Device for atomizing liquids The invention relates to a device for atomizing liquids, in which, for the purpose of forming a mist, which is an aerosol, the liquid supplied to at least one rotating surface is thrown by centrifugal action against an atomizing element provided with passages, which is surrounded by the casing of the device, which itself also serves as a baffle and guide surface for the mist to be ejected.
Provisions of this type are z. B. in the Swiss patents Ni-n. 257663 and 285473.
The invention now consists in the fact that the housing jacket, which is open at the bottom and top, is divided into two parts by an additional air inlet all around the circumference, both of which are attached to a frame and of which the lower one carries the motor system with the sling system, while the upper one , at least partially as a baffle and guide surface for the part formed from ejected fog at the outlet opening leads a height-adjustable collar.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the device is presented as an example.
There are shown: FIG. 1 the exemplary embodiment in elevation and longitudinal section, FIG. 2 the fastening of the Sehleuderflä- ehen to the hub connected to the motor shaft, in a perspective view and a partial section. According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the device has a housing 1 a, 1 b, which stands on feet 2. In the longitudinal axis of the housing an electric motor is arranged .. At the lower end of the shaft 4, the sling system consisting of discs 5 is releasably fastened with an intake port 6 be. The suction nozzle 6 is immersed in a vessel 7 filled with the liquid to be atomized.
Opposite the outer edges of the disk battery formed from the centrifugal surfaces or disks 5, the atomizer element 8 provided with passages is arranged in the form of an annular ring.
The arrangement and design of the above generally mentioned essential parts of the device is as follows: The housing shell 1a, 1b, which is open at the bottom and at the top for the purpose of air inlet and outlet, is divided into two parts by an additional air inlet 9 around the circumference, both of which are attached to the Frame forming feet 2 are attached and of which the lower part 1b in turn carries the motor system and the sling system, while the upper, at least partially designed as a baffle and guide surface for the ejected mist, part 1a of the housing at the outlet opening one in the Height adjustable collar 10 leads.
The lower part 1b of the housing is fastened by screws 11 to the frame feet 2 be. By means of these screws 11, a sheet metal ring 12 is also fastened to the lower housing part 1b, which extends with a cylindrical part parallel to the central axis of the device and covers the additional air inlet 9. The air entering through the order opening 9 is thus on the one hand through the inner surface of the upper housing part la and on the other hand through the outer surface of the ring 12 leads upward ge.
On the ring 12 is. the whole Mo torsystem hung with the centrifugal system in fol gender manner: The housing of the motor 3 is connected via arms 1.3 and screws 11 with a motor casing, which consists of two parts 15a and 15b. On the lower cladding part 15a from below the ver provided with passages Zer dusting organ 8 in the form of a lamellar ring is fitted and attached. Is on the lower cladding part 15a, furthermore the upper cladding part 15b is attached and optionally fastened by special means be.
The motor system is now connected via the lower casing part 15a to the ring 12, which is firmly seated on the lower casing shell part 1b, by means of hollow screw bolts 16 with circumferential spacer part 16a. The hollow bolts are used for Luftzu occurs and pressure equalization between the inner casing of the motor and the inner space of the housing shell. The outer surface of the upper motor casing part 15b and the inner surface of the upper housing shell part lca form together with the upper opening or
the collar 10, the guide surfaces of the Nebelaus shock channel. The attachment of the upper part la of the housing shell to frame feet 2 is accomplished by screws 17. The outer surface of the motor casing part 15b and the inner surface of the upper housing shell part la expediently have unevenness in the form of roughening, ribs, etc., which unevenness contribute significantly to improving the quantity and quality of the aerosols or to achieve the refinement of the mist.
The collar 10, which is axially displaceably guided in the upper cylindrical part of the housing jacket part 1.a, has an annular bead 10a as a stop for its lower end position, while the collar can be pulled out and removed upwards. The collar 10 is. Slotted in length and lies with full friction against the cylindrical part of the housing shell part 1a. The collar 10 is used in particular to guide the ejected fog at a greater height, for. B. in high rooms.
On the other hand, the collar also serves to separate the coarser mist particles in the dead space 18 formed between collar 10 and coat la. Furthermore, the use of collar 10 reduces the air turbulence and thus a low-turbulence exhaust is achieved, the percentage being the sorting is adjustable. The collar 10 it consequently allows an adjustable delivery performance or fineness of the mist with certain engine power.
A vertically adjustable and adjustable propeller 19 is arranged at the upper end of the motor shaft 4. In addition, a sleeve 20 covering the passage opening in the casing part 15 is seated on the relevant shaft part.
With the lower end of the shaft 4 a hub 22 is releasably verbun by a screw 21, on which the centrifugal disks 5 are angeord net. For this purpose, the hub 22, for. B. six radial ribs 23 (Figure 2), against the circumferential edges 23a, the inner edges of the discs 5 for the purpose of centering and balancing. By means of screws 24 (FIG. 1), @ penetrate the corresponding bores 25 (FIG. 2) of the centrifugal disks 5, these are fastened to the ring part 22a of the hub 22, at the same time as the intake port 6.
The radial ribs 23 of the centrifugal disks are not only used for centering and weaning them out; they also serve as centrifugal pump blades. As the liquid. after suction through the nozzle 6 between the six radial ribs 23 emerges onto the centrifugal disks 5, there are six liquid exit zones on the disks 5.
In order to distribute this liquid outlet, which is interrupted in the circumferential direction, evenly over 360, the upper sides of the centrifugal disks 5 can in their. radial course be interrupted by an annular elevation, which can consist of a round rib or a hump 26, as indicated, for example, for the upper disk 5 in FIG.
The suction nozzle rotating with the centrifugal system can expediently be provided in its lower end with a transverse rib 6a, which acts as a centrifugal pump blade or liquid driver in order to achieve a higher delivery rate. Due to the resulting better liquid entrainment, there is now more of a risk of contamination of the centrifugal system, which is why the suction nozzle is surrounded on its lower part by a sieve 27, which sits on a holding device 28,
which in turn in the manner shown in Fig. 1 below releasably attached to the lower housing part 1b. is. The sieve does not serve. only to prevent contamination of the system, but also to prevent eddy formation around the suction port for the purpose of calming the liquid. The Haltevor device 28 for the screen 27 is ausgebil det that other devices or additional units can be attached to it.
In the area of the intake 6, an electrical heating device can also be easily seen, which preferably surrounds the screen 27 in the form of a heating coil and serves to preheat the liquid in the container 7, which contributes to further increasing the performance of the device.
