Installation to pervibrate concrete For a number of years, concrete has been subjected to vibration with a view to accelerating its solidification, increasing its compactness and mechanical resistance, improving its homogeneity and reducing shrinkage and cracking, reducing its permeability as well as the effects of cold.
At the beginning of the application of this process, the formworks were vibrated, while today, according to the progress of modern technology, pneumatic or electric vibrators are immersed directly in the mass of concrete. called pervibrators.
These pervibrators are driven in, then withdrawn alternately from the mass of concrete, work carried out with the arms of men and requiring one or two men per device depending on their weight and dimensions.
The object of the invention is an installation intended to mechanically and rationally carry out this work, in particular in cases where large masses of concrete are to be pervibrated, such as for example during the construction of dams for the development of forces. hydraulic.
This installation is characterized by a gantry intended during use, to be placed so that its span overhangs the mass of concrete to be pervibrated, its uprights being outside it, by a carriage supported by the span. from the gantry and from which is suspended a battery of pervibrators intended to be immersed simultaneously and vertically in the mass of fresh concrete and by devices synchronized and adjustable at will to control the upward and downward movements of the pervibrators as well as the movement of the cart and
gantry, the first in the direction of the span of the gantry and the gantry itself parallel to the longitudinal sides of the concrete block to be pervibrated, ie perpendicular to its main axis.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view.
Fig. 2 is a side or transverse view.
Fig. 3 is a view from above of the removable frame. and adjustable to which the pervibrators are suspended.
Fig. 4 is a fragmentary view, detail <I> of A, </I> on a larger scale, of the frame shown in fig. 3. The installation shown comprises a metal lattice gantry 1, the span of which can also be made as a solid-web section depending on the case of economy and the weight of the battery put into action and whose uprights 2 and 3 are capable of being moved perpendicular to the axis of the gantry, respectively on the edge of a finished concrete block B and on the walkway of a formwork C inside which the concrete must be placed M, adjacent to completed block B.
A trolley 4 comprising a cabin 5, driver's seat, and a movable platform 6 capable of moving from one end to the other of the bay 7 of the gantry 1. This platform 6 supports a motor 9 actuating a winch 8, the free strands 10 of which support a removable and adjustable frame 11 from which the pervibrators 12 arranged in a battery are suspended and intended to be driven vertically into the mass of concrete.
The uprights 2 and 3, which are formed as well as the span 7 by a lique metal frame in a lattice, have, seen from the side, fig. 2, the shape of an inverted U. Each of them is mounted on a chassis 13 equipped with four axles 14, possibly two depending on the load, carrying four pneumatic wheels 15 aligned and guided by a rolling track 16 consisting of a U-shaped metal slide with a widened base and inclined sides. in folded and reinforced sheet metal.
On each of the frames 13 is, in addition, mounted a crank mechanism 17 intended to control the transverse movement of the gantry 1, as well as a platform 18 for the man responsible for operating this mechanism 17 and two adjustable shoes. in height 19 disposed at both ends of the frame 13, intended to block and immobilize the gantry 1 during the vibration operations.
The upright 2 is permanently fixed on the cross member 7, while the upright 3 is assembled in an adjustable manner along the latter, allowing the free span of the por tic to be adapted to the width of the block to be concreted and to be subjected to pervibration. The carriage 4 moves on the cross member 7 by means of rolling rollers 20 which roll inside U-shaped sections 21.
Its advance along the latter is achieved by known means not shown, for example by an endless cable or a rack actuated by a motor, or by means of gears and pinions actuated by a motor.
The operator installed in the cabin 5 also disposes of means, also not shown, for immobilizing the carriage 4 on the cross member 7 and automatically and at will adjust the travel distances of the carriage on the latter. The frame 11 supporting the pervibrators 12 consists of four metal beams 22 and 23 assembled at right angles and two spacers 24.
In addition, two crossbars 25 and 26 are removably attached (fig. 4) to the beams 23 which have a series of holes 27 allowing these crossbars 28 to be placed in various positions in order to be able to balance the frame 11 and l. 'Adapt during use to the number of pervibrators put into service. In the <RTI
ID = "0002.0036"> fig. 3, it has been shown the positions which the sleepers 25 and 26 should occupy in the event that three pervibrators, shown in dotted lines, would be put into service simultaneously.
If we. used four pervibrators, these would be suspended according to the solid line arrangement of the same fig. 3.
If we suppose that the area of a block to be pervibrated is rectangular, the small sides of this area being designated by a1 and a2, the large sides by b1 and b2, the placement of the installation and the vibration of the concrete are carried out as follows: The tracks 16 are placed, one on the hardened concrete of block B, parallel to the sides b1 and b2, possibly even fixed to the concrete using means provided for this purpose,
the other is placed on the service walkway of the formwork panel, then the gantry is brought and placed in the vicinity of the side al at the end of the sides b1 and b2 so that the cross member 7 of the gantry overhangs the surface concrete and the carriage is placed at one end of the gantry span.
In these respective positions of the gantry and the carriage, the operator installed in the control box 5 actuates the winch so as to lower the pervibrators in the mass of fresh concrete up to 3/4 of their height.
After a period of time which depends on the consistency of the concrete and its granulometric composition, but which is relatively short, the operator removes the pervibrators from the mass which is now pervibrated and moves the trolley supporting the battery of vibrators d 'a distance determined in advance and which depends on the range of action of these to start the same operation again.
By design and construction, all these movements are synchronized and the duration of each of them is adjustable at will and in advance, as well as the intervals or the distances between two positions of the carriage in the longitudinal direction of the gantry, like the transverse displacement of the latter parallel to the sides b1 and b2.
The carriage having traveled the entire length of the span of the gantry by performing the various movements as provided above, the gantry is moved along sides b1 and b2 by a length to be determined according to the size of the battery of pervibrators as well as the treated surface and the synchronized and regulated operations and movements automatically start again in this second and new position of the gantry and so on until the slice or layer of concrete, the thickness of which can vary by 30 at 100 centimeters is completed.
As in the case of the construction of dams, the blocks consist of several layers, the operations as described above for the execution of a layer follow one another until the block is completed, the heights of which vary according to plans and specifications from 1.50 to 3.20 meters, total height of the concrete block.
The pervibration operation as indicated above therefore follows at a regular and precise interval the rate of placement of the concrete, the latter being placed by known methods such as by blondes, conveyor belts, distribution tower, etc.
When the block is concreted and pervibrated, the gantry is dismantled or moved for its use in another block.
