Fig. 5) oder an der Unterseite (vgl.
Dry gas meter The invention relates to a dry gas meter with inlet and outlet nozzles on the housing, in which one nozzle opens directly inside the housing and the other is connected by a connecting piece to a collecting space belonging to the measuring mechanism.
The invention consists in that the inlet and outlet nozzles are combined to form a double connection piece in which the inlet and outlet ducts lie coaxially one inside the other.
Such an arrangement enables a tension-free connection of the gas meter to a pipe provided with a corresponding double connection. connector.
By means of a double connection piece arranged on the meter housing, the meter can be connected to the pipe connection piece in any orientation (rotation), e.g. B. screwed by a union nut. A narrow gas meter results in a more pleasing appearance and an even weight distribution.
The axis of the double connection piece is arranged in the plane of symmetry of the housing. A particularly simple and expedient arrangement results when the inner pipe socket is connected to the outlet manifold by a connecting piece.
Such a connecting piece can easily be attached so that it opens into the outlet collecting duct between the control valves, so that attaching the connecting piece does not require any enlargement of the measuring mechanism. It is even possible to mount the shaft of the control slide crank in the connecting piece and thereby make additional bearing blocks that were previously common unnecessary.
In Figs. 1 to 3 three different embodiments of the invention are shown schematically. Fig. 4 to 6 show, for example, different connection arrangements of gas meters.
In the wall 1 of the gas meter housing (see. Fig. 1), a pipe socket 2 is soldered in its plane of symmetry, which holds a union nut 3. From a box-shaped sheet metal part 4, which is attached to the housing wall 1 below the pipe socket 2, a space 6 closed off from the housing space 5 is formed. A coaxial to the pipe socket 2, ge from the sleeve part 4 carried pipe socket 7 opens by penetrating the space 6 in the housing interior 5. The space 6 is via a connecting piece 8 with the outlet collecting duct 9 of the measuring mechanism, not shown.
The coaxial pipe sockets 2, 7 end in a common die surface 10.
The double connection piece 2, 7 is screwed through the union nut 3 to the pipe connection piece that has not been clarified. The gas enters the housing interior 5 in the direction of the arrow through the inner pipe socket 7 and leaves the meter after the measurement through the connecting piece 8, the space 6 and the outer pipe socket 2.
The flow resistance of the meter is not increased by the coaxial arrangement of inlet and outlet connections (2, 7).
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the inner pipe socket 7 ′ is connected to the outlet collecting duct 9 by an S-shaped connecting piece 11 which is inserted gas-tight by means of a pinch seal 12. A baffle plate 13 shielding the measuring mechanism is attached to the connecting piece 11. The gas flowing in here through the outer pipe socket 2 hits the baffle plate 13 and is prevented by this from depositing dust and other contaminants on the control mechanism 14 of the measuring unit.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, a hood-like connecting piece 15 is provided between the outlet collecting channel 9 and the inner pipe socket 7 ', which sits between the two usual mussel slides of the metering valve, not shown here. A baffle plate 13 ′ is fastened here to the housing wall 1 and is penetrated by the connecting piece 15.
The crankshaft 16 of the slide control is mounted in the connecting piece 15 and is made gas-tight, so that the usual bearing brackets can be saved.
Normally, the Doppelanschlūstut: en, as shown in Fig. 4, arranged above in the middle of the meter housing l so that the selector can be screwed hanging with any orientation on the pipe connector 17 by means of a nut 3.
However, you can also use the double connection piece on the rear side (cf.Fig. 5) or on the underside (cf.
Fig. 6) of the meter housing 1 attach if the spatial conditions make it necessary.
In all of the exemplary embodiments described, the axis of the double connection piece is arranged in a plane of symmetry of the housing.
