Des formes d'exécution d'un appareil con forme à l'invention sont représentées, à titre d'exemple, sur le dessin annexé dans lequel la fig. 1 est une vue en coupe d'une pre mière forme d'exécution; la fig. 2 est une vue schématique de l'ap pareil monté sur l'essieu des roues d'un wagon de chemin de fer ; la fig. 3 est une vue de gauche de la fig. 2 ; la fig. 4 est une vue montrant l'appareil monté en bout de l'arbre portant l'hélice d'un navire ; la fig. 5 est une vue en perspective mon trant une application de l'appareil pour limiter la vitesse de descente des cages d'ascenseur ;
Apparatus comprising at least one volumetric machine The present invention relates to an apparatus comprising at least one volumetric machine, characterized in that said machine is integral with a movable shaft in rotation and is placed in a hydraulic circuit provided with means for adjusting the flow rate. liquid, which makes it possible, by acting on said adjustment means, to modify the flow rate of the hydraulic circuit and the speed of rotation of the shaft.
Embodiments of an apparatus according to the invention are shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in which FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a first embodiment; fig. 2 is a schematic view of the apparatus mounted on the axle of the wheels of a railway car; fig. 3 is a view from the left of FIG. 2; fig. 4 is a view showing the apparatus mounted at the end of the shaft carrying the propeller of a ship; fig. 5 is a perspective view showing an application of the apparatus for limiting the descent speed of elevator shafts;
fig. 6, 7 and 8 are schematic views illustrating the various operating phases of another embodiment of the apparatus constituting a variable speed drive; fig. 9 is a schematic view of the entire speed variator; fig. 10 is a schematic view of another embodiment of the apparatus constituting a three-speed hydraulic gearbox; fig. 11 is a view from the left of FIG. 10; fig. 12 shows in section another embodiment.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is intended for slowing down motor vehicles of all tonnages on steep slopes, without resorting to either the engine braking or the ordinary brakes which currently exist on all vehicles.
This device is independent of the existing brakes and makes it possible to brake the speed of the vehicle when exiting the gearbox.
In the embodiment illustrated by FIG. 1, the apparatus consists essentially of a positive displacement pump represented by the general reference 1 and comprising two moving parts a) the rotor 2; b) two blades 3 rotating with rotor 2. The rotor yoke 4 is in two parts coupled by bolting.
This cylinder head is mounted by means of ball bearings on the rotor shaft.
Pipes 5 and 6 open into the rotor of the pump and respectively ensure the arrival and the output of oil from a reservoir.
The rotor 2 is eccentric with respect to the cylinder head 4 and the blades 3 are arranged so as to slide one relative to the other following the position they occupy in said cylinder head.
They have a notch in their axis.
Oil circulation is established during the rotation of the rotor. This oil can be braked at the outlet at will by a servo brake system 7 which reduces the flow rate of the pump so as to brake the rotor by limiting the flow of oil in order to slow down the shaft 62. This brake booster comprises a needle 8 regulating the passage of oil through the duct 6. This deflector subjected to the action of a spring 9 is carried by a shaft 10 at the end of which a handwheel 11 is keyed.
The shaft 10 is housed in a casing 12 comprising an expansion chamber 13 connected to the compressor.
Opening into circuit 6, is connected a shock-absorbing device 14 consisting of a cylinder 15 in which a piston 16 moves, subjected to the action of two antagonist springs 17 and 18.
This shock absorber prevents water hammer by absorbing the excess oil pressures which move the piston 16 in the direction indicated by the arrow FI.
Also opening into the conduit 6 is provided a safety valve 19 constituted by a cylinder 20 in which moves a piston 21 subjected to the action of a spring 22.
This piston 21 slides in a sleeve 23 carried inside the cylinder 20 and has orifices 24 which are masked by the plug 23. When an oil overpressure, the piston 21 is moved in the direction indicated by the arrow F ,, which has the effect of unmasking the orifices 24.
This unit is cooled by a closed oil circuit in a cooling tank housed in the chassis.
The device may also include control means for indicating to the driver that the oil is under pressure in the hydraulic circuit. A relay can be provided for this purpose, placed next to the valve 19, this relay controlling a warning light placed on the dashboard.
The apparatus described can be mounted on railway wagons (fig. 2 and 3).
This retarder device is mounted by means of springs 25 on the frame 26 of the wagon and is carried by flanges 27 mounted on ball bearings 28 on the axle 29 of the wheels 30.
On the shafts 31 and 32 of the volu metric pump are mounted helical gears 33, 34 respectively engaged with helical gears 35, 36 carried by the axle 29.
The apparatus mounted in this way makes it possible, as described with reference to FIG. l, to slow down the speed of rotation of a shaft, in this case here of a wagon axle.
The disclosed apparatus can be mounted as a coupler to actuate a rotational shaft by supplying the rotor with pressurized fluid. This apparatus can then be used, for example, as a coupler to drive the actuating shaft of the propeller of a ship, as shown in FIG. 4. In this case, it is connected by a coupling sleeve 38 to the shaft 39 of the propeller 37.
The device described can also be used as a slowing device for mine or other elevator cages, as shown in FIG. 5. For this purpose, the apparatus is connected by a coupling sleeve 40 to the shaft 41 supporting the drum 42 for winding the cable of the elevator shaft 43. In another embodiment, 'the The apparatus may include a pump 47, the eccentricity of the rotor in the stator of which is adjustable and a positive displacement motor 48, the eccentricity of the stator with respect to the rotor is fixed.
When the stator of the pump 47 is concentric with the rotor of this same pump, there is no suction or compression of the fluid, this fluid is not put into circulation and the positive displacement motor 48 therefore remains stationary (fig. 6). .
When the stator of the pump is moved relative to the rotor, there is, during a complete revolution, a suction and a compression, of a very small volume. A circulation of oil is established in the hydraulic circuit of this pump and causes a rotation of the motor 48.
The more the stator is eccentric with respect to the rotor, the more the volume of compressed oil increases and, consequently, the more the speed of the motor 48 increases (Figs. 7 and 8).
This embodiment constitutes a variator and allows a change of speed by simply moving the stator of the pump relative to its rotor. The torque is maximum at the start for a low speed of rotation of the motor 48. An infinite number of speeds is thus obtained due to the displacement of the stator relative to the rotor. In a variant, this device may include a second motor arranged so as to simultaneously constitute a speed variator and a differential.
The embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 11 comprises a pump 49 coupled to a motor. This pump delivers the pressurized fluid into a positive displacement motor 50 comprising several chambers 51, 52, 53 of different volumes. The oil delivered by the pump 49 is distributed in one or other of the chambers 51, 52 and 53 by means of a regulating valve 54 and three pipes 55, 56 and 57.
As can be seen in particular in FIG. 10, when the pump is connected by pipe 55 to the chamber 53 of the engine, a first gear ratio is obtained, on the other hand, when these machines are connected by pipe 56, a second gear is obtained. transmission and when they are connected by line 57, a third transmission port is obtained.
Finally, a reversal of the direction of rotation of the motor is obtained for a fourth position of the distributor 54.
Finally, it will be noted that at the output of the shaft 58 of the pump 50, the differential is connected.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 12 essentially comprises a volumetric machine consisting of a casing 1 with a cylindrical chamber forming a stator inside which the rotor 2 is mounted. This rotor 2 comprises projections 3 of semi-cylindrical shape mounted with a very small clearance with respect to the cylindrical inner surface of the stator. This rotor is wedged on a shaft 60 concentric with the rotor and the stator.
This rotor cooperates with a rotary shutter cylinder 61 mounted in a housing of the housing 1 which opens into the housing of the rotor. This shutter cylinder is mounted on a shaft 62, and the center distance between the shafts 60 and 62, as well as the diameters of the rotor and of the cylinder 61 are such that this cylinder is tan gent on the cylindrical surface of the rotor. The shutter cylinder has a recess 63 for the passage of the projections of the rotor.
The shafts 60 and 62 are coupled by a gear train, so that no slippage occurs between the rotor and the shutter cylinder and that the protrusions of the rotor always fall in line with the recess of the shutter cylinder.
The circumference ratio between the rotor and the shutter cylinder is 1 to 3, the rotor having three equidistant projections 3 and the shutter cylinder a single recess 63. The gear train connecting the shafts 60 and 62 has a transmission ratio of 3/1. It is, however, possible to modify this ratio as well as the number of projections of the rotor and the number of recesses of the shutter cylinder.
In the embodiment used as a retarding device, for example, for motor vehicles, the shaft 82 of the shutter cylinder is preferably coupled either to the motor shaft or to the output shaft of the gearbox. speed and it thus constitutes a primary shaft relative to the secondary shaft 60 on which the rotor is wedged.
The apparatus shown further comprises, like the apparatus described with reference to FIG. 1, suction 5 and delivery 6 pipes connected to a circuit passing through an oil tank.
This device also comprises a brake booster 7, a shock-absorbing device 14 and a safety valve 19.
