austretenden Mediums bestimmen.
Adjustable guide vane for rotating fans. In general, guiding shells are used with rotating blowers when an um- @vandlun; the speed in pressure at the outlet of an impeller is not possible by means of a spiral casing.
The purpose of the guide vanes is to prevent the conveyed medium from rotating around the impeller. and to force the medium to continue to flow in the same direction as when exiting the runner rail, with a steady increase in the cross-section, so that at constant total pressure, loss-free friction work assumed, a reduction in the velocity pressure and an increase in the static pressure occurs. Until now
known adjustable guide vanes, a change in the direction of rotation of the impeller is not permitted, which is normally the case with fans, turbo blowers and. -Compressors also out of the question. The situation is different with electric motors, which are equipped with their own paddle wheel for conveying cooling air, etc.; a change in the direction of rotation is very often necessary here. The blade wheel is designed for this reason with radial blades.
Guide vanes are not attached to such engines, so that a very poor implementation of the exiting speed is the result, which of course has an unfavorable influence on the flow rate and accordingly the efficiency. As a result, the use of larger shovels or Impellers necessary.
The present invention now wants to take advantage of the favorable effect of the guide vanes in motors with a variable direction of rotation. For this purpose, the guide vane according to the invention is set up in such a way that it moves into the correct position when the direction of rotation of the impeller changes.
The drawing shows schematically an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. The guide vanes 1 of the fan shown are arranged to be rotatable about axes 2 and between cams 6.
The fixation of the blade ends is not absolutely necessary for achieving the purpose of the invention, but has the advantage that the guide blades are prevented from closing.
With a direction of rotation of the impeller 3 according to arrow -1, the guide vane will adjust itself approximately after 1h (Fig.?), And 7w-, ir under the influence of the medium flowing out in the direction of arrow 8b.
If the direction of rotation of the Saufra: des according to arrow 5 is reversed, the outflowing medium will approximately assume the direction of arrow 8a,
whereby a pressure is exerted on the guide vane and the vane is folded over after 1 <i. Of course, the vane can also be brought into a position between the two positions 1b and 1 a by the medium flowing out.
The guide vanes 1 are kept in equilibrium by the outflowing medium and form around the impeller, just as in the case of a stationary guide vane ring, a number of guide channels which have an enlarged cross section towards the outside.
whereby the entering speed of the medium is converted into pressure and a rotation of the medium is effectively prevented.
Lm to prevent any eddy currents of the escaping medium from moving the guide vanes inchwingun @@ en. the cams U could be attached in such a way that, with normal flow rates, the guide vanes are attached to these fixings:
ii are pressed down and come to rest. The exact position of the axis runs. either through experiments or by recording the velocity diagram at the exit and the direction to be determined from it
determine the escaping medium.
