Description
Method for adapting the recording speed of a camera to that of a sound device. The invention relates to a method for adapting the recording speed of a camera to that of a sound device.
It is known to connect a pulse generator with the camera and to record the pulses sent by this on the sound carrier of the sound device. During playback, the pulses picked up from the sound carrier control the Bildwer fer. Since the recording camera can fluctuate noticeably in speed, especially if it is driven by a spring motor, the viewer often has to change its speed during playback. This endangers the stability of the regulation. In addition, a special amplifier for the recorded pulses is necessary for such a playback device.
These disadvantages are eliminated according to the invention because a current dependent on the relative position of two interrupters assigned to one of the two devices controls an electrically operated brake which is attached to a shaft connected to the drive of the camera.
In this way, the speed of the camera is adjusted to the speed of the tape recorder, which always runs at the same speed, using simple, reliable means. The camera only needs to be adjusted in such a way that it runs unbraked and when opened a little faster than with the intended number of image changes. The synchronizing device then brakes it to this number of changes and keeps it running quickly and synchronously with the sound device.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows a first and FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment.
A sound device 1 contains in the usual way a take-up plate 2, a take-off plate 3 and a tape 4 running between them. The latter is conveyed by a drive roller 5 which is driven by the motor of the sound device (not shown).
In the tape run, a roller 6 is switched on, which is wrapped by the tape and is taken from him. The audio heads of the device are accommodated in a housing 7.
The roller 6 sits on a shaft 8 which carries a sliding track 9 of a breaker. The grinding track is provided with six contact surfaces 10, between which there are non-conductive surface pieces of equal size. The contact surfaces 10 are connected to a slip ring 11 which is also fastened on the shaft 8 be. A brush 12, which is connected to one pole of a direct current source 13, slides on it.
Two contacts 14 and 15 slide on the sliding track 9. They are attached in such a way that one contact touches one of the contact surfaces 10 when the other hits a non-conductive gap. Lines 16 and 17 lead from contacts 14 and 15 to contacts 18 and 19, which are resiliently accommodated in a film camera 20.
This film camera is driven by a spring motor 21. It rotates a gripper shaft 24 via gears 22, 23, from which the drive for a regulator shaft 27 is derived via gears 25, 26.
A cam 28 is seated on the gripper shaft, against which a gripper arm 29 is pressed with the aid of a spring 30. The free end of the gripper arm carries a gripper tip 31 which engages in the perforation of a film (not shown) and thereby conveys it. The gripper arm 29 is mounted on a bolt 32.
Another cam disk 33 sits on the gripper shaft 24. The free end of a pawl 34 rests resiliently on its circumference. About half of the cam disk 33 has a larger diameter than the other half. When the pawl 34 slides on the piece of smaller diameter, a contact piece 35 attached to it contacts the contact 19; if it slides on the part of the cam 33 with a larger diameter, the contact piece touches the contact 18.
The contacts 18 and 19 are so alternately and each during half a rotation of the gripper shaft with the pawl 34 verbun the, they act together with the parts 33 and 34 as an interrupter.
On the controller shaft 27 of the camera, apart from a controller 36, a disk 37 made of electrically conductive material is attached. It rotates between the poles of an electromagnet formed from a coil 38 and a C-shaped core 39. The controller 36 is set so that the camera runs at eighteen images per second when the spring motor 21 is freshly wound and finally drops to sixteen images per second when the spring mechanism has run down.
The pawl 34 is connected to one end 41 of the coil 38 via a line 40. At the other end 42 of the coil, a line 43 is connected, which leads to the other pole of the direct current source 13 via a resistor 44 and a switch 45. The ends 41 and 42 of the coil are connected to one another via a capacitor 46.
The switch 45 is mechanically connected to a scarf ter 47 and a shutter button 48 of the camera. A line 49 leads from the sound device 1 to the switch 47; a line 50 leads from there back to the sound device. If this cable run is closed, the sound device is switched on.
The release button 48 influences the transmission of the film camera in a manner known per se. If it is pressed, the shafts 24 and 27 start moving and the gripper 29 conveys film through the camera window, not shown. An equally if not shown aperture, which is attached to the gripper shaft 24, ensures its correct exposure device.
At the same time as the camera, the sound device 1 has been switched on via the switch 47. In known manner, the sound is recorded on tape 4. The sound device runs at almost exactly the same speed. With the help of the tape 4 it also rotates the slideway 9. It makes one revolution when the cam makes six rotations. In each case one of the contacts 14 or 15 receives via the brush 12, which represents a common connection point, and the contact surfaces 10 voltage from the power source 13; one of the contacts 18 or 19 is correspondingly under tension.
If both devices run exactly synchronously and, for example, the pawl 34 touches the energized contact 18 or 19, a continuous current flows from the power source 13 via the brush 12, the contact surfaces 10, one of the lines 16 or 17, one Contact piece 35 representing common connection point and the line 40 through the coil 38 and via the line 43 back to the power source. The coil 38 generates a magnetic flux in the armature 39, and an eddy current is generated in the disc 37, which brakes it and thus the regulator shaft 27. This can go so far until the gripper shaft 24 rotates offset by 180 compared to the previous position.
The pawl 34 then always touches that of the contacts 18, 19 which is not carrying any voltage, and no current flows through the coil 38. The shaft 37 is no longer braked ge.
This state is achieved when the spring mechanism does not deliver a speed greater than sixteen images per second anyway. At all other moments, intermediate layers of the shaft 24 are established, in which the coil 38 receives current for a certain fraction of the time as it is required to brake the camera to the prescribed speed. As soon as the camera tries to deviate from this speed, the current changes accordingly, so that the braking effect is increased or decreased. In this way, the camera 20 runs at exactly the same speed as the sound device 1.
The capacitor 46 and the resistor 44 serve to dampen current fluctuations and to suppress interference in the device.
In the embodiment according to F.ig. 2, the sound device is the same as in the previous example; In particular, it contains the sliding track 9 with the contacts 10, the sliding ring 11 and the brush 12. The contacts 14 and 15 are connected via the lines 16 and 17 with the con tacts 18 and 19 of the camera; the pawl 34, whose free end slides on the cam disk 33, cooperates with these. The disc 37 is associated with a brake shoe 51 in this embodiment, which at the end of a ;. Axis 52 rotatable armature 53 is seated. The armature belongs to an electromagnet, which consists of a coil 54 and a core 55.
The ends of the coil 54 are connected to a winding 61 of a transformer via lines 56 and 57, a full wave rectifier 58 and lines 59 and 60. Whose other winding 62 is on one side in connection with the pawl 34 and on the other via a resistor 63 with the switch 45 and one pole of an alternating current source 46 a related party. The brush 12 is connected to the other pole of the power source. With the ends of the winding 62, the two sides of a capacitor 64 are connected.
If both devices are put into operation by triggering the camera and closing the switches 45 and 47, a current flows through the winding 62 which corresponds to the current through the coil 38 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. About the other winding 61 of the transformer and the rectifier 58, the coil 54 is supplied with a correspond to the current; depending on the strength of this current, it attracts the armature 53 more or less, so it presses the brake shoe 51 more or less against the disc 37 and thereby in turn brakes the camera so that it always runs synchronously with the sound device.
The discs 33 and 37 can instead be attached to the shafts 24 and 27 on other shafts of the camera gearbox or, for example, directly on the spring mechanism 17. The shape of the cam 33, d. H. the frequency of movement of the pawl 34 can be changed depending on the speed of the shaft used.
