Insulating Container Known insulating containers consist of a double-walled glass ampoule contained in a metal casing or of rigid molded material. Despite the precautions taken to insert, between these two elements: bulb and casing, damping elements such as corrugated cardboard sheath and cork stopper, the shocks received by the casing are transmitted to the ampoule and risk being damaged. to break.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback.
It relates to an insulating container, such as for example an insulating bottle, comprising an insulating bulb placed in a protective envelope, which is characterized in that the envelope is made of flexible plastic material.
The protective casing may have flexible projections on the inside which keep the insulating bulb spaced from the outer wall of this casing, which makes it possible to form an insulating air layer around the bulb, and to better protect this insulating bulb. am pool against external shocks.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the insulating container according to the invention constituted by an insulating bottle.
Fig. 1 is a front view, in section of the bottle; fig. 2 is a cross section along a-a of FIG. 1 from the bottle; fig. 3 is a section along b-b of FIG. 1 from the bottom of the envelope.
The insulating bottle shown in Figs. 1 to 3 comprises the following essential elements a) a bulb 3 of known type made of glass or ordinary double-walled; b) an envelope, formed of a flexible sheath and a bottom 5, and made of a plastic material such as for example polyethylene, which is molded by injection at a temperature in the region of 280 degrees.
This sheath 1 has a generally cylindrical shape, with, at its upper part a narrowed portion 4 forming a neck, and bears by an end lip against the neck of the hen so as to form a drip tip opposing the introduction. of liquid between the sheath and the bulb.
Internally, the sheath 1 has longitudinal ribs 2 arranged radially which, owing to their small section, are flexible.
The bulb 3 bears against these flexible ribs 2 (fig. 2). The bottom of the envelope is assembled by its rim 9 either permanently or in a removable manner with the sheath.
The base 5 is provided with ribs 6 forming an integral part and arranged peripherally inside the base 5. They have a shape such that they support at their upper part the molded base 7 of the bulb 3 and leave the center of the base 5 a space for the queusot 8 closed after having made a vacuum between the walls of the bulb 3.
These ribs ensure the wedging of the bottom of the bulb 3 and absorb any shocks that the latter could undergo.
A cap 11 ensures the watertight closure of the ampoule and, in order to protect it and the neck of the ampoule 3, a cup 10 is fixed on the neck 4 of the case.
The fixing means can be produced by providing inside the cup 10 an annular groove and on the neck 4 of the case an annular rib 12.
By pressing on the cup, the rib is engaged in the groove and thus ensures the cup a perfect adhesion, .and therefore the sealing of the case is obtained even in the accidental case of leakage of the liquid contained in the bottle. 3.
Lugs 13 from molding to which a strap 14 will be attached can be provided to allow the bottle to be carried either by hand or over the shoulder.
The outer surface of the sheath 1 can be grained, which makes it easier to grip the bottle, and improves the outer appearance of the whole.
Finally, the plastic material used can be dyed in the mass in bright colors: red, green, blue, white, which make the appearance of the bottle more attractive.
