Strahlungsheiz- bzw.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Radiant heating or cooling system The subject of the present invention is a radiant heating or cooling system in which the heat or cold from heated or cooled tubes is passed on to distributors via contact rails and given off to the room to be heated or cooled. The distributors are advantageously made of flat sheets of aluminum or its alloys, copper or its alloys or iron. They also form part of the room delimitation and can be provided with a covering, i.e. colored, whitened, covered with a foil, wallpapered, veneered or covered with fabric.
This covering should not only achieve a more homely impression, but also increase the heat radiation compared to bare metal sheets. There are contact bars which lie between the manifolds and the tubes and cause heat transfer between the tubes and the manifolds. The latter can be pressed against the contact rails with springs so that they can dilate freely in their plane and do not suffer any deformations such as bending or throwing. One variant is that springs attack the manifolds and press the contact rails against the tubes via these.
In this case it is possible to firmly connect the distributors to the contact rails if they have at least approximately the same expansion coefficient. The total dilation then takes place against the end dilation joints. The contact rails can be attached to the tubes by themselves, with one side being advantageously adapted to the shape of the tubes and the other side being adapted to the shape of the distributor. However, it can also be advantageous for certain cases to attach an intermediate rail for metering the heat transfer between said rail and the associated tube.
This intermediate rail can be an elongated square in cross-section and represent, for example, a thin perforated sheet metal to reduce the heat transfer, or it can be adapted to the shape of the tube on the one hand and the shape of the contact rail on the other to improve the heat transfer .
The particular embodiment of the present invention can have the following advantages: Low material expenditure and therefore also low heat capacity, which again results in almost inertia-free regulation, simple elements such as flat distributor plates that allow them to be guided over several pipe axes and thus from the distance of the pipe axes to be less dependent, and nevertheless to achieve a very good support and to achieve a more regular heat distribution with close spacing, to use smaller sheet metal thicknesses and still use large-area distributors. Quick assembly of the distributors, good revision options and laying of all types of lines even after the heating or heating systems have been completed.
Cooling system without a great deal of work, low construction height, great variability and adaptation to the architecture of the room, i.e. checkered division or smooth design. Low tool costs, adjustment to any operating temperature thanks to the metering option, whereby it is always possible to connect both radiators and the radiant hay or cooling system to the same line.
1 to 12 are various exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. 1 shows the cross section through a ceiling heater and FIG. 2 shows its top view from above. In these figures, only the basic arrangement and attachment of the tubes, the contact rails, the distributor, the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
End joints and their cover shown, while the remaining figures show details for such arrangements.
In Fig. 1 and 2, 1 denotes the supporting ceiling, 2 the walls, while 3 denotes the pipe system or the tubes, 4 denotes the braces welded between them, on which the pipe system 3 is held by holders 5, which are attached in the usual way the ceiling 1 are fixed and in which the pipe system can dilate freely. The contact rails are indicated by 6, while 6a only has to serve as a dilatation rail, since it is no longer in direct contact with the tubes 3. The distributors 7, which have Karreform, rest on the rails 6.
Outside the pipe system 3, the contact rails 6 continue, but the dilation can no longer have a strong effect there because there is practically always room temperature, which varies only slightly. These contact rails 6 are fastened there to wooden strips 9, which in turn are fastened to the ceiling 1 by screws 10. Since there is no longer any significant heat release and the thermal stresses can no longer have a disadvantageous effect because of the uniform temperature, a less conductive material such as iron, plasterboard or cardboard can be used instead of the heat spreader 7 made of aluminum or copper with 8 marked Karros.
With 14 a covering is indicated which covers all the Karros 7 and 8 on the room side, so that no butt joints remain visible. Sufficient play 11 is left along the walls so that the overall dilation can have an effect there. These end joints 11 are expediently covered by strips 12 from view. A remaining cavity 13 can be shielded from the ceiling 1 in the usual way with thermal insulation, which is not specifically shown here.
In Fig. 3 and 4 a cross section through a heating pipe and a longitudinal section of this embodiment is shown, where it can be seen in detail how the various elements are assembled. It again represents 1 the supporting ceiling, 3 a heating pipe and 6 the contact rail located between the pipe and the distributor, which preferably has a substantially elongated square as a cross section. The distributors 7 are pressed against the contact rail 6 by springs 17.
They are held at the top on a transverse rod 18, which is supported on the tube 3, while at the bottom in the distributors 7 small impressions are made, in which a cotter pin 16 is located, which serves to hold the springs 17 in place. The distributors are pressed by these springs 17 in the direction of the arrow against the flat contact bar 6, where they can be conveniently glued to this or firmly connected by spot welding. The butt joints of the distributors, which can be butted together if the distributors are to be fully dilated towards the end joints, are located in the middle under the contact rails 6. The butt joints of the distributors 7 including the protrusions 15 are made on the room side by the glued covering 14 covered.
The tube 3 has only one linear contact with the contact bar 6, which at a flow temperature of 90 C, for example, should be sufficient to dissipate enough heat to the manifold 7 to achieve the desired physiologically permissible heat output per m2. Heating tube 3 and contact bar 6 are shown in cross section in FIG. 3, but not hatched for the sake of simplicity. You can move mutually both in the longitudinal axis of the pipe 3 and transversely to it in the horizontal plane of the manifold, so that no dilation stresses arise, even if the pipe 3 and rail 6 are made of different materials.
In contrast, if there is a fixed connection between the rail 6 and the manifolds 7, their coefficient of expansion must be practically the same so that no deformations arise as a result of temperature fluctuations. On the right in Fig. 4, the continuation of the construction beyond the pipe system is indicated, where instead of the tube 3 a bar 9 forms the continuation of the tube, which bar is spaced from the ceiling by a base 19, thus leaving a slot 20 free and by a Screw 10 is held. The mounting of the distributors 7 or the plates 8 together with the continuous rail 6, to which the part 7 or 8 is firmly connected, is again carried out by springs 17. Here too, the rail 6 remains freely movable relative to the bar 9.
The plates 8 do not need to have the same coefficient of expansion as the rail 6, since the room temperature is more or less constant here. But you can also choose the continuation of the rail 6 from the same material as the plates, for example iron, or replace it with expanded metal. Even if the rail 6 is not made of the same material throughout, it must form a unit along its entire length, that is, the individual pieces must be firmly connected to one another so that the dilation can have an effect on the end joints. With 13 a free space is again shown, which can be filled with insulation material as required, on the one hand to prevent excessive heat transfer to the ceiling 1 and on the other hand to achieve improved sound insulation.
5 shows a section transverse to the tube axis, the tube 3 being covered by an overlaid U-shaped contact rail 22 which is pressed against the actual contact rail 6 by springs 17 at the lower base. These springs are in turn held on a transverse web 18, which here rests on the U-profile 22, and at the bottom by eyelets 21 welded to the manifolds 7. The U-shaped design of the upper contact rail 22 allows to compensate for deviations of the pipe axis from the straight line, so that these deviations
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Deviations are not transferred to the contact rail 6 and the distributor 7.
In Fig. 6 a further cross section through a heating tube 3 is shown, which is wrapped here by a resilient clip-shaped contact profile. This profile 6 is secured against falling off the pipe by a strong bracket 26 after it has been slipped over the pipe 3. Flat planar distributors 7 are pressed by springs 27 supported on profile rail 6 onto a flange 24 of contact rail 6 in the direction of the arrow in order to achieve good contact. In order to cover the butt joints of the manifolds 7 running transversely to the pipe axis, a transverse rail 23 can be attached to each end of the manifold 7 (FIG. 11), which rails also serve to reinforce the manifolds 7. Joints 25 allow the individual manifolds 7 to dilate towards these joints.
The mentioned flange 24 of the profile contact rail 6 forms with the cross rails 23 together regular quadrangles which are visible towards the room side.
FIGS. 7, 8, 9 and 10 illustrate, in cross section, various options for enabling better or reduced heat transfer between the tubes 3 and the contact bar 6. For this purpose, in FIG. 7 the point of contact of the tube 3 with the contact rail 6, which is rectangular in cross section, is somewhat flattened, for example by grinding the tube wall. Compared to the linear contact in FIG. 3, this results in a flat contact. In FIG. 8, a reduced heat transfer from tube 3 to contact rail 6 is achieved in that an intermediate rail or metering rail 28 which is less conductive is switched on.
This metering rail 28 can consist, for example, of a thin, perforated sheet metal strip or a less conductive material. This can be beneficial for high temperature steam heating. In FIG. 9, a larger contact area between tube and contact bar 6 is again created in that a profile 24 adapted to tube 3 is used as the metering bar, with a flat contact area facing down, where contact with contact bar 6 is made. Fig. 10 finally shows a tube 3 with a hexagonal profile, one surface of which with the contact rail 6 results in the planar contact between these two elements.
11 shows how transverse rails 23 attached to the ends of the distributors 7 reinforce the distributors 7 on the one hand and cover the butt joints 25 of adjacent distributors 7 on the other hand, while the contact rail 6 is continuous. The cross rails 23 are each welded to only one end of the distributor 7, which is indicated by crosses. The next distributor rests loosely on this cross rail 23. In this way, regular rectangles are formed with the contact rails 6 and the cross rails.
Above the transverse rail 23 on the distributor 7, a tab (not shown here) can be welded to each other in order to also fix the distributors 7 towards the top. FIG. 11 can also be understood as a detail in the longitudinal section of FIG. 6.
Fig. 12 finally indicates how the distributor 7, in order to ensure reliable contact with the continuous, flat and straight contact rail 6, can be slightly pre-bent so that only by springs that act in the direction of the arrows and with the Eyes 21 are attached, the straightening of the distributor 7 takes place: 29 indicates a reinforcing rib transversely to the distributor 7, which reinforces it mechanically. It can be attached by spot welding, riveting, gluing or other conventional methods.
Fig. 1 to 12 are examples of the implementation of a ceiling heating. With a corresponding conversion, wall or floor heating can of course also be implemented.
Depending on the type of heating or the operating temperature of the tubes, a planar, linear or slightly insulated transfer from the tube to the contact rail may be desirable. Here one has to adapt to the physiological conditions which can be satisfied in any case with this system. In the case of heat pump systems with low flow temperatures, there will be a flat contact, in the case of hot water systems with around 90 C in the flow, a linear contact, and in the case of steam heating systems with a high operating temperature, a slightly insulating contact between the tubes and the contact bars will be useful.
Of course, you can also design the construction so that the distributors also have a sound-absorbing effect, for example through evenly distributed holes or grooves in the distributor and appropriate insulation behind the distributors. On the other hand, it is also possible to blow the air that has accumulated between the distributor and the building structure through the holes in the distributors. Slits, grooves, impressions and the like on the distributor can of course also be used as plaster bases, if this is desired and thus act as a covering, only that the heat capacity is unnecessarily increased.
When appropriately designed, the radiant heating or cooling system has the particular advantage of a low inherent heat capacity. Of course, the possible embodiments described can be varied as desired without deviating from the essence of the invention, which is to effect the transfer of heat from the tubes to the distributors via contact bars.
According to the invention, the system is manufactured in such a way that first the tubes are mounted at the intended location, then the contact rails on the tubes, at least temporarily, and the distributors are then mounted on these.
