Additional patent to main patent no. 326963 Process for the production of metallizable polyazo dyes It has been found that valuable metalizable polyazo dyes are obtained if 1 mol of a disazo compound of the composition is used
EMI0001.0009
where both R are residues of the benzene series, one of which is in the para position to the azo <,
1 group an amino group and the other in para position to the azo group a substituent which can be converted into the amino group,
For example, the nitro group or an easily saponifiable aeylamino group and which also have a substituent which is capable of forming metal complexes and optionally also further substituents in the ortho position to the azo group, in which a 1 for hydrogen,
the other Y for -S0313 and y for hydrogen or a substituent, preferably for -S03H, are diazotized, the diazo compound with 1 mole of an aminoazo compound of the composition
EMI0001.0041
1 {pelt, in which z is a substituent capable of forming metal complexes, preferably -01-I or -C001 = 1,
and v are optionally further substituted alkyl, aralkyl, cyeloalky 1 or aryl, and the nucleus A can further contain substituents, in the resulting tetrakisazo compound the substituents which can be converted into the amino group are converted into the amino group,
this is diazotized and the now present diazotetrakis-azo compound is coupled with 1 mol of an amino-azo compound of the composition (II). The conversion of the convertible into an amino group in the amino group, z.
B. the reduction of the nitro group to the amino group is carried out with the help of, for example, ', \ Tatriumsulfid or Na.triumsulf- 1ry Brat, the saponification of the Aeylaminogiuippe in acid or alkali. Leight saponifiable aylamino groups are, for example, the @oi m;
@ -1-, acetyl, oxallyl, carbomethoxy, and calcium ethoxyainino groups.

are dissolved in 50 parts of water and 2 parts of soda. One transfers. the solution with 0.7 parts of sodium nitrite and drip. now slowly to a mixture of 10 parts hydrochloric acid and 50 parts ice.
The diazodisazo compound formed is diazotized in a solution of 5.2 parts of the acidic coupling. 2-Amino-1-oxy-4-methylsulfonylbenzene with 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid obtained monoazo compound, 150 parts of water, 10 parts of a Pvridinbasengemisehes and 50 parts of aqueous ammonia given.
The nitrotetrakisazo compound that forms is converted into the aminotetrakisazo compound by adding dropwise a solution of 2.5 parts of sodium sulfate in 12.5 parts of water at 60 °. The solution is mixed with 0.7 parts of sodium nitrite and added dropwise to a mixture of 20 parts of hydrochloric acid and 100 parts of ice.
The mixture containing the diazotetrakis azo compound formed is mixed with a solution of 5.2 parts of the acidic coupling of diazotized 2-amino-1-oxy-4-methylsulfonylbenzene with 2-phenyl-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-stilfonic acid obtained borrowed monoazo compound, 100 parts of water, 10 parts of sodium hydroxide solution and 25 parts of a Pyridinebasengemiselies added.
After some time, the resulting 1-lexakisazo dye is completely separated from the coupling compound with Koehsalz, then filtered off and, if necessary, purified. It is a dark powder, which is full of trees and fibers from regenerated cellulose according to the one or two bath Naelic coupling method in gray tones of very good warmth,
Visibility and lightness colors.
