The well-known tap galleries for gas appliances usually have a
Gas pipe into which the gas taps are screwed with special threaded connectors,
a gas tap support and a cover, which covers the whole front, so that
only the knobs or handles on the front of the gas apparatus are visible. The gas taps
consist of pressed blanks and require a cumbersome and time-consuming
Manufacturing. The taps are screwed into the pipe with the threaded connector, what
easily leads to leaks. To avoid this and a better thread seal
nipples have also been welded or soldered into pipes.
These disadvantages are avoided by the subject matter of the invention and at the same time time and material are saved in production and easy cleaning options are created. This is done in that the diaphragm is designed as a gas-carrying channel. Since the panel is stiffened in this type of construction, its walls can be kept thin. Spacers are placed between the walls so that the orifice gas duct is not compressed when the gas tap is screwed on. These spacers can be loose, welded or soldered to the diaphragm gas duct on one or both sides. You get tabs that hold the valve housing and egg - make n turning in the gas passage impossible. The gas tap housing, which was previously made from press moldings, can now be made from bar stock on automatic machines. All other processing is then omitted. The other parts can also be manufactured on machines, so that the new gas tap is considerably cheaper than the old gas made from blanks, ahn. In addition, the gas supply for the individual gas taps in the orifice gas duct is more favorable than in a pipe, in which the inflow of the gas in the gas cock takes place at right angles to the gas flow, while the orifice duct has a relatively large cross-section and the inflow of the gas in the gas tap takes place parallel to the gas flow. This is of great advantage at low gas pressures, since the pressure losses of the gas in the orifice channel are almost equal to zero .
