Device for fine machining of workpiece surfaces The invention relates to a device for fine machining of workpiece. surfaces with the help of a machining means that can be guided along the same, relative to the workpiece on the upper surfaces to be machined.
According to the claim of the main patent is. With a processing means that is in the loose state, a processing mass is formed, which is located in a container at least partially surrounding it, into which the workpieces to be processed can be introduced, the processing mass being moved along the workpiece surface to be processed. Fläehen can be kept under pressure.
A particularly useful embodiment of this device, for example, consists, as described in the main patent, in that the container consists of a centrifugal bowl rotatable about its central axis in such a way that when it rotates, the processing compound which only partially fills this bowl forms a mass ring under the effect of centrifugal force in which the workpieces on holding means with the surfaces to be machined can be at least partially immersed.
When grinding and polishing knife blades, the two sides of the blade must be exposed to the processing compound over their entire surface. At the same time, it must be ensured that the knife blades are firmly clamped to their holding means. Otherwise, the thin blade blades can be set in vibrations by the processing mass flowing past and released from their holders, so that they can get into the flow of the rotating processing mass and damage other workpieces.
The aim of the present invention is to form holding means for knife blades to be machined in such a way that complete machining of the blade blade sides is possible, and that the blades are nevertheless securely held by the holding means.
The additional invention is that the device for finishing knife blades for their introduction and Hal sion in the or in the rotating, the processing mass containing centrifuge has blade holder that have a concavely curved support surface against which the blade of a knife blade under elastic Bending by means of a clamping tool which is used to clamp the blade tang and which is arranged at the rear end of a support surface forming the base can be pressed.
As a result, the blade of the knife blade can receive a pretension which is sufficient to hold it immovably firmly on the base of the blade holder? Without the blade having to be additionally clamped at the front end of the blade. The entire side surface of the blade to be machined is exposed and can be ground or polished in a single operation by the rotating machining compound. This enables a saving in working time and costs to be achieved.
The drawing shows a blade holder of an exemplary embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the holder for a finely machined knife blade in side view. Fig. 2 shows the holder with the clamped knife blade partially in section.
FIG. 3 shows a cross section along the line A-B of FIG.
FIG. 4 shows a knife blade that has been machined according to an earlier method with unworked or after-machined areas on its blade side, and FIG. 5 shows a knife blade with a completely machined blade side as a result of the use of the blade holder.
The processing compound, which is used for grinding and polishing the blade sides of the knife blades and is formed with a processing medium in a loose state, partially fills a centrifuge shell (not shown) that is rotatable about its central axis. When the centrifuge bowl rotates, the processing mass forms a mass ring under the effect of the centrifugal force, into which the knife blades attached to fixed holders are immersed so that the processing mass is moved along the blades under pressure.
The blade holder has a base 1 which is attached to a holding arm 2 which has a transverse bore 3 so that the blade holder can be fastened to the end of a pivot arm which is pivotably mounted about a pivot point outside the centrifuge bowl in such a way that the blade holder together with the knife to be processed can be moved into and out of the centrifuge bowl.
The support surface 4 of the base 1 has a concave curvature which is shaped in such a way that the blade 5 of a knife blade clings to the support surface 4 precisely and without play by means of elastic deflection when it is supported by the blade head 6 and the Blade tang 7 formed end of the knife blade is pressed out onto the base 1.
For this purpose, the rear end of the pad 1 is bifurcated into two cheeks 8, between those tween which on a continuous Ge threaded bolt 9 an eccentric roller 10 is rotatably mounted and fixedly connected to the bolt 9 by a pin 11. In the outer surface of the eccentric roller 10 there is a circumferential, semicircular cross-section with a groove. 13 is provided, which is provided with a transverse corrugation, as can be seen from the broken partial section of FIG. The annular groove 13 is. dimensioned so that the round tang 7 of the knife blade 5 engage in the groove and come into contact with the corrugation of the same.
Opposite the lateral surface of the eccentric roller 10, an abutment 14 is arranged, which can consist of one piece with the cheeks 8 or is welded onto the same according to the drawing. At least the surface of this abutment 14, which is particularly exposed to the flow of abrasive material in the centrifuge drum, has hard metal armor 15, which prevents the clamping device from wearing out too quickly.
Opposite the annular groove 13 of the eccentric roller 10, a longitudinal groove 16 which is approximately semicircular in cross-section is provided in the lower surface of the abutment 14, into which the upper part of the tang 7 can insert.
The tang 7 is rolled between the eccentric 10 and the abutment 14 in the ring groove 13 and in the longitudinal groove 16 is inserted. When the eccentric roller 10 is rotated in the direction of the arrow 17 (Fig. 2) with the aid of the bolt head 12, the eccentric roller 10 presses the tang 7 firmly into the longitudinal groove 16 of the abutment 14.
The lower surface of the abutment 14 now extends in such a way that the blade blade 5, if the concavely curved support surface 4 were not present, would extend in a straight direction without bending in the axis 18, which is indicated in FIG is.
Due to the curvature of the support surface 4, however, the blade 5 must bend elastically when the tang 7 is pressed against the abutment 14, following the correspondingly shaped curvature of the support surface 4 and clinging to it, as shown in FIG 2 can be seen. The blade is given a strong bias, which holds the blade firmly on the base 1.
The eccentric 10 also has the effect that the tang 7 is pulled backwards during clamping through the corrugation of the annular groove 13 until the blade head 6 against the front face of the abutment 14 and a shoulder formed by a recess 19 of the support surface 4 bumps.
As FIG. 5 shows, a blade sheet 5 clamped in this way does not have any unprocessed areas caused by clamping points after processing its completely exposed surface to be processed, while the knife blade 5 'shown in FIG. which has also been clamped at the front according to the earlier type, shows two clamping points 20 near the knife tip, which must be reworked in a second work step after corresponding re-clamping.
