Fig. 8 ist ein elektrisches Schaltschema zu Fig. 7.
nach oben be@vegt.
104 in Berührung steht.
Two brushes 53, 54 are with. the slip rings 51 and 52 in Be contact and are with. connected to a later operated electrical control system.
The brushes 53 and 54 are carried by another disk 56 made of insulating mate rial, which is attached to the inside of the cap 21, and this disk also carries two contact arrangements 57 and 58. The contact arrangements are identical to each other, but rotates against each other ver about one Cam disk 59 is arranged, which is attached to a control end 60 of the shaft extension 26. is. The bottom contact arrangement 57 exists. from a steady contact.
61 L and a movable contact 62, which is pressed with the fixed contact 61 by a spring 63 in contact, which with one end on the disc 56 and with the. the other end is attached to an arm 64 which carries the movable contact 62. A button 65 with. connected to arm 64. is, is with the Noehenscheibe 59 in contact.
The parts of the top >> contact arrangement 58 are identical to those of the bottom contact arrangement 57 and have. of the. the same reference numerals and the index b.
The contact arrangements 57 and 58 are set so that the contacts are closed, except when the button 65 or 65b of the related arrangement comes into engagement with the cam 66 of the cam disk 59.
The main drive device of the sewing machine comprises, in addition to the motor arranged in the housing 13, a clutch 67, a brake 68 and a lever 69 (FIG. 5). The brake 68 is kept in engagement by a spring 70 which pushes the lever 69 into the brake application position. A carrier 71 is rigidly fastened to the lever 69 by means of visors 72 in order together to form a drive lever 73.
On the lever 73, a control lever 75 is pivotally attached by a pivot pin 74, which is connected to a control rod 76 which is attached to a pedal 77 at the other end. The control lever 75 extends between an upper stop 78 and a lower stop 79 which is carried by the drive lever 73 at one of its ends.
A spring 80, which is weaker than the spring 70 acting on the brake 68 and which is attached to the drive lever 73, engages the control lever 75 and usually holds it in a rest position, for example in the - Middle between the stops 78 and 79. An exciter holder 81 is attached to the drive lever 73, and its actuating member 82 engages the control lever 75 in its rest position.
A single-pole double acting selector holder 83 is still attached to the drive lever 73 and its actuating member 84 engages. on the control lever 75. Of course, the lever 75, the holder 81 and S: 3 and the parts 78 and 79 could be attached directly to the lever 69.
The driving foot actuating lever 19 is pivotable along a horizontal axis 86 and a knee pad 87 is adjustable at one end. The other end or the switching end 88 of the lever 19 runs essentially parallel to the top of the table 12 .
A control switch 85 is attached to the switching end 88 of the lever 19 by a support plate 89 and has an actuating member 90 which extends towards the underside of the table top. The switch 85 is. set so that it takes effect when its actuating organ 90 engages after a predetermined pivoting effect of the lever 19 about the axis 86 on the table.
According to the switching section of FIG. 6, alternating current is supplied to a rectifier 92 by a high-voltage switch 91. Both the switch 91 and the balancer 92 are arranged in a box 93,
which is connected to the table 7.2 according to FIG. A line 94 leads from the equalizer 92 directly to the brush 53, which is in contact with the slip ring 51, and also with the electromagnet 44 through a line,
r 95 connected eats. Another line 96 leads. from the rectifier to a contact 97 of the switch 81. The other contact. 98 of the switch 81 is connected to your movable contact 99 _ of the single-pole two-way switch 83 by a Leitrun; - 100.
A fixed contact 101 of the selection switch 83 is with. the fixed contact 61b of the top contact, a.assembly 58 connected by means of a line 103. The other fixed contact 104 of switch 83 is. with the moving contact. 105 of the single-pole two-way control shifter 85 is connected to the lever 19.
A line 106 and the line 103 connect a fixed contact 107 of the switch 85 to the fixed contact 61.b of the top contact arrangement 58, and a line 108 connects. the other fixed contact 109 of the switch 85 with. the fixed contact. 61 of the bottom contact arrangement 57.
The movable contacts 62 and 62b are both connected to the brush 54, which is in contact with the slip ring 52, which in turn is connected to the winding of the electromagnet 44. Capacitors can be used. and resistors (not shown) are used in the usual way to prevent the contacts from sparking.
The operation of the sewing machine drive is easy to understand from the above description. The various ele ments are shown in the drawings that the drive is completely switched off and the pedal 77 is in its rest position.
When sewing is to be started, the operator must operate the main switch 91 and then press the pedal 77 down to move the control rod 7 downwards in the direction of arrow A (FIG. 6) . There. the spring 80 is much weaker than the spring 70., the initial movement of the pedal only causes the control lever 75 to pivot about the pin 74 until it engages the lower stop 79.
During this movement of the control lever 75, the selection switch 83 remains with its movable contact 99 in engagement with the fixed contact 101, as shown in FIG. 6; but since the actuator 82 of the switch 81 moves downward, the contacts 97 and 98 of the exciter switch 81 are opened.
When the energizing switch 81 is open, the contact arrangements 57 and 58 and thus. no current is supplied to the electromagnet 44. and the entire control circuit for stopping the needle in a certain position is shut off. It can be seen that until now the lever 7 3 has not been moved. However, if the control lever 75 engages the lower stop 79,
actuated that further heating of the pedal 77 the lever 73 in the usual way to release the brake 68 and bring the coupling 67 into engagement zLi. Since no energy can be supplied to the electromagnet 44, the compression spring 40 holds the friction disk 29 in engagement, so that the sewing machine is driven in the usual manner.
After completion of the desired sewing process (formation of stitch sequences), the sewing machine is brought to a standstill in that the operator moves the pedal in the usual way with his heels. When the operator moves the pedal 77 upwards at the back, the Control rod 76 against the direction of arrow _l (Fig. 5)
be @ vegt to the top. The control rod: first moves the control lever 75 at its normal working position lying against the lower stop 79 into a braking and control position against the upper stop 78 and then presses the end of the drive lever 73 upwards, and the brake 68 engages bring wel che the string wheel 33 and the drive wheel 29 stops.
The pressure on the pedal through the heels holds the control lever 75 against the upper stop 78, in which position the exciter switch 81 is closed. and the movable contact 99 of the selector switch 83 with the fixed contact. 104 is in contact. The control switch 85 remains in the collar shown in Fig. 6, the con tacts 105 and 109 are in engagement.
It is assumed that the button 65 of the line contact arrangement 57 is not located on the cam 66; then the switches 81 and 83 and the line contacts 61 and 62 close a circuit which excites the electromagnet 44.
It has been established through experiment that the sewing machine described does not operate at full speed. can be brought to a standstill in a very short period of time after the brake 68 is engaged. Furthermore, there is a time lag between the heels controlling the pedal and the energization of the electromagnet 44.
This electrical and mechanical delay is large enough to ensure that the cord 29 and the friction disc 34 are brought to rest by the brake 68 completely or almost completely before the electromagnet 44 is energized to the friction disc 34 of Pull the Schnurra4 29 away and bring it into engagement with the rotating electric magnet 44.
When the friction disk 34 comes into engagement with the electromagnet 44, it is driven by the continuously rotating motor 49 at a constant, reduced cresing speed. The speed of the motor 49 and the speed ratio of the cord connection (48) are such that the motor 49 drives the electromagnet with only a fraction, for example one tenth, of the maximum sewing speed.
The kinetic energy in the machine parts, which you can see at the reduced speed, is only a small fraction of the energy at full sewing speed, and it can therefore be more easily destroyed when the machine is stopped.
After: the friction disc 34 with the elec tromagnet 44 is engaged, who the disc 34 and the drive shaft 16 driven at the reduced speed by the motor 49 until the cam 66 engages the button 65 of the contact arrangement 5 7 and the contacts 61, 62 opens. Where the electrical circuit of the electromagnet 4.3 is interrupted.
The spring 40 then guides the friction friction 34 back into engagement with the braked tendon disk 29, which brings the shaft 16 to a standstill instantaneously. Noticed. Let it be that the cam 66 has such a length that the contacts 61 and 62 are kept open until the magnetic flux of the electromagnet 44 collapses to release the friction disc 34 and allow it to have the braked cord disc 29 to engage.
Furthermore, the suspension of the cam 66 is selected such that the button 65 remains on the cam 66 for so long only when the speed of the arm shaft 16 is at most equal to the speed of the electromagnet 44 and, as a result, the kinetic energy remaining in the moving parts remains until the shaft 16 is braked to a standstill by the stationary Sehnurseheibe 29. is.
It has been determined from experiments that the required angle of rotation of the drive shaft 16 in order to stop the machine from the speed of the electromagnet 44 to zero can be determined beforehand and is constant for a given sewing machine. is.
Therefore, by arranging the contact arrangement 57 in the correct angular position with respect to the corrugation 16, the needle bar can be stopped in each case in a predetermined position.
In the present embodiment, the contact arrangement 57 is such that it stops the shaft 16 and thus the needle rod 14 when the needle 15 is in the lower position, ie in the workpiece.
The top contact assembly 58 is actuated by the cam 66 in the same manner as the bottom contact assembly 57. and controls the electromagnet 4-l in the same way. With the present:
lusführ'tmg is the top -contaltanordnttn-, about 180 at a distance from the bottom - the contact arrangement is arranged around the shaft 16 and stops the shaft 16 when the needle bar 14 looks at the upper end of its stroke and thus. the needle 15 is located outside of the work piece.
When the needle bar has come to a standstill, with the needle 15 located in the workpiece, as stated above, the 1) back foot 18 can be raised by moving the lever 19 in the direction of arrow B (Fig. 6 @ by a limited amount becomes.
It's through. it is possible to pivot the work piece around the needle 1.5 . If it is desired to remove the workpiece from the machine, the lever 19 is moved as far as possible in order to actuate the control switch 85 attached to the lever 19.
In this case, whoever opens the contacts 105 and 109, interrupts the circuit to the bottom contact arrangement 57, and the contacts 105 and 107 are closed in order to close the circuit to the top contact arrangement 58.
Since the machine is stopped in such a way that the contacts 61, 62 of the lower contact arrangement are open and the contacts 61b, 62b of the upper contact arrangement 58 are closed, the electromagnet 44 is excited and pulls the friction disk 34 off the Sehnurscheibe 29 away and in engagement with the electromagnet.
The auxiliary motor 49 then drives the drive shaft 16 in the same manner as described above until. the above contact order opens. The wave movement is only 180, since the contact arrangements 57 and 58 are arranged at a distance of 1.80. are, and the speed of the shaft 16 can not speed the speed of the electromagnet 44. exceed.
When the top contact arrangement 58 is open, come. ; the shaft 16 comes to a standstill again, the needle now being located outside of the workpiece and allowing the workpiece to be removed.
When the operator takes his foot off the pedal 77 after the shaft 16 has come to a standstill, the weight of the pedal 77 and the control rod 76 return the control lever 75 to the rest position, in which the control lever 75 is in the middle between stops 78 and 79 is held.
Remains in this position. the exciter holder 81 is closed, and the contacts 99 and 101 of the selection switch 83 are closed, so that the sewing machine is now stopped whenever the needle 14 is outside the workpiece.
It should be noted that the control switch 85 has no effect on the circuit when the control lever 75 is in the rest position in the middle between the stops 78 and 79, since its movable contact 105 cannot be supplied with energy when the contacts 99 and 101 of the selection hold 83 are open.
If. the sewing machine is operating at full speed and the operator takes his foot off the pedal 77s, the machine is stopped in a manner similar to that when the pedal is pressed in the manner explained. the heel is operated with. The difference is that, since the control lever 75 returns to a position in the middle between the stops 78 and 79, the sewing machine is stopped with the needle bar 1.1 raised.
It is possible to form a single stitch by simply lowering the pedal 7 7 at the free end and holding it in this position, so that the transmission driver 73 remains in the braking engagement position. It is assumed that the parts are in the positions shown in the drawings, and the needle bar 11 with them. of the needle 15 are raised according to the description provided.
When moving the Pedals 77 in the above-mentioned manner, the control lever 75 comes into contact with the stop 78 and actuates the selection switch 83 to open the contacts 99 and 101 iui @ l to close the contacts 99 and 101- where by the Below -contact arrangement switched on and the needle lowered. becomes.
The needle bar 1.-1 is then returned to the raised position by releasing the pressure on the heel, around a single stitch formation cycle is completed.
Every time the control lever 75 comes out of its rest position in contact with then. If the stop 78 is moved or vice versa, the drive shaft 16 is rotated 180 in order to drive the sewing machine over half a length of the drawing. Of course, when the high current is opened,
the entire device for stopping the needle in certain positions is made ineffective. However, the spring 10 holds the disk 31 with the drive pulley 9 in contact, so that the sewing machine operates in a single verse. who can when the heavy current switch is turned on like that.
There is. many uses of the described attachment. For example, when sewing shirt pockets, the service person can operate the machine in such a way that a seam is sewn along an edge of a pocket and then the control pedal is clicked at the back, which causes the machine to come to a standstill,
while the needle is in the workpiece. When the lever 19 is pressed to raise the presser foot, the work rope can be pivoted into a position where the work piece can be arranged for sewing another seam.
This sequence of work processes is repeated for each seam until the end of the last seam is reached. is. At the end of the last seam, the process is the same as at the end of any other seam, with the exception that the lever 19 is now pushed to its extreme position to cause the needle to stop in its raised position, :
so that the work piece is removed. and a new work piece can be introduced. It can be seen that if the operator stops the machine before the desired end of the seam is reached, the machine can be operated to make only single stitches until the desired end of the seam is achieved. .De "dzvede operation, by hand of the sewing machine with the help of a flywheel is eliminated.
A second embodiment of the Nälrnraseln.ine is. 7 and 8 are shown as far as is necessary for understanding. Most of the parts in this Aus @ ühiauigs- form are identical to the first Attsleitings- form and are named with the same reference numerals.
In this embodiment. only one exciter housing 81 is attached to the drive belt lever 73. With. because Betätiglingsor-an 82, which lever 75 is operated by the control. The selection switch 83 is omitted.
The switch 81 contains. Contacts 97 and 98, which are usually kept closed by the control lever 75 with the spring 80 in its rest position, and they are opened when the pedal 77 is not depressed. the brake 68 is run to release.
A switch 110 is arranged in a box 111 which is attached to the table plate 12. is and contains the equivalent ricliter 92, a heavy current shifter 112, an Atuswalrlschal, ter113 and a 1 = Iilfsmotoi-selial- ter 77-1 ..
The switch 110 is provided with a part 115 which is operated by the knee of the operator. can be. All other parts are in principle the same as finite. With reference to the first exemplary embodiment.
Naelr dem. Scha.ltsema. Alternating current is supplied to FIG. 8 through a high-voltage control switch 112 to be actuated by the operator. A line 116 connects the switch 112 directly to the (Tleie @ r-riehter 92. On the other hand, the Selna. 112 is with.
the Cleiehrichter 92 through the Schaltkon contacts 97 and 98 connected. Direct current is supplied to the brush 54 from the rectifier 92 through a line 117. The other balance stream connection of the balance regulator 92 is connected to the movable contact 118 of the single-pole two-wire holder 10. The two.
fast 1.1.U switch contacts 119 and 120 are with. the movable contacts 121. and 122 of the double-pole two-way selector switch, respectively; s 77.3 A pair of interconnected contacts 123 and 1.24 of the selector switch 113 is with the fixed contact.
61b of the upper contact arrangement 58 and connected to a movable contact 125 of the lIotor switch 114. The other fixed contact pair 126 and 127 of the selector switch 113 is connected to the fixed contact 61 of the Linten contact arrangement 57 round to the fixed contact 128 of the motor switch 1.1.4. This second embodiment works. in a similar way to the first embodiment.
Before starting work, the high-voltage switch 112 is closed and the stop position of the needle bar is selected by moving the selection switch 11.3 either into the up or down position. becomes.
Assuming the selection switch has been moved to the down position, the contacts 121 and 122 are in engagement with the contacts 12'7 and 124, respectively, and the down control arrangement 5 7 determines the stop position of the needle bar 14, since the contacts 118 and 119 of switch 110 are closed and contacts 125 and 128 of motor switch 114 are open.
When the pedal 77 is depressed to release the brake 68, moved. look the control lever 75 down to engage the lower stop 79 and open the exciter switch 87th. The circuit of the magnet 44 is therefore opened before the brake 68 is released, and the sewing machine can be operated in the normal manner, as described in connection with the first embodiment. will.
When it is desired to switch off the sewing machine, the pedal 7 7 is pressed with the heel in order to move the control lever 75 against the upper stop 78 and to bring the brake 65 into the engagement position. This process also closes the exciter switch 81, bringing the electrical circuit of the 31agnet.en 44 into the standby state --ix.
The sewing machine is now brought to a standstill, the needle 14 being in the Uriteri position, in the same way as was described in the first embodiment: 3-form.
If the selection switch 113 is set to the up position, the sewing machine 10 is shut down with the needle bar 14 raised. It should be noted that in this embodiment nothing else takes place if the operator takes his foot off the pedal 77 after the machine has stopped.
Even if the operator's feet are removed during normal operation of the machine, the spring 80 returns the control lever 75 to its rest position and the spring 70 engages the brake 68, causing the machine 10 to come to a standstill in the same manner comes as if the pedal 77 had been pressed with the heels.
If the operator wishes to stop the machine 10 at a position of the needle bar 14 which is not. has been selected at the selector switch 113, so you press the portion 115 to open the contacts 118 and 119 and to close the contacts 118 and 120, whereby the selection made on the selector switch 113 is made ineffective.
If, therefore, the emitting switch 113 is in the down position, the connection to the contacts 121 and 127 and to the down contact arrangement 57 is interrupted and a connection to the contacts 122 and 124 is interrupted to the top contact arrangement 58 closed.
If the selection switch 113 is in the up position, actuation of the switch 110 interrupts the connections to the contacts 121 -Lind 123 and to the up-contact arrangement 58 and closes the circuit to the contacts 122 and 126 and to the down-contact. arrangement 57.
As soon as the pressure is released from the operating part 11 <1, the switch 110 closes the contacts 118 and 119 and the circuit is reset to the state that has been selected on the selection switch 113. In this embodiment the sewing machine can also be controlled in such a way that it only works over a single complete stitch-forming cycle. When the sewing machine 10 is at rest and the selection switch 113 is, for example, in the down position, the needle bar 14 is in its lowered position.
If the selection switch 113 is then moved to the up position by hand, the sewing machine 10 is driven by the auxiliary motor 49 until the needle bar 1.1 is in its raised position.
When the selection switch 113 returns to the lower position, the needle bar 14 is returned to its lower position and a stitch formation cycle is thus completed. Every time the selection holder 11.3 is moved from one position to the other,
the sewing machine 10 is driven by the auxiliary motor 49 over half a stitch formation cycle. It should be noted that: The same result can be obtained by pressing and releasing the switch 110.
Another feature of this modified embodiment is that the sewing machine can be driven continuously by the auxiliary motor 49, that is, at a reduced speed compared to normal sewing.
When the usually open auxiliary motor switch 114 is closed by the operator, the fixed contacts 61 and 61b of the contact arrangements 57 and 58 are directly connected to each other. There. one of the Kontaktanord voltages, is always closed, the electric magnet 44 is energized as long as the energizing switch 81 is closed, whereby the drive shaft 16 is connected to the continuously running auxiliary drive motor 49.
The circuit of the electromagnet can be broken by the operator opening the switch 114. or the pedal 77 is pressed down a little to open the exciter holder 81. A further depression of the pedal 77 causes the drive of the shaft 16 from the main motor in the usual manner.
From the above description it can be seen that the device has a large number of practical advantages. The device for arranging the needle consists of a simple coupling device and a positioning device, which is easy to use with a sewing machine. can be blinded to one.
Auxiliary motor and a power box, which can be connected to a power table or other support means in an appropriate manner, and an electrical control system that can be conveniently connected and controlled by the usual sewing machine control elements.
The friction brake brings the sewing machine to a standstill without violent jolts and arranges. the needle bar of the sewing machine exactly in a predetermined position. The sewing machine can be driven to form a single stitch by simply operating the hand controls.
