Plug-in coupling for household kitchen machines The invention relates to a plug-in coupling for releasably connecting the drive shaft of a household kitchen machine to the connection shaft of an implement to be driven by this machine, each of the two shafts having a coupling half at its end, at least one of which is made of a non-metallic material , in particular a pressed plastic part, consists and is detachably connected to its shaft.
With devices of the type mentioned, it can happen that the tool is overloaded during operation as a result of improper treatment and is even suddenly braked, for example by inserting a spoon or the same into the area of rotating work tools. As a rule, this means that damage occurs to the device that requires repairs in a workshop, so that the device fails for some time at the point of use.
The mentioned disadvantage can be eliminated if, according to the invention, a non-metallic coupling half is weakened at least at one point in such a way that it breaks at this point if the implement is excessively loaded, so that the power-transmitting connection between the two shafts ceases .
Shear pin couplings are also known as shaft couplings, in which a pin connecting the shaft is sheared when overloaded. Reinstalling a new break bolt is. relatively cumbersome and difficult and can only be carried out properly by a specialist.
The inventive design of one coupling half is a very simple and cheap overload protection create ge. Furthermore, the advantage, which is particularly important for household kitchen machines, is achieved that the broken coupling part can be removed by simply pouring it out and replaced by the owner of the device in a few simple steps, so that undesirably long operational interruptions can easily be avoided.
In the following description, an exemplary embodiment is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. It shows: Fig. 1 a household kitchen appliance with a connection device that can be plugged onto it, partly in section,
Fig.'2 is a longitudinal section through a coupling half along line II-II of Fig.3. 3 shows a plan view of the coupling half shown in FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 shows a cross section along line IV-IV of FIG.
In the housing 1 of the household kitchen machine there is an unspecified electric motor whose armature shaft 2 has a coupling half 3 carries. A mixing cup 4 forms the connection device to be driven by the food processor, the connection shaft 5 of which carries the mating coupling half 6. To connect the device 4, the base 7 of the same is inserted into a matching recess 8 in the motor housing, the coupling halves 3, 6 interlocking.
The hitch half 3 shown in more detail in Figs. 2 to 4 is made of pressed plastic and consists in detail of a base plate 9 with a hub 10 and opposing and radially arranged to the hub drive vanes 11. The hub 10 has a square hole 12 which fits onto the correspondingly square end of the armature shaft 2. In an axial Ge threaded bore of the shaft 2 is made of Iso lierstoff screw 13; einehraubt, through the head of which the coupling half 3 is held in its operating position on the shaft 2 in an easily detachable manner.
After loosening the screw, the coupling half can easily be pulled off the shaft.
The corners of the square hole 12 are arranged in the hub 10 in such a way that they lie between the attachment points of the driver vanes 11. As a result, the cross section of the hub 10 is weakened at four points at which the coupling half 3 can break if the connection device 4 is overloaded.
When the device 4 is connected to the food processor 1, the driver wings 11 engage in corresponding recesses: the counter coupling half 6 and thus establish the coupling connection.
