudes far from the intake opening, the fan sucks in the air in practically unthrottled form and without swirl. If the swirl throttle plate approaches the suction opening of the fan, the air passage is throttled more and more. At the same time, the stub blades give some of the inflowing air a swirl when it enters the fan. The closer the swirl throttle plate is to the intake opening, the greater the proportion of air that is subject to the swirl.
The air receives the strongest throttling and the strongest pre-swirl as soon as the blade stubs of the throttle plate rest on the edge of the inlet. A throttling down to a delivery rate of zero can also be provided if the guide vane stubs, as stated above, are arranged on the throttle plate so as to be displaceable in the axial direction. Due to the increasing pre-swirl of the air with increasing throttling of the flow rate, the fan works with a relatively good degree of efficiency even in the strongly throttled state. On the one hand, this improves the part-load behavior of the fan and, on the other hand, it avoids the complex, costly and failure-prone devices.
