The present invention relates to a loom equipped with a dobby for the production of woven fabrics with woven, tubular pleated flaps.
In the case of the loom according to the invention, the chain is divided into two slips running down from two chain trees, each of which is assigned to a Seliäftegruppe, and the Keliaftmasehine has four rockers controlled by the sample card, two of which with the Däm.mmvorriehtung of one chain construction - Nies and another one with the insulating device of the other chain tree are connected,
while the last one is connected to an organ for switching on and off the regulator for the fabric feed.
According to the method for operating this loom, which is also in accordance with the invention, the formation of the base fabric lying between two pleated lobes takes place with the participation of the chain threads running down from the two chain structures, while the fabric section serving for the formation of a pleated lobe takes place with the help of the chain threads of one tree is made while keeping the warp threads of the other tree low,
where at the beginning of the production of this fabric section the tension of the chain threads is reduced and at the end of the production it is completely canceled and the fabric section is closed like a hose, where after a subsequent change of subject Lund simultaneous shed formation by the previously low-cut chain threads securing the closed pleated flap and the transition to basic tissue formation takes place.
In contrast to the known pleated blinds, which are produced with special pleating machines after weaving and are open, according to the invention the pleated blind is produced during the weaving process, with tubular flaps protruding from the fabric surface being formed. These are an integral part of the fabric and therefore cannot be removed by washing.
In the drawing, an example Ausführungsfonn of a loom equipped with a known dobby according to the invention is shown schematically, although it shows: Fig. 1 is a side view of part of the loom and the parts of a dobby that are essential for the demonstration of the operating method in the working phase immediately Before the hose formation of the pleated part, FIG. 2 shows a partial view of FIG. 1 on a larger scale, FIG. 3 shows a partial view corresponding to FIG. 2 at the moment of the hose formation of the pleated part,
FIG. 1 shows the diagram of the weave repeat of a taffeta-bound piece of pleated fabric that can be produced with the loom, FIG. 5 shows the cross-hairs for this, and FIG. 6 shows a cross section. by two pieces of pleated fabric.
The loom shown, working in conjunction with a known sehaft machine, enables the production of fabrics covered with woven-in, loop-like pleated flaps. For this purpose, two chain trees 1, 2 are provided in the loom, which are each under the influence of a Dämmvorriehtung. The latter consist of a dam rope 3 dragging on part of the chain tree, one end of which is anchored to a fixed point 4 and a dam 5 engages at the other end.
For the chain 6, two slips 6a and 6b are required, each of which has half the total number of chain threads. It goes without saying that you can work with a different ratio in the division of the warp threads between the two trees 1, 2. For the Faehbildung two shaft groups 8a and 8b are required, which in the illustrated example each consist of two individual shafts.
The chain threads are drawn into the shafts accordingly in two groups, namely the chain threads 6a in the case shown. of the chain beam 1 alternately drawn into the shafts 8a, and the warp threads 6b of the chain beam 2 alternately drawn into the shafts 8b.
7 with the webstuck, which swings up on the tree 9 and is provided with sclilalich-like pleated flaps 6c running transversely to the chain, and 10 is a resilient ironing plate which is used to smooth the pleated flaps and which rests against the tree with its free end a11.
As from Füg. 4 and 5, all warp threads 6a and 6b are contained in the base fabric sections 6d lying between the flaps 6c of the woven piece, while only half of the warp threads are used in the production of the woven piece sections 6c used to form the pleated flaps 6c,

Both shaft groups Sec and Sb are put into operation for the production of the grungy fabric abutments 6d lying between two pleated lobes 6c, while the wing arms I to IV are in the rest or basic position.
For the production of a pleated section 6c the shaft group Sb is brought into the lower position (Fug. 1.) and during the entire duration of the weaving this section 6e is kept in the lower position so that only the shaft group 8a works.
The shafts 8a., Through which the warp threads Eia coming from the tree 1 are passed, work according to the requirements of the binding of the fabric section for the Plis seelappen 6e.
With the beginning of the lowering of the shafts Sb, the regulator for the pulling-in of the fabric is held by the arm I V from - 'each , and this remains switched off for the duration of the weaving of the section 6c. When the shafts 8b begin to be held down, the rocker 1 is actuated by the sample card chain and thereby the chain tree 1 is insulated
partially geloekeii. Approximately. two shots before the end of the tissue section 6c is affected at the rocker III and there- fore a reinforcement of the insulation of the low chain threads 6b contain the tree \? causes (Fug. 1).
(At the same time as the insulation of the building is strengthened, the swing arm II also comes into action and causes a complete loyalty to the tree 1. At this moment, the direction indicated by arrow e (Fig. 3 ) Providing swinging sley 16 the sehla.ueliför- wige closing of the pleated section 6c be.
With the return movement of the sley the Faehweclisel through the shafts 8a arid at the same time, including the shafts Sb aueb, the formation of the thread through the warp threads 6b, which secures the closed loop flap 6c.
At the same time, the rockers I, 1I, 111 and IV are swiveled back into their rest or basic position, whereby the insulation of the tree 1 is restored to full effect, the reinforcement of the insulation of the tree 2 is canceled again and the regulator for the fabric adjustment is switched on again. The generation of a base fabric section 6d with all four shafts thus begins again.
The beginning and end of the action of the swing arm must be adapted to the respective type of fabric (canvas weave, twill weave, satin weave, etc.). The pleated flaps can be produced in any spacing and in any size, as illustrated in FIG.
The method for producing the fabric provided with pleated lobes with the aid of the loom described thus essentially consists in the formation of the green fabric lying between the pleated lobes with the participation of warp threads running from the two trees 1, 2, during which for the formation of a Plis seelappens serving tissue section with the help of the chain threads of only one tree while keeping the chain threads of the other tree low, with the beginning of the adjustment of this fabric part, the tension of the chain threads of the tree 1 is reduced and completely canceled at the end of the production becomes, which results in a hose-like closure of this tissue part.
The closed pleated flap is secured and the transition to the formation of ground tissue occurs through a subsequent change of subject and simultaneous shed formation through the previously low-cut warp threads.
The fabric produced by this method differs from the previous pleated products in that the pleats are formed by woven-in tubular closed flaps.
