Description

Ball bearing for a clockwork mobile axis The object of the present invention is a ball bearing for a clockwork mobile axis. This bearing is characterized by the fact that the cage containing the balls is closed on the side of the outer end of the bearing by a timepiece on which the balls roll.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the present invention applied to a watch balance, and a variant.

Figs. 1 and 2 are axial sections of the two embodiments, respectively of the variant.

In fig. 1, the axis A of the balance is mounted between two bearings. The frame 2 of the lower bearing is driven into the plate B and that, 2a, of the upper bearing is screwed into the shell- retaining 3 and presses by the cone 4 on the elastic bearing surface 5, which makes it possible to adjust the height clearance of the balance. The cockerel has an extension which is driven into the cock C. This frame contains three equidistant balls 6 of 1200, but the design of which, for simplification, represents only two arranged on the same diameter.

The cage of these balls is closed at its lower part by a ring 7 and, at its upper part, by a timepiece 8 on which the balls roll, and which is crimped in the bearing frame.

The lower bearing is similar to the upper bearing with the difference that it is not adjustable in height and that the upper bottom 7a of the ball cage came from manufacture with the mounting of the bearing.

Finally, in the variant of FIG. 2, the stone 8, instead of being set in the frame, rests on a shoulder of the latter and is held in place by an elastic flange 9.
