Spoked wheel with tubeless pneumatic tires, in particular for bicycles and light motorcycles The present invention relates to a spoke wheel with tubeless pneumatic tires for spoke wheels, in particular for bicycles and light motorcycles. The spoke wheel according to the invention is characterized in that on the outside of the rim a flexible, air-impermeable band running in the circumferential direction is detachably arranged, which band covers the heads of the spoke nipples, with the band and the rim running in the circumferential direction on both sides of the nipple head row, have interlocking beads and grooves.
In the drawing, an example from the embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 shows the spoke wheel in cross section at a location between two successive spokes, and Fig. 2 shows an analogous cross section at the location of a spoke, the position of the next spoke is also indicated with dash-dotted lines.
According to the drawing, a tubeless rubber tire 10 is arranged on the circumference of a rim 11 between two flanges 12 of the same, as is known per se. The two rim flanges 12 are connected to one another by a rim base 13, which has a central circumferential groove 14 and two outer circumferential grooves 15 which run on both sides of the central groove 14 on its upper side in the drawing, facing away from the axis of rotation of the wheel. The cross section of the central groove 14 is at least approximately circular arc-shaped, while the two lateral circumferential grooves 15 have a V-shaped cross section. Between the central groove 14 and the grooves 15, the rim is provided with a respective bead 16 extending in the circumferential direction Rich, which is directed away from the axis of rotation of the wheel.
The nipples 17 of wheel spokes 18 are anchored in the middle section of the rim base 13. For this purpose, punch marks 19 are on the rim bottom IN ANY, in which for each spoke nipple 1.7 a seat 20 recessed against the axis of rotation of the wheel is embossed and has a hollow spherical design. The spoke nipples 17 have heads 21 with spherical-zone-shaped support shoulders, the radius of curvature of which corresponds to that of the seats 20.
With this design of the nipple heads 21 and their seats 20, a watertight shot between the spoke nipples 17 and the rim base 13 is achieved, even if the spokes 18 and thus the axes of the nipples 17 do not run radially to the tire due to the spoke intersection.
On the outside of the rim 11 there is a flexible, air-impermeable and preferably rubber-elastic band 22 running in its circumferential direction, for example made of rubber or thermoplastic. This tape 22 covers the heads 21 of the spoke nipples 17 and is, except men at the points of the nipple seats 20, against the rim 11 everywhere. In its central part, the band 22 is bent through in cross section against the axis of rotation of the Ra with a curvature which corresponds to the profile of the central groove 14 of the rim.
At its two longitudinal edges, the band 22 each has a bead 23 which protrudes against the axis of rotation of the wheel and fits in one of the circumferential grooves 15 of the rim base. The two circumferential beads 16 of the rim each engage between one of the beads 23 and the bent central part of the band 22.
The interlocking beads and grooves of the band 22 and the rim 11 are located on both sides of the nipple head row and form labyrinth seals in order to prevent air from escaping from the air chamber 25. In the operating state of the tire, the band 22 is pressed against the rim base 13 under the influence of the overpressure prevailing in the air chamber 25, whereby the sealing of the openings serving for the passage of the spoke nipples 17 is additionally improved.
For pumping air into the pressure chamber 25, there is a valve (not shown) which is inserted into the rim base 13 in an air-tight manner. The at the ends of the band 22 are in the immediate vicinity of this valve.
So that the band 22 does not become detached from the rim 11 when there is no excess pressure in the pneumatic tire, the ends of the band can be connected to one another by adhesive strips or the like. Before geous is also if the tape is provided on its side facing the rim with a permanent adhesive that allows the tape to be releasably glued to the rim. Instead, one can insert a cord or the like in the circumferential direction into the bent center part of the belt to fix the belt 22 and link the two ends of this cord together.
If, during a repair, the nipples 17 have to be retightened or the spokes 18 have to be replaced, this can be done with the Gummirei 10 removed and the tape 22 removed.
The described storage wheel with tubeless pneumatic tires is suitable, for example, for bicycles, light motorcycles, etc.
