Housing for electrical apparatus, with insulated covered metal base plate and insulating cap. Electrical apparatus, e.g. B. counters are designed with a metal housing or in such a way that no one can come into contact with live parts, even if there is insulation damage. In the latter case, you can make both the base plate and the housing cap made of insulating material. In order to simplify the production program, the same metal base plate can be used for both types of construction, but in one case it must be covered with an insulating part. Now, however, the meter panels on which the meters are attached are now made of insulating material, now of metal.
In the latter case, the meter board can receive voltage via the metallic base plate in the event of insulation damage, so that there is no protection against accidental contact.
The invention now holds on the one hand to the simplified production program, but eliminates the deficiency noted above. The subject of the invention is a housing for electrical apparatus, with an insulated covered metal base plate and an insulating cap, and this housing is characterized in that the fastening feet of the base plate are provided with insulating shoes. An insulating shoe can be made up of a sole part with an eyelet and a flange part inserted into the eyelets of the foot and the sole part.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. 1 shows a section of a meter housing with a fastening foot attached to it and covered by an insulating part, the latter being shown in section along line II of FIG. 2, FIG. 2 a plan view of FIG. 1, omitted the covering insulation part, Fig. 3 to 5 the structural parts of a fastening stigungsfusses including insulating shoe individually, in perspective, Fig. 6 the structural parts of a mounting foot with insulating shoe assembled, perspekti visch.
An existing metal counter base plate 1 with mounting foot 2 is to be composed with a cap 3 made of insulating material to form a counter housing. The base plate 1 with the cross-sectionally U-shaped foot 2 is covered by an insulation part 4 to the outside. The meter is attached to a meter board 5 made of insulating material.
If this panel 5 is made of metal, it can lead to voltage via the base plate 1 in the event of insulation damage. In order to prevent this, the feet receive 2 insulating shoes, which consist of a sole part 6 (FIG. 5) and a flange part 7 (FIG. 3). The sole part 6 has a projection 8 with which it is inserted into the cavity of the foot 2 from the underside. The extension 8 can be dimensioned such that it fills the cavity of the foot 2. The foot 2 has an eyelet 9 (Fig. 4). The sole part 6 has an eyelet 10 (FIG. 5) which penetrates it and its attachment 8. The eyelet 9 of the foot 2 (Fig. 4) and the eyelet 10 of the sole part 6, including its at set 8, have at least approximately the same shape and clear width; they only differ in the wall thickness of the material.
The flange part 7 has a pipe extension 11 which is shaped in cross section so that it fits into the eyelets 9 and 10.
Before attaching the counter to the counter board 5, a sole part 6 is inserted from the underside of the mounting foot into the cavity of the foot on each fastening foot 2. The eyelets 9 and 10 come to rest on one another. Then the flange part 7 with its tubular extension 11 is inserted through eyelets 9 and 10 from the top of the foot 2. With this, the fastening foot 2 is provided with an insulating shoe through the parts 6 and 7. The tubular extension 11 can be glued into the sole part 6 in order to prevent falling on one another.
Instead, however, one can also provide for holding together by static friction if the tubular extension 11 and the extension 8 are made of an elastic plastic and if the mutual contact surfaces of the tubular extension 11 and the eyelet 10 receive a wedge tightening, ie are formed a little conical.
The invention offers the advantage that you can keep the same design of the base plate for non-insulated meter housings, for outwardly insulated covered housings on a meter panel made of insulating material and for such housings on a metallic meter panel. This simplifies the production program. The same arrangement can of course also be used for other housings for electrical apparatus.
