Device for machine packaging of objects, in particular for the food and luxury food industry
The invention relates to a device for machine packaging of objects, in particular from the food and luxury goods industry.
Devices for packaging chocolates are known in which the wrapping material is placed smoothly around the object.
It has also been proposed to crease the wrapping material on the surface of the object, the mirror, that is to say to gather it together in order to give the objects a different, in particular more voluminous, appearance. Rosettes or ribs and folds of all kinds can be applied to the surface of the object.
In the known methods of packaging the objects in this way, the objects were wrapped and the excess material was crumpled by hand. This working method is unsanitary and requires a lot of working time.
It has also been proposed to use a suction device to form a cavity between the wrapping material and the object and to crease the excess material due to the shape of the suction device.
With the device according to the invention, manual labor should be dispensed with. On the other hand, the creasing can take place in a purely mechanical way without using suction.
The device according to the invention is characterized by a cavity former which is intended to protrude beyond the object to be packaged and thereby keep the wrapping material at a distance from the relevant surface side of the object during the first packaging processes; furthermore by a creasing device and by lateral support members for holding the object and the wrapping material placed over the cavity former and the object until the further packaging operations, namely the removal of the cavity former, the wrapping of the still open sides of the wrapping material and the creasing of the excess wrapping material takes place are.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the device according to the invention and objects packed therewith are shown schematically. Show it:
1 shows a fully packaged object in a perspective view,
2 shows a cross section through the object,
3 shows a longitudinal section through the device for forming the cavity,
FIG. 4 shows a cross section through FIG. 3,
5 shows, in section, the object with the wrapping material which is partially folded at the end faces,
FIG. 6 shows a cross section through FIG. 5,
7 shows the wrapped object before the excess wrapping material is crumpled,
FIG. 8 shows a cross section through FIG. 7 with the crinkling device before the creasing begins,
9 shows another device in longitudinal section for forming a cavity than FIG. 3,
Fig. 10 shows a cross section through Fig. 9,
Fig.
11 a crinkling device that can serve as a precrinkling device,
Fig. 12 shows the pre-creased article and
13 shows a crinkling device which can serve as a finished crinkling device.
The fully packaged object is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, for example in the form of a rectangular piece of praline 1. This praline piece 1 is surrounded by the wrapping material 2, which is superimposed under half of the object 1 at the point 3. 4 are the front folds, and 5 is the wrapping material crumpled up above the piece 1.
In order to produce a machine packaging of the object according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the object 1 is inserted mechanically into a holder 6, 7, 8 which grips over the object 1 with an upper cavity former 8. The wrapping material 2 is placed from above over the cavity former 8, the object 1 and the support part 7 of the holder 7, 8 in a U-shape by machine (FIGS. 3 and 4).
Then the support members 9 step against the two long sides of the object and grasp the object 1 together with the wrapping material 2. The holder 6, 7, 8 with the cavity former 8 can then be pulled out laterally (FIG. 3). The support members 9 continue to hold the object 1, while the folding members 10 fold the lower bottom surfaces 3 of the wrapping material under the object 1 (FIG. 6). Then the end faces 4 are folded in.
In this case, the parts 4a are first bent upwards, specifically on the two end faces. Now the side flaps 4b are turned over one after the other, and finally the parts 4c that have remained at the top in a triangular shape are folded downwards.
The previous folding over of parts 4a and 4b results in sufficient rigidity of the end faces of the casing material for folding over parts 4c without buckling of the hollow casing. The result is a packaging according to FIG. 7. While this is still held by the support members 9, the cavity 11 formed above the object 1 is deformed by stamp-shaped creasing organs 12, 13 in such a way that they crease the excess of wrapping material 2.
9 and 10, a second embodiment of the packaging device is shown. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 9 and 10, the parts 8 'are the cavity formers.
Here, too, the wrapping material 2 is placed from above over the cavity formers 8 ', the object 1 and the support part 7 of the holder 6, 7, 8' in a U-shape. Then the support members 9 again step against the two long sides of the object and grasp the object 1 together with the wrapping material 2. Now the holder 6, 7, 8 'with the cavity formers 8' can move downwards. The support members 9 continue to hold the object with the wrapping material, and the further process is as shown in FIGS. 5 to 8.
Fig. 11 shows another example of the wrinkle device. 1 is again the object to be wrapped with the wrapping material folded over according to FIG. The closure tabs 4c are still beyond the object. In this state, the article 1, provided with the wrapping material 2, comes into the area of action of the creasing device. This consists essentially of a control lever 14 which carries a folding finger 15 for turning over the flap 4c on the relevant side of the object. Another similar device is to be provided on the opposite side of the holder, or the holder must be rotated 1800 about its vertical central axis in order to fold the other tab 4c. Another lever 17, which carries the creased fingers 18, is articulated around the pin 16 of the control lever 14.
These creased fingers are arranged one above the other at different heights and also next to one another.
The lever 17 and thus the creased fingers 18 are pressed around the pivot pin 16 in the counterclockwise direction by a spring 19. The control lever 14 performs an up and down movement within the area 20. The marked position is the upper position, the dashed position is the lower position. During the transition from the upper to the lower position, the fingers 18 press on the excess casing material, so that it is creased and the object according to FIG. 12 is produced. This means that the work process can, if desired, be viewed as finished. The surface of the casing material 2 is shaped in accordance with the shape of the creased fingers 18.
If this creased material is to be creased even further or if it is to be placed more firmly on the surface, the mirror of the object 1, a second creasing device can also be used. The objects then come in the form according to FIG. 12 in the area of a post-creasing device. This consists essentially of a spring cage 22 in which a flexible insert 23, for example made of sponge rubber, can be displaced. The flexible insert 23 sits at the lower end of a plunger 21 which is moved up and down in the direction of arrow 24. The folds formed in the creasing process according to FIG. 12 are now pushed in by the flexible insert 23 in accordance with the depth of the lowering of the pressure ram 21.
It is up to you to set the stroke 24 of the plunger 21 as desired in order to make the appearance of the mirror of the envelope different. By appropriately designing the surface of the flexible insert 23, certain designs of the level of the envelope material, as shown for example in FIGS. 1 and 2, can be achieved. The creasing device according to FIG. 11 and the creasing device according to FIG. 13 can be installed alone in the device as desired.
