   Durch die Erfindung soll eine stosslose Umsetzung hoher Anstrittsgoschwindigkoiton von Flüssigkeiten, Gasen oder Dämpfen aus einzelnen oder mehrfach gekuppelten Laufrädern in Druck erzielt werden. 



   Die absoiute Austrittsgeschwindigkeit e (Fig. 2) schliesst mit der Tangonte an den äusseren Schaufelkreis bei A einen Winkel   a   ein. Bei   Vergrösserung   der Seitenwände über

   Die allmähliche Erweiterung des Austrittsquerschnittes wirkt also   ähnlich,   als wenn zwischen   A   und B feststehende Leitschaufeln eingebaut wären ; die absolute Austritts-

   Um diesen Nachteil zu vermeiden, werden die Ränder der Seitenwände des Rades derart ausgebildet, dass sie den Austrittsquerschnitt zunächst unmittelbar an   den äusseren   Schaufelenden bei d beträchtlich verengen, um ihn erst gegen den Austrittsrand bei D auf das nötige Mass divergierend zu erweitern (Fig. 1), wodurch sich die absolute Austrittsgeschwindigkeit zwischen A und B vollkommen gleichmässig verzögert.
