Thermostatisch gesteuertes Regelventil, insbesondere Dampfwasserableiter

Thermostatically controlled regulating valve, especially steam water drain
The invention relates to a thermostatically controlled control valve for liquids in the vicinity of the evaporation point, in particular a steam water drain, with a thermostat provided on the higher pressure side, which pulls the closure piece against the valve seat when the temperature rises.
Thermostatically controlled control valves of this type are generally designed so that at saturated steam temperature the thermoelastic force of the thermostat is sufficient to apply the required sealing force against the opening force resulting from the static pressure distribution on the closure piece. It is a known disadvantage of these control valves that the thermostat has to be set in such a way that significant undercooling is necessary. to open the control valve.
The object of the invention is therefore to eliminate the great undercooling required in the known control valves of this type. This object is achieved according to the invention in that a narrow throttle gap is provided in the flow channel behind the shut-off point in a manner known per se, which is formed by the closure piece on the one hand and the housing or a part firmly connected to this on the other hand, and a spherical closure piece and a cylindrical drainage channel with the following ratios of the diameter of the drainage channel DV, diameter of the closure piece Dr.
Diameter of the valve seat DS and valve lift ho can be used when the temperature changes from 200C to 1000C:

depending on its undercooling, from the throttle gap to the narrowest point between the valve seat and the closing piece. The pressure cushion between the throttle gap and the valve seat collapses so that the thermostat is able to close the control valve abruptly.
The drawings illustrate an exemplary embodiment of the invention; FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of the control valve according to the invention in the form of a steam water drain and

Fig. 2 shows the design of the closure piece and the drain hole of this steam water trap.
A thermostat 2 is arranged in the housing 1 of the arrester, one side of which is supported against a housing part 3, and the other side is connected to a closure piece 5 via a valve stem 4. The condensate enters the diverter through an inflow bore 6 and continues through bores 7 provided in the housing part 3 and reaches the closing element consisting of valve seat 8 and closure piece 5. When the trap is open, the condensate flows after passing the valve seat 8 through an annular gap 9 which is located between the closure piece 5 and the wall of the drainage channel 10.
The diameters of the valve seat Ds, the closing piece DV and the drainage channel DA are dimensioned in such a way that the evaporation occurring when the condensate is released, as long as the condensate is sufficiently subcooled below the saturated steam temperature, only occurs behind the annular gap 9 between the closing piece 5 and the wall of the drainage channel 10 he follows. If the temperature of the condensate approaches the saturated steam temperature, the closure piece 5 is moved towards the valve seat 8 by the action of the thermostat 2, the evaporation point migrating into the vicinity of the valve seat 8.
The forces acting on the closure piece 5 in the opening sense decrease suddenly and approach the static valve forces in the closed state.
