EMI0002.0011
Cr <SEP> 10-12 <SEP> Cr <SEP> 12-14 <SEP> Cr <SEP> 14-16
<tb> Ni <SEP> 16 <SEP> Ni <SEP> 16 <SEP> Ni <SEP> 16
<tb> C <SEP> 0,02 <SEP> C'. <SEP> 0,02 <SEP> C <SEP> 0,02
<tb> Fe <SEP> Rest. <SEP> Fe <SEP> Rest <SEP> Fe <SEP> Rest.
Process for producing a mainspring for watches and mainspring obtained by this method For the production of mainspring for watches ren is tried. been to use a so-called 18-8 iron-nickel-chromium alloy to obtain a largely rust-free spring zii.
It has shown that feathers with. A sufficiently high modulus of elasticity of about 21,000 kg / mm2 can only be produced from such an alloy if the strip is cold-deformed to a high degree of hardness. With increasing cold deformation, however, ferritic precipitations form, which make the spring strip brittle and also bring a magnetic component into the belt that makes it magnetically sensitive and rust-sensitive.
This difficulty. can now, surprisingly, be avoided by the present new process, which consists in the fact that an iron-nickel-chromium alloy, which has a cubic surface:
entrosed grid, homogenized in wire form and quenched, then drawn under cold and rolled to form the strip, the ratio of the cross-cut reduction when drawing the wire to the cross-sectional reduction by the flat rolling of the wire is adjusted so,
that the direction of this maximum value of the modulus of elasticity is predominantly oriented parallel to the rolling direction, which is followed by post-treatment at temperatures of 200-600 <B> 0 </B> in order to achieve a modulus of elasticity of at least 21,000 kg / mm2. Thanks to the homogenization annealing, the material is made homogeneous, i.e. H. All components are dissolved in one another, so that only a single phase can be found in the material.
Tests have also shown that, for example, with a cross-section reduction of up to about 800 / a by drawing and of up to about 90%. the desired goal by rolling,
namely, an orientation of the maximum value of the modulus of elasticity predominantly parallel to the rolling direction is achieved.
It was found that in an alloy of this type with a cubic face-centered lattice, the 111 direction, which has the maximum of the E-module, is preferably in the rolling direction and in the rolling plane is oriented.
In the case of type 18-8 chrome-nickel steel, thanks to the texture created in this way, the rolling hardness can be lower, which reduces the precipitation of ferrite. A further reduction in these harmful excretions, which make the material both brittle and rust-proof,
can be achieved by choosing an alloy that does not lie on the austenite-ferrite boundary. Such an alloy has the following composition, for example
EMI0002.0005
Cr <SEP> 8-20%,
<tb> Ni <SEP> 10-20%.
<tb> C <SEP> 0- <SEP> <B> 0.051 / o </B>
<tb> Fe <SEP> rest The alloy can be varied as required within the specified limits.
The following examples provide alloys that meet the desired requirements:
EMI0002.0011
Cr <SEP> 10-12 <SEP> Cr <SEP> 12-14 <SEP> Cr <SEP> 14-16
<tb> Ni <SEP> 16 <SEP> Ni <SEP> 16 <SEP> Ni <SEP> 16
<tb> C <SEP> 0.02 <SEP> C '. <SEP> 0.02 <SEP> C <SEP> 0.02
<tb> Fe <SEP> rest. <SEP> Fe <SEP> rest <SEP> Fe <SEP> rest.
If desired, additives such as B. up to 4% Si -I- Mn, up to 10% Nb,
up to 10% Ti or up to 3 0/0 Be can be added; however, these additions together should not exceed 10%, based on the total alloy.
The homogenization of the wire is expediently carried out at temperatures of more than 1000 ° C., whereupon the wire, after being cut off at around 60 ° C., is drawn and then cold. rolled into strip. is that a cross-section reduction of at least 80% takes place, whereupon between 200 and 600 C is post-treated.
Give the spring banners produced in this way without 1VTa.rtensit. is excreted to a harmful extent, an E-module of at least 21,000 kg / mm2.
