B. Monäthanolamin, in wässrige Lösung gebracht.
Als Lösungsmittel können verwendet werden: niedere Alkohole, wie Propanol oder Isopropanol; mehrwertige Alkohole, wie Äthylenglykol, Propylenglykol, Butylenglykol oder Glycerin;
Dr. A. Berger Die Farbe , Band 8, 1959, Heft 4-6): 127,4 (mit 3 g) bzw.

For R, for example, the dodecyl, tetradecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl and dososyl radicals are mentioned as C "i-C22-alkyl radicals. C, o-C22-alkenyl radicals are the tetradecenyl, hexadecenyl and octadecenyl radicals.
For M, the sodium or potassium atom in particular, the magnesium and calcium atom as the alkaline earth atom and the ammonium group itself and the ammonium groups derived from mono-, di- or triethanolamine come into consideration as alkaline earth atoms.
For R6, C 1 -C 8 -alkyl radicals optionally substituted by a hydroxy or a carbonamide group are, for example, methyl. Ethyl, i-propyl, sec-butyl radical, the carbonamidomethyl, 2-hydroxyethyl and the 1-hydroxypropyl (2) group called.
The anion X- are especially halide ions, such as the chloride, bromide, iodide ion, the anions of acidic alkyl sulfuric acid esters, such as methyl sulfate and ethyl sulfate ion, toluenesulfonic acid ion, acetate and formation. The oxyalkylation products of the formula I or their quaternization products are obtainable by various reactions known per se, eg.
B. by sulfating oxethylated fatty amines with chlorosulfonic acid, sulfuric acid or amidosulfonic acid, 1 to 2 moles of sulfating agent being used per mole of oxethylated fatty amine, and the sulfation product is then optionally quaternized.
Alkoxylated N-alkylaminoethanesulfonic acids are also prepared, for example, by reacting fatty amines with the sodium salt of hydroxyethanesulfonic acid at 2S0 C and reacting the sodium salt of N-alkylaminoethanesulfonic acid obtained in a known manner with alkylene oxides, such as ethylene oxide or propylene oxide.
The alkoxylation product can then by known methods with quaternizing agents such as alkyl halides, eg. B. methyl iodide, isopropyl bromide, chloroacetamide, 2-chloroethanol, 2-chloroethanesulphonic acid, 2-bromoethanesulphonic acid, 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropanesulphonic acid and benzyl chloride,
Dialkylsulfuric acid esters, e.g. B. dimethyl sulfate or alkylene oxides, e.g. B. ethylene oxide, are quaternized. A preferred process for preparing the quaternization products is to implement fatty amines or N-alkyl-fatty amines with alkylene oxides and then to react the alkoxylation products obtained with haloalkanesulfonic acid salts, e.g.
B. the sodium salt of chloroethanesulphonic acid, bromoethanesulphonic acid or 1-chloro-2-hydroxypropanesulphonic acid to quaternize. The preparation of quaternized oxalkylation products of N-alkyl-taurine is described in Belgian patent specification 566 167, for example.

By adding at least one compound of formula 1, the white maximum that can be achieved with a whitener of the stilbene series when using known methods is greatly increased. This fact is particularly advantageous for whiteners, which usually do not achieve their full whiteness maximum with simple application methods such as the Klotz drying process, as they tend to turn green prematurely.
The white tones obtained are also characterized by an improved degree of whiteness and increased brilliance.
It was also found that the addition of a compound of formula 1 to whitener liquor has a stabilizing effect on the whitener solution in an acidic and neutral environment, especially in the presence of salts, for example from the alkali and alkaline earth series. This property is of particular interest in whiteners, which are sensitive to salts and; or hardeners.
Compounds of formula 1 also make it possible to some extent to use whiteners in an acidic environment without clouding the liquor. as is otherwise the case, for example, with the whitener of the formula IV (R ,, R3 = phenylamino, R, R, = amino) when tinting white polyamide with the addition of stabilized hydrosulfite.
Furthermore, it has been found that compounds of formula 1 are suitable for the production of liquid formulations of stilbene-type whites, which can be used in the process according to the invention instead of powder marks.
From DT-PS 1 206 296 liquid adjustments of whiteners of the bis-triazinvlamino-stilbene-disulfonic acid series and their use for paper treatment are known. Here z. B. alkali salts of these whiteners by adding a readily soluble in water organic solubilizer, z. B. Monethanolamine, brought into aqueous solution. However, no improvement in the degree of whiteness is achieved by using these liquid settings.
The use of amine oxalkylation products free of SO3M groups in processes for whitening cellulose fibers is known from GB-PS 986 338 and 1000 825 and US-PS 3,025,242. In the US patent who describes the liquid settings of the bis-triazinylamino-stilbene-disulfonic acid series, which contain alkanolamines, as in the above-mentioned German patent.
According to the teaching of the two British patents, oxyalkylated amines in the form of salts bound to the sulfonic acid groups of the whiteners are used to whiten cellulose. However, the improvements described above are not achieved with these dye liquors.
The use of the compounds to be used according to the invention in dyeing processes is already known.
From DT-OS 1 901 411 the use of these products in the continuous dyeing of polyester textile materials with disperse dyes is known. The means be an equalization and a reservation of other fibers when dyeing mixed fibers.
DT-OS 1 940 178 describes the use of the products to be used according to the invention in dyeing nitrogen-containing fibers with acid dyes and 1: 2 metal complex dyes as leveling auxiliaries, while CH-PS 478 951 describes their use in dyeing wool 1: 2 metal complex dyes, which are free from acidic water-solubilizing groups, is known.
Depending on the type of whitener, it can be of advantage for the formation that the product is incorporated either in the form of the free acid or in the form of an alkali or ammonium salt.
For example, 10-60 parts by weight of a compound of the formula I or a mixture of such compounds together with about 5-30 parts by weight of one of the whiteners with the addition of 0-50 parts by weight of water and / or 0-50 parts by weight of a hydrophilic organic solvent are used.
The following solvents can be used: lower alcohols such as propanol or isopropanol; polyhydric alcohols such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol or glycerine;
Ether alcohols, such as ethylene glycol monomethyl, monoethyl, monopropyl or monobutyl ether; Propylene glycol; various non-high molecular weight polyglycols; likewise carboxamides, such as formamide or dimethylformamide. Likewise, mixtures of these compounds can be used instead of individual ones of these compounds.
Furthermore, it is often advantageous to add inorganic or organic acids, such as hydrochloric acid or acetic acid, to the formation. During the forming process, depending on the type of whitener, auxiliary or solvent mixture used, it can be expedient to work at a temperature of 20 to about 100.degree. Mainly between 30 and 60 C is used.
The inventive method is suitable for whitening Ccllulose and nitrogen-containing fiber materials, such as synthetic polyamides, z. B. hexamethylene diadipate or poly-r-caprolactam, and natural polyamides such as wool and silk.
Example 1 I g of the whitener of the formula IV (R ,, R3 = diethanol amino, R2, R, = p-sulfophenylamino) is dissolved in 1 liter of water and, after adding 3 or 5 g of product A described below, a Cotton poplin strips padded there with (Abyuetsche effect 8011) and dried at 100 C.
The result is brilliant, slightly red-tinged white tones. Degree of whiteness according to Berger (see Dr. A. Berger Die Farbe, Volume 8, 1959, Issue 4-6): 127.4 (with 3 g) or 128.4 (with 5 g). A comparatively treated cotton strip without the addition of the auxiliary results in a much duller, greenish white according to the method indicated above. Whiteness 120.5.
An equally good white as above is obtained if the whitener and auxiliaries are previously adjusted to form a homogeneous liquid and 10 g / 1 dye bath is added.
The formation is produced by dissolving 1 part of the whitener as the sodium salt with 3 parts of the product A after adding 6 parts of deionized water with stirring at 50 C. Example 2 1 g of the whitener of the formula IV (R ,, R3 = diethanolamino , R2 R ,, = m-sulfophenylamino) is padded with 3 g / l of product B analogously to Example 1 and dried. Whiteness 128.2. Without the addition of the auxiliary whiteness 124.6.
The same effects are achieved when 8 g / l of a formulation is used, which is produced as follows: 1 part of the whitener as sodium salt is dissolved with 3 parts of product B with the addition of 4 parts of deionized water at 60-80 ° C. Example 3 1 g of the whitening device of the formula IV (R1, R3 = methoxy, R2, R, = phenylamino) is padded with 1.3 g of product C as in Example 1 and dried.
Whiteness 121.5; without the addition of the auxiliary white grade 119.4.
The same effects are obtained when 10 g of the following formulation are used: 1 part of the whitener as sodium salt is mixed with 1.3 parts of product C with the addition of 5.2 parts of DMF and 2.5 parts of deionized water at 70-80 C solved.
Example 4 0.6, 1.2, 1.8 and 2.4 g of the whitener of the formula V (R1, R3 = phenyl, R2, R4 = H) as the sodium salt are each Weil with the addition of 3.5 times the amount of product A dissolved in 1 liter of water. Cotton poplin strips are padded and dried here, as indicated in Example 1.
For comparison, solutions of the whitener with the same active ingredient are padded without the addition of the auxiliary agent.
