The present invention relates to a device for loading one of two organs forming a clamping point for a textile or paper web, with one running between the two organs during operation , flexible element.
There are various areas of application in which pressure is to be exerted on a flexible element running through between two organs forming a nipping point (e.g. press rollers lying opposite one another). Press rolls forming a nip with one another are z. It is used, for example, to press liquid out of the textiles running between these press rollers. In such devices, a control of the actual load pressure occurring at the clamping point is provided. In certain cases, both the loading pressure and the distance between the organs forming the clamping point are controlled.
This distance must be so large that not only the continuous path, but z. B. a coating applied to the web can also pass through the nip. The control of this distance by the actual loading pressure alone is usually insufficient.
According to the present invention, a device of the type mentioned is characterized by members arranged at a distance from one another over the width of the said organs, by pressure-actuated actuating means that act on the said members to press the two organs towards one another, and by separate adjustable stops which are in operative connection with each of these actuating means in order to limit the movement of one organ against the other organ.
Such a device can be used in particular in the manufacture of stretchable paper. In the following description, the device will also be explained in more detail, for example in connection with the production of such papers.
The accompanying drawing shows two execution examples of devices according to the invention. It shows: FIG. 1 a schematic side elevation of a machine for producing stretchable paper with the first embodiment of the loading device, FIG. 2 a schematic view seen from the right in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 in section a detail of one of the loading devices Fig. 1 and 2 similar device, Fig. 4 is a view from the right in Fig. 3,
Fig. 5 is a section along the line V -V in Fig. 3, Fig. 6 is a sectional view of the arrangement of a centering bolt visible in Figs. 3 and 4, Fig. 7, seen from the side, the second embodiment of the loading device, and Fig 8 partially in section of one of the members forming the clamping point in the embodiment of FIG. 7. In FIGS. 1 and 2, a machine 10 for the production of stretchable paper is shown schematically.
This machine 10 comprises an endless elastic rubber band 11 which is mounted on guide rollers 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. The rubber band 11 runs through a clamping point N-1, which is formed by a first cylinder 17 rotatable in bearings 17a and a second cylinder 18 mounted in fixed bearings 18a. The rubber band 11 is pressed against the second cylinder 18 on a considerable circumferential surface which extends from the first cylinder 17 to a second roller 15, and a paper web W is connected to the surface of the cylinder 18 just before the nip N-1 in Brought into contact and held against the surface of the cylinder 18 until the rubber belt 11 runs around the guide roller 15.
The rubber band 11 is compressed at the nipping point N-1 and gradually returns to its original size and shape when it runs over the peripheral surface 18b against the guide roller 15. The main press cylinder 18 is heated and the moisture in the paper web W, which is exposed to the heat of the cylinder 18, causes a lubrication, so that the paper web is compressed in the longitudinal direction as it passes over the surface 18b.
A number of elements 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 (Fig. 2) are arranged at intervals across the width of the clamping point N-1. As can be seen from Fig. 1, the first element 20 has a pair of rollers 20a and 20b, which on the opposite side of the cylinder 17 to the cylinder 18 rest. The same applies to the elements 21, 22, 23 and 24. The bearings of the rollers 20a and 20b are carried by an arm 20c attached to one end of a fixed pivot axis 20d, so that the rollers 20a and 20b can pivot about an axis shown in FIG the extension of the arm 20e and runs parallel to the clamping point N-1. At the other end of the arm 20c there is an axis of rotation 20e that is movable with this arm 20c.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the axes of rotation 20e, 21e, 22e etc. are each connected to a yoke 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34. By means of a medium-actuated diaphragms 40, 41, 42, etc. are each connected by means of pivot pins 50, 51, 52, etc. with one of these yokes 30, 31, 32 in order to between the pressure-actuated diaphragms 40, 41, 42, etc. and the yokes 30, 31, 32, etc. a limited pivoting movement to allow a coaxial with the pivot 50, 51, 52, etc. and aligned with the direction of movement of the rubber band passing through the clamping point N-1 in the longitudinal direction.
As shown in Fig. 1, adjustable stops 60 are provided for each pressure-actuated diaphragm 40, so that the downward stroke of the diaphragm 40 is limited, with the result that the actual distance between the cylinders 17 and 18 also increases the terminal point N-1 is limited. The adjustable stops 60 will be described in more detail later.
According to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, a partially presented large roller 100 has a surface 100a which forms a clamping point with a surface 101a of a second roller 101. The nipping point N-2 is traversed by a flexible element in the form of a rubber band B-1 and by a paper web W-2. The gap S between the surfaces 100a and 101a is somewhat smaller than the thickness of the rubber band B-1, so that the rubber band is pressed together at the nip point N-2.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, the roller 101 is rotatably mounted at both ends in bearings within Ge housings 102, 102 '(not shown). On its upper part, the housing 102 has a threaded base 102a into which a centering bolt 103 (FIG. 3) is screwed. This centering bolt 103 is screwed tight with adjusting nuts 105 and 106 to a bush 104 which is arranged on a frame 107 which is fastened to bearing housings 108a and 109a.
According to FIG. 4, the opposing bearing housings 109a and 109a 'rotatably support a support roller 109 which rests against the rear side of the press roller 101. The opposing bearing housings for a second support roller 108 are located directly behind the gear housings 109a and 109a '(seen in FIG. 4). The position of the roller 108 and one of the bearing housings 108a can be seen from FIG. The bearing housings 108a and 109a are formed in the arm 110. The opposite bearing housings, which are formed in a second arm 110 ′ arranged practically symmetrically to the arm 110, are only partially shown in FIG. 4.
The arm 110 'has no frame and no mounting for a centering bolt, but such a mounting is located at the opposite end of the press roller 101. This position of the centering bolts is shown schematically in FIG. 2, from which it can be seen that the centering bolts P and P 'for the upper cylinder 17 are attached to the opposing bearing housings 17a, 17a'. According to FIG. 6, an elastomer bushing 111 is inserted between tween the frame bushing 104 and the centering bolt 103 .
An elastomer washer 114 is clamped to the socket 104 with a metal washer 113 which is held by the adjusting nut 105. Another elastomer washer 114 is clamped to the lower part of the bush 104 with a metal washer 115 held by the lower adjusting nut 106. The washers 112 and 114 as well as the elastomer bushing 111 are made of relatively hard rubber so that they allow limited tilting movements of the centering bolt 103.
This assembly of the centering bolt 103 serves to allow a slight displacement of the bearing housing 102 and thus of the roller 101 in relation to the support rollers 108 and 109 with the relatively small movement of the arm 110. As can be seen, the arm 110 is moved slightly in order to change the gap S between the rollers 101 and 100. The small movement of the arm 110 will be described in detail later. However, this slight movement of the arm 110 has a tendency to change the alignment of the forces between the support rollers 108 and 109 and the roller 101 to ver. The elastic installation of the centering bolts 103 automatically compensates for the slight shift in the position of the roller 101 with respect to the position of the rollers 108 and 109.
The centering bolt 103 is attached to the bearing housing, so that when the rubber band B-1 is removed, the roller 101 is held in place if the parts mentioned are otherwise required to be adjusted larger. According to the fig. 3 and 5 are the arms 110 and 110 'with their sleeve-shaped ends 121 and 121' at one end 120 and 120 'on the axis of rotation 123 by means of a washer and an adjusting nut 125 and 125'. A screwed-in central part 123a of the axis of rotation 123 is rotatably mounted in a stationary sleeve 126. This is provided on the lower part of a hanging frame part 127 attached to the bottom of the main frame 128 of the device. The main frame 128 is e.g. B. fixed on the floor.
The axis of rotation 123 rotates in the sleeve 126 and can also execute a limited tilting movement so that the support rollers 108 and 109 can follow the contour of the press roller 101.
The arms 110 and 110 'are thus pivotably mounted on the axis of the axis of rotation 123, which is practically parallel to the clamping gap N-2. It is assumed that the nip theoretically defines a line of contact between rollers 100 and 101. This line of contact lies in the same plane as the axes of the rollers 100 and 101, regardless of the fact that the rollers 100 and 101 are in fact separated by the distance S from one another.
From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the bearing housing 109a on the right side of the arm 110 has a pivot pin 130. Vig. Figure 4 shows how pivot pins 130 and 130 'are mounted on bearing housings 109a and 109a'. The pivot pin 130 is mounted at both ends in a fork 131 which in turn is fastened with a threaded bolt to one end 133 of a yoke 134 extending over the support roller 109. A similar attachment is provided at the other end of the yoke 134, the corresponding parts are provided with apostrophized reference numerals. The pivot pins 130 and 130 'are thus axially aligned along an axis which is also parallel to the clamping point N-2.
The central part 134a of the yoke 134 is connected by a pivot pin 135 to an upwardly projecting, pressure-actuated actuating means belonging lifting rod 136, which in turn is attached to a membrane unit 137. The latter and the lifting rod are protected by the housing 138 shown in FIG. 3 but omitted in FIGS. 4 and 5. The housing 138 projects downward from the upper frame part 128a and the membrane unit 137 is attached to the upper frame part 128a and acts against the same in order to raise or lower the yoke 134. The pivot pin 135, which connects the yoke and the lifting rod 136, is designed so that it allows pivoting of the yoke 134 in the circumferential direction of the support roller 109.
The membrane unit 137 comprises a table-shaped upper part 139 fastened to the upper frame part 128a, a membrane element 140 clamped to the circumference of the table-shaped part 139 by means of a clamping ring 141, and the lifting rod 136, which has an upper part fastened to the membrane element 140 with a clamping part 136b Has flange 136a. A number of air hoses 142 are carried by the frame 128 and each supply air to a separate membrane unit 137. The pressure in the membrane unit 137 is controlled so that the desired force is transmitted to the press roll 101 via the support rollers 108 and 109.
As in the Vig. 4 and 5, frame parts 128b and 128e protrude downward from the upper frame part 128a on both sides of the membrane unit 137, and these frame parts 128b and 128e carry pivot pins 143 and 143 ', which in turn support the ends 144 and 144' of a Y-shaped lever 145 record, tape. In Fig. 5 only the ends of the two arms 144 and 144 'of the lever 145 are ersicht Lich. According to FIG. 3, the arms 144 and 144 'unite to form the central part 146 of the Y-shaped lever 145.
A pivot pin 147 is mounted in front of the joining point of the arms 144 and 144 ', which extends between them and is rotatably supported in the lifting rod 136. The lever middle part 146 has a foot located in the saddle 149 for vertical adjustment. The position of the saddle 149 serving as a stop therefore limits the downward movement of the support rollers 108 and 109 and also the minimum space S between the surfaces 100a and 101a. During operation of the device, a sufficient pressure can be exerted via the membrane unit 137 in order to keep the distance S at the desired value, even if opposing forces occur in the running rubber band B-1.
Changes in pressure in the diaphragm unit 137 do not reduce the distance beyond a predetermined setting, which is determined by the actual position of the adjustable saddle 149 be. The rounded surface of the lever foot 148 resting on the saddle 149 allows the device to be adjusted at the pivot points of the pivot pins 130, 130 ′ and 135.
The saddle 149 is mounted so that it can be adjusted vertically by the axial movement of the adjusting screw 150. The adjusting screw 150 is in turn driven in a known manner by a worm gear 151. The worm of the worm gear is mounted on a shaft 152 and drives a worm wheel. The latter has the form of an internally threaded bushing in which the adjusting screw 150 is located. The rotation of the shaft 152 thus causes an axial movement of the adjusting screw 150. This is triggered in a simple manner by a flexible shaft, not shown, connected to the coupling 153, or by using an air coupling 154.
The use of a flexible shaft connected to the coupling 153 is a known means, and the end of this flexible shaft is mounted, for example, on a switchboard where it is connected to a counter which counts the number of revolutions of the shaft 152 by the number of revolutions To determine the end position of the saddle 149. The air clutch 154 is also a known construction in which the shaft is rotated in one direction or the other by an air motor, not shown. The shaft 155 is mounted in the bearings 156 (FIGS. 4 and 5) and 157 (only visible in FIG. 4). The shaft 155 carries a wheel 159 which meshes with another wheel 160. This wheel 160 is connected to the expansion part 162 of the air coupling via a shaft 161.
This part 162 couples the coupling 154 in that it expands against a coupling part 165 which can rotate with it and which is mounted on the worm shaft 152 . When the clutch 154 is engaged in the usual manner, the worm rotates and drives the set screw 150. Every movement of the worm 152 can be measured by determining the number of revolutions of this worm. With the measurement result obtained in this way, the exact gap width S at the clamping point N-2 can be determined.
7 and 8, another embodiment of the device is shown, which is generally designated by 200. In this embodiment 200, the elements that are comparable with those elements that have already been shown in FIGS. 3 to 6, corresponding reference numerals are given with a 2 in front. The clamping point N-3 is delimited between a lower surface 200a and an upper surface 201a. The surface 201a is formed on an organ 201 with a relatively small diameter. A rubber band B-2 runs together with the paper web W-3 through the nipping point N-3. A semi-cylindrical housing 270 comprises a limited part of the organ 201.
This part corresponds in the lateral dimensions to the previously described part of the roller 101 supported by the support rollers 108 and 109. The element 201 is clamped in the semi-cylindrical housing 270 with a shoe 271 screwed to it so that it is prevented from rotating ver and does not slide out of the semi-cylindrical housing 270 when the support from below, z. B. elastic band B-2 is removed. At the other end of the arm 210, a pivot 230 is attached to one side of the yoke 234. The yoke 234 is mounted so that it can perform a limited pivoting movement around a pivot pin 235 attached to the lower end of a pivot pin 235 attached to a pressure-actuated actuating means belonging to a lifting rod 236, not shown, but designed in the same way as in the previous embodiment.
Another arm 210 ′, not shown, is symmetrical to the arm 210 and carries corresponding parts, so that the axis of rotation 230 corresponds to the axis of rotation 130 described above. The yoke 234 corresponds to the yoke 134 and the pivot pin 235 corresponds to the pivot pin 135.
In operation, the roller 101 stops rotating when a sufficiently lubricated rubber band B-1 is used. The organ 201 is prevented from rotating, so that it must be lubricated. As FIG. 8 shows, the organ 201 has a sleeve 273 provided with a large number of holes which is fixedly mounted on a hollow part 274 which forms the body of the organ 201. The hollow part 274 is provided with a number of laterally spaced circumferentially spaced grooves 275, 276, 277, 278, 279, etc.
These grooves 275, 276 etc. communicate with the fine openings of the outer shell 273, so that the liquid or gaseous medium can flow from this against the band B-2 and lubricate it while walking past the organ 201. Lubricants in the form of water or the like flow, as shown schematically, from a container P through a valve V to one of the laterally aligned passages 280, 281, 282 etc. arranged on a circle for each individual passage 280, 281, 282 Valves V are provided so that the flow of the medium can be controlled independently in each. Each passage communicates with a groove.
The passage 282 communicates with the groove 275 and the passage 281 with the groove 276. In this way, the lubrication at selected points of the organ 201 is effected.
