Closing device for gas under high pressure The invention relates to a closing device for gas under high pressure, in particular for an oxygen cylinder. It is already known from the Dutch patent document number 58994 to use a valve for tapping oxygen bottles and the like, which automatically counteracts the flow of gas against the valve Actually, a spring closes
if too much gas passes through the tap. A similar valve is to be combined with a 1-main shut-off valve, which can be conveniently operated by hand and is attached to the oxygen bottle in front of the protective valve.
The aim of the invention is to improve the entire closure device for an oxygen cylinder or for similar purposes in the case of gas at high pressure k # 7.11, both in terms of construction and in terms of safety and ease of use.
The closure device according to the invention is characterized in that two C closure devices are provided,
which are attached to the gas supply side of a fixed closing seat in the device and #of which one forms a main valve and can be operated from the outside and the other forms an auxiliary valve and is in the bottom position cl (#s Ilauptventils is kept closed by the main valve in the closed position closing the auxiliary valve and the auxiliary valve closing the tight seat,
The closing force is transmitted through the two valves to the TegMil seat, and that the auxiliary valve in the open position of the main valve can assume both the open and the closed position, depending on the gas pressure acting on it , wherein the auxiliary valve has a narrowed passage to allow gas to flow through in the open position of the main valve and in the closed position of the auxiliary valve, and the device is designed such that the gas is guided when the auxiliary valve is open so that it reaches the Auxiliary valve exerts a pressure directed towards the tight fit,
which pressure increases as a function of the gas flow and when a certain value is reached the auxiliary valve closes against the effect of a force acting in the opening direction on the auxiliary valve (lurking force.
Preferably, both end faces on both sides of the auxiliary valve and the outer diameter of the closure seats are chosen so that even in the closed position of the closure device the pressure of the gas on these surfaces results in a force directed to the auxiliary valve which strives to keep it closed.
The device is preferably further designed in such a way that in the open position of the two valves the gas flows through a constriction on its way through the closing device, whereby the gas flowing through erlei det, which causes a pressure difference at the end faces of the auxiliary valve If a certain value is exceeded, a reaction force is generated on the auxiliary valve, which closes the tight seat.
A preferred embodiment of the terminating device according to the invention is described in more detail with reference to the drawing. The drawing shows a cross section through a closing device which is intended to be connected directly to an oxygen cylinder and, on the other hand, to be connected to a reducing valve. The housing of the device is indicated with 1 . The Ge housing has a conical threaded part 2 which is intended to be screwed into the oxygen tab.
A bore 3 for the gas supply from the oxygen bottle to the - closure organs runs centrally within this very screw thread part 2. This bore 3 opens into a larger bore 4, the axis of which forms a right angle with the axis of the bore 3 , the two axes intersecting.
A bore 5 runs coaxially to the bore 4 with an internal thread 6 for receiving the connection of the reducing valve. This bore 5 merges via a conical part 7 into a narrowed bore 8 , which opens into the drill bit 4 and with a seat at this point 9 is formed for the auxiliary valve 10 .
This auxiliary valve has a hard rubber valve ring 11 and a bore 12, with a further part on the right side according to the drawing and a narrower part on the left S side. The auxiliary valve 10 also has a collar 13 on which a very helical spring 9 14 rests, and on the right side a protruding seat 15. A bushing 16 is inserted into the bore 4.
This bushing has a circumferential groove 17 on its circumference at the point at which the bore 3 opens into the 5 bore 4. A number of bores 18 connect this circumferential groove 17 with the interior of the bushing 16. This bushing also has an inwardly protruding perpendicular to the axis at the left end Collar 19, which is provided with a small number of openings 20, evenly distributed along the outline. The spring 14 lies with its left end on the collar 19. This collar 19 - encloses the auxiliary valve 10 with little play so that it passes through it Collar is guided axially.
The bushing 16 is further provided over part of its length with a very screw thread 21 with a rectangular profile. This thread is preferably seen to be more common and has such a large pitch that the main valve, which will be described in more detail below, is less than Z, than 3600 when its control element is rotated is moved from the fully open to the closed position.
A sleeve 22, which is provided with a corresponding thread on the outside, works with this thread 21. The bush 22 has a cylindrical bolirii # n # - 23 in the left part and a square recess 24 in the right part. As a result of the more convenient fabrication, the bore and recess merge and a cylindrical plate 25 is firmly attached in the cylindrical bore 23 .
A hard gununite plate 26 is attached to this plate 25 .
The actuator lin, -, sor, -, # ail for the valve consists of an actuating shaft 27 with a collar 28 and a square head 29, which is pushed into the square recess 24. The collar 28 rests with its right collar surface against a fiber ring .30 which sits in a locking nut 31 which is screwed into the large bore 4.
With an end part 32 with a screw thread, this locking device 31 engages in a part of the bushing 16 provided with (-f 'thread) in order to hold it in place Shaft 27 is cylindrical and at 33 has two surfaces over which a handle 34 with a suitable opening engages.
A locking ring 35 lies between the handle 34 and a TNI lattice 36, which sits on the threaded end part of the shaft 27 .
In a bore of the locking nut 31 there is a very cube spring 37 which presses the handle 34 outwards and over the locking ring 3, 5 and the nut 36 exerts a force directed to the right on the shaft 27 and thereby presses it to the right, so that the collar 28 seals against the Fiberring 30 is pressed.
As will be described in more detail, the gas pressure also acts to the right on the collar 28 in order to improve the sealing by the fiber ring 30 .
The method of operation of the device is as follows: The oxygen, which is under high pressure (e.g. 150 at), exerts through a number of filtering gauzes 38, bore 3, < / B> Groove 17 and radial bores 18 on the entire space within the bush 16 between your seat 9 of the Auxiliary valve 10 and the collar 28 a pressure.
If one now intends to let the gas flow out, one rotates the handle 34 in the correct sense by an angle which is smaller than 36011, whereby the shaft 27 with the collar 28 > and the square head 29 over the same angle. The square head 29 , through the cooperation with the square recess 24, takes the bush 2.2 with it during this rotation, which pushes the bush 22 to the right and the plates. 2.5 and 26 .
At the auxiliary valve 10 there is the same pressure everywhere against the seats 9 and 15 . Therefore, since the seat 15 has a smaller outer diameter than the seat 9 , the gas in the closed position of the device causes a leftward force on the auxiliary valve 10 exercised. If the sleeve 22 moves to the right, the auxiliary valve 10 stops in the position shown.
The hard rubber plate 26 moves, but now also look to the right and move away from the seat 15 and the gas can flow through the narrow bore 12 after the bore 5 and flow from there into the reducing valve.
The full gas pressure now also acts on the vacated seat 15, so that the auxiliary valve is pressed even more firmly against the seat 9 , namely without being damaged by the spring 14, which strives is to push the auxiliary valve to the right and for the time being - in spite of the growing pressure - in the bore 5. However, the pressure in the bore 5 is due to the amount of gas , which flows through the narrow bore 12, increased significantly, then the pressure on the auxiliary valve 10 decreases so that finally the spring 14 succeeds in
move the auxiliary valve to the right and therefore release seat 9 . This prevents the. When the closing device is opened, a strong pressure surge is immediately noticeable in the reducing valve.
The hill valve 10 with its seat 15 now reaches the plateau 26 again and the gas can flow in larger quantities through the annular groove 17, the bores 18 and flow through the bores 20 along your seat 9 to the reducing valve. If a pipe breaks or a defect occurs in the reducing valve, a very considerable amount of gas could escape in a short time.
The small number of relatively narrow openings 20 in the collar 19 of the liner 16 then causes a very strong throttling of the outflowing gas, which is significantly higher due to the pressure on the right side of these openings is called the print on the left. As a result, the balance of the forces on the auxiliary valve 10 is disturbed and the gas on the right-hand surfaces of the same acts with a greater pressure to the left on the auxiliary valve than the force that the gas on the left of the opening 20 does on the Valve exerts.
The resultant of the gas pressure pushes the auxiliary valve tightly against the action of the spring 14 again in its closed position, which prevents too much gas from being lost and the gas flowing out from causing a disaster.
If the pressure in the bottle is significantly lower than at the beginning, because the bottle has already released gas for some time, then the pressure will drop less when the gas flows out through the openings 20 in absolute terms, which causes the auxiliary valve 10 delayed after the seat is moved back.
In order to achieve greater uniformity in the social speed of the auxiliary valve 10 and in general to have the auxiliary valve 10 close at the same speed every time a gas blows, the throttling of the gas during the flow of the Dureli can be used between the auxiliary valve and the tight seat 9 use. You then have to open the main valve more when the pressure in the bottle is low and vice versa. For the rotation of the handle z.
B. a scale graduation can be provided, which indicates a number of pressures, ge if necessary a locking device is attached for certain pressures.
Instead of the openings 20 in the collar 19 , a narrow and throttling passage could be left between the bushing 16 and the bore 4, namely from the groove 17 > up to the end face of the liner 16 in the vicinity of the fixed seat 9. This can also be achieved by means of a local groove or by means of the liner 16 </ B> can be achieved in the hole. In the illustrated exemplary embodiment, too, the bushing does not need to lie with a tight fit in the bore 4, which is a great advantage for production.
