Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 Timepiece The object of the present invention is a timepiece the movement of which is mounted in a casing frame. It is characterized by the fact that this frame has a shoulder (6) which protrudes over the periphery of the movement and bears a time scale, the indicating device being constituted by two discs with markers, superimposed and rotating within this scale, the upper disc, which indicates the minutes, located at the level of the shoulder, while the other disc, which indicates the hours, is opaque, and is placed directly above the plate which it hides.

  The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention applied to a wristwatch of round shape.

  Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof, and FIG. 2, a section on a larger scale through II-II of FIG. 1.

  In this drawing, 1 is the middle-bezel of the case on which the back 2 and the crystal 3 are fixed. The index 4 denotes a casing frame in which the movement 5 is placed; on its inner face, this frame has a shoulder 6. The indicator device comprises a graduation 7 arranged on the upper face of the frame and two rotating discs, one of which 8 indicates the minutes and the other 9 the hours. These two discs rotate inside the graduation, the first at the height of the shoulder 6 and the other below it.

  The first disc 8 is opaque and its periphery 8a is provided with a triangle mark 8b. The second disc 9 is opaque, it is placed directly above the plate 10 which it hides completely; its periphery 9a exceeds that 8a of disc 8 and has a sign 9b outside the latter, as it extends below the shoulder 6, it eliminates any gap between the movement and the case.

  The two discs 8 and 9 occupy in height the place of the usual hands and as long as there is no dial plate attached to the plate, we gain in height the thickness of this plate and the clearance between the plate and platinum, which are of the order of 4 to 5 tenths of a millimeter.
