B. folgende Ver bindungen:
EMI0001.0041
EMI0002.0001

Process for dyeing or printing textile materials made of polyesters or synthetic polyamides with anthraquinone dyes It has been found that textile materials made of polyesters or synthetic polyamides can be used in an excellent manner can be colored or printed if the dye is derived from 1,2-di-aminoanthraquinone of the formula
EMI0001.0007
used in which R means an aromatic radical.
EMI0001.0009
The aromatic radical consists of a carbocyclic radical, such as a phenyl or naphthyl radical, which still has substituents such as halogen atoms or hydroxy, amino, alkyl, alkoxy, carboalkoxy, acyl, carboxy, CHi CO-O-, mercapto-,
May have alkyl mercapto or nitro groups. The remainder R can e.g. B. have the following meanings: phenyl, 4-, 3- or 2-methylphenyl, 4-, 3- or 2-methoxyphenyl, 4-chlorophenyl, 2,4-dichlorophenyl, 2-methoxy-3-methylphenyl, 2-methoxy 4-methylphenyl, 2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl, 4-aminophenyl, 4-nitrophenyl, 3-hydroxyphenyl,
4-methyl mercaptophenyl and naphthyl- (1). Dyes of the formula I are, for. B. the following connections:
EMI0001.0041
EMI0002.0001
Such dyes can e.g.
B. obtained who if you 1,2-diaminoanthraquinone with acids of the formula R-COOH or the corresponding acid halides, aldehydes, orthoesters or acetals or with compounds of the formula R-CH (Hal) _) or RC (Hal), 3 converts, where in these formulas Hal is a halogen atom and R has the meaning given above.
For example, the dye of the formula is obtained
EMI0002.0016
by reacting 1,2-diaminoanthraquinones with p-methoxybenzoyl chloride at an elevated temperature in nitrobenzene.
Textile materials made from polyesters or synthetic polyamides are, for example, fibers, threads, flakes, woven fabrics and knitted fabrics. As polyester z. B. from terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol or a-dimethylolcyclohexane and as synthetic poly amides z. B. called the products available from F-caprolactam or from hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid.
For dyeing, it is advantageous to use dye liquors which advantageously contain the dyes in finely divided form. With these liquors you can textile well made of polyesters, z. B. at temperatures between 95 to 100 C, under normal pressure or at temperatures above 100'C by the HT process or the thermosol process. If you want to get strong colors at temperatures around 100 C, it is advisable to
add dye accelerator, so-called KCarrier, to the dye liquor. Synthetic polyamides are expediently dyed in the presence of small amounts of a dyeing accelerator obtainable by reacting 1 mol of castor oil with 40 mol of ethylene oxide.
For printing textiles made from pile and synthetic polyamides, printing pastes are used which, in addition to the usual thickeners and printing auxiliaries, contain the dyes mentioned in finely divided form. Dyeing accelerators are also expediently added to the printing pastes. After printing, the item is steamed and finished as usual.
The dyeings or prints obtainable with the process according to the invention are distinguished by good washing, light, rubbing and thermal fastness properties.
Dyes that are used according to the method of the invention are known from German Patent No. 238 981. In the German patent publication No. 940832, compounds of the above formula I which contain an alkyl radical instead of R are recommended as intermediates for the preparation of dyes.
However, the two German patents Nos. 238 981 and 940 832 contain no reference to the suitability of the dyes to be used by the process according to the invention for dyeing or printing structures made of polyesters or synthetic poly amides.
The imidazole dyes of the anthraquinone series known from the French patent specification number 1232 713 are surpassed by the dyes to be used according to the invention by a considerably higher color strength of the dyeings available on polyamide.
The parts given in the examples are parts by weight.
Example I 100 parts of polyethylene glycol terephthalate fabric are in a dye bath; which consists of 5000 parts of water, 5 parts of a compound obtainable by reaction of 1 mole of sperm oil alcohol with 80 moles of ethylene oxide and the following sulfonation, and 1 part of a finely divided dye indicated in the table below,
Treated at 135 ° C. for 90 minutes. Strong dyeings with good to very good fastness properties and the nuances indicated in the table are obtained.
