Chair with seat and backrest with removable covers The subject of this patent is a chair with seat and backrest with removable covers, characterized in that it comprises a framework formed by two side frames each comprising a backrest constituting the extension of one of the rear legs, a junction pin forming the lateral edge of the seat and a front leg of the chair, the said frames being joined together by crosspieces, in that it further comprises two elastic covers whose each of the side edges of the first cover is clamped with a cleat against one of the corresponding side edges of the seat and in that each of the side edges of the second cover is clamped with a cleat against one of the amounts in the file.

In the form of execution represented, the chair comprises two side frames 13 (fig. 1 to 3), parallel to each other, each of them being composed of three pikes, namely: an upright 14 of the backrest, forming the posterior leg of the chair, a front leg 15 and a junction pike 16, forming the lateral edge of the seat. two frames 13 are interconnected by a front crosspiece 17, bracing the front legs 15 at their upper part, and by two rear crosspieces 18 and 19, superimposed on each other, bracing the uprights 14 in the vicinity of the junction pins 16 , the uprights of the backrest 14 being devoid of an upper crosspiece or of a backrest panel, so as to ensure the tension of a removable cover fixed between the said uprights.

Between the junction pins 16 is stretched a seat cover 20 (fig. 4 to 7), confeetionn6e elastic fabric, consisting of synthetic or natural material, avee plasticizer coating. Each of the side edges 21 of the cover 20, folded towards the inside of the seat, is tightened against the inside face of the junction pike by a cleat 22, using screws 23. The front end 24 of the pike junction 16 and the two ends of the cleats 22 are rounded, so as to allow the folding of the seat cover 20 in a semi-circle downwards and the attachment of its front 20' and rear 20" edges respectively, while ensuring the tension of the cover between said junction pikes.

The fixing of the backrest cover 25 (fig. 8 to 11) is effected by means of an assembly similar to that which has just been described for the seat cover 20. Between the backrest uprights 14 is stretched the backrest cover 25, in the general shape of an inverted U, each of the side edges 26 of which, folded towards the inside of the backrest, is tightened against the inside face of the backrest upright 14 by a cleat 27, using screws 28. The upper extremity 29 of the uprights of the backrest 14 and of the cleats 27 is rounded, so as to allow the fixing of the cover on the semi-circular part of its lateral edges, while ensuring its tension between both amounts.

To consolidate the covers 20 and 25, seat and backrest respectively, on their respective supports, an could fix, for example with the aid of upholstery nails, the folded edges of said covers in a groove made in the front face. cleats 22 and 27 respectively.

The method of fixing the covers in the form of execution described, on the inside faces of their respective Supports, completely releases the ribs of the chair, so that it could also be applied to chairs fitted with armrests. CLAIM Chair with seat and backrest with removable covers, characterized in that it comprises a framework formed by two lateral frames each comprising a backrest upright constituting the extension of one of the rear legs, a junction pike forming the lateral edge of the seat and a front leg of the chair, said frames being joined together by crosspieces, in that it further comprises two elastic covers, each of the lateral edges of the first cover being tightened with the aid of a cleat against one of the corresponding side edges of the seat and in that each of the side edges of the second cover is tightened with the aid of a cleat against one of the uprights of the backrest. SUB-CLAIMS 1. Chair according to claim, characterized in that the ends of the seat cleats and the front end of the junction pikes are rounded. 2. Chair according to claim, characterized in that the upper extremity of the backrest cleats and backrest uprights are rounded. 3. Chair according to claim and sub-claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the cleats are fixed by screws on the frame. 4. Chair according to claim and sub-claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the inner faces of the cleats tightening the covers are provided with a groove in which are fixed by means of upholstery nails, the side edges of said covers.
