EMI0001.0007
I>x</I> bzw.<I>y</I> bezeichnet.
I>x . y =</I> f2 ge geben.
24 in Eingriff.
Optical copier with focus indicator It is known to use for the focus adjustment of magnifying devices and the like gears that actively bring the lens into such a position when adjusting the magnifying head that the positive and negative planes are formed into each other. Such facilities require a considerable amount of work equipment and are therefore only advantageous for those devices that require a particularly high operating speed so that high acquisition costs are also economical (e.g.
when enlarging small images). When working with apparatus with which larger negatives are to be enlarged, it is less the working speed than the working accuracy that is of great importance. With the wide working range from very small to very large magnifications, the unavoidable tolerances of the lens focal lengths have a very strong effect, so that a gear that complies with the lens equation for every setting of the lens must be manufactured very precisely and therefore special for long lens focal lengths is very expensive and bulky.
It is known that the enlargement factor in enlarging devices is given by the same quotients
EMI0001.0007
given if f denotes the focal length, while the distances of the negative or the enlarged images from the lens center are equal to <I> x </I> - [- <I> f </I> or y + f. The equation <I> x - y = </I> f <I> 2 </I> must therefore be satisfied in order to achieve the focusing.
The present invention relates to an optical copier in which the negative carrier s and the lens carrier can be adjusted arbitrarily parallel to the optical axis with respect to the image plane by means of independently operable setting means, characterized in that there is at least one relative displacement of the Lens carrier opposite, has automatically controlled device above the negative carrier and is provided with a display device that shows
In which relative position of the lens carrier with respect to the negative carrier the condition <I> x - y = </I> 12, which is decisive for focusing, is fulfilled, where <I> f </I> is the focal length of the lens, x of the Focal length denotes the reduced distance of the negative from the object center point and y denotes the distance of the image plane from the lens center point reduced by the focal length. With such a device, the adjustment of the lens can after. Hiring a suitable. Magnification scale can be achieved by hand until the focus is achieved, without the need to observe the projected image and estimate the degree of sharpness achieved.
The operator is thus relieved of the difficult and uncertain assessment of the projection image for sharpness. Since the lens is adjusted by hand, the device does not need to transmit any significant forces when specifying the focus, a fact which in itself enables such semi-automatic magnification devices to be simplified and made cheaper.
The device can have, individually or in combination, mechanical, optical or electrical means and controls, such as. B. beam deflector, contact devices or resistors that, as already mentioned, do not need to work under load.
Because of the elimination of mechanical loads, the elastic deformations of the gear members, which are difficult to avoid when transmitting forces to the control gears, can be avoided, a fact that benefits the accuracy of the device. In addition, the required building space can be kept relatively small, and several devices for different interchangeable lenses can be easily attached to one and the same device. It is also possible to use one and the same device in optional connec tion with lenses of different focal lengths, if the sizes adapted to the focal length are intended to be freely changeable.
The drawing shows four execution examples of the subject invention.
Figs. 1 to 4 show in! Elevation, partly in section, schematically one exemplary embodiment.
FIG. 5 shows the circuit diagram for the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a base plate is provided in the usual manner in enlarging devices, the upper side 1 of which is used to place the copy paper and therefore practically represents the image plane. A support column 2 is attached to the base plate perpendicular to the image plane 1, on which a negative carrier 3 is mounted by means of a guide bush 3ra along the support column, but cannot be rotated relative to it and can be locked in various positions. The setting and locking means are not specified and can be formed in the usual way.
The negative carrier 3 has in an area parallel to the image plane 1 on stock for placing a negative 4 on. Between these supports and the image plane of the magnifying lens 5 aufwei transmitting lens carrier 6 is arranged. This has a guide bush 6a, which runs on a guide rod 3b which is fastened to the negative carrier 3 and is parallel to the optical axis. The socket 6a is secured against rotating and provided with adjusting and locking means, which are not shown, so that the lens carrier 6 relative to your negative carrier 3 is arbitrarily displaceable parallel to the optical axis.
In this way, the negative carrier 3 together with the lens carrier 6 can be displaced along the support column 2 and, independently of this, the lens carrier 6 relative to the negative carrier 3. The device now also has a device that is actively controlled as a function of this latter relative displacement a on the lens carrier 6 by a perpendicular z. Optical axis lying Drehaehse rotatable res pivot member S includes.
The pivot member 8 has a lever arm 8a, which is rotatable and longitudinally displaceable on a seated on the negative carrier 3 abutment 9 is supported. The roller bearing 9 is designed as a circular cylindrical guide roller, wel che is mounted on the negative carrier 3 freely rotatable about the cylinder axis arranged parallel to the axis of rotation of the pivot lever 8.
The bearing surface of the lever arm Sa that cooperates with the abutment 9 is arranged parallel to the plane defined by the two axes, the lever arm 8a resting on the abutment 9 in a force-locking manner by means of an adjusting spring i supported on the negative carrier 3.
The pivot member S is on the other hand provided with a light beam generator in the form of a slit projector 10, which generates a relative to the pivot member 8 in its direction invariable light beam, which is directed radially to the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and with a fixed projection surface 11 works together. The projection surface 11 is located on a protrusion attached to the foot of the support column 2 and is provided with a marking line which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and is illustrated by its intersection point C with the plane of the drawing in FIG.
This perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and containing the light beam intersects this axis of rotation at point A and also the axis of rotation of the abutment 9 at point B. The ratios are now chosen so that the intersection points A, B and C under see a Form a right triangle whose right angle lies at the corner located at point A and whose hypotenuse BC is parallel to the optical axis. Furthermore, the height at right angles to the hypotenuse is the same length as the focal length f of the objective 5.
Likewise, the distances of the triangle parallel to the optical axis, on the one hand from the negative 4 and on the other hand from the image plane 1, are equally large and equal to this focal length f. The distances, parallel to the optical axis, of the center point of the objective 5 from point B on the one hand and point C on the other hand are denoted by <I> x </I> and <I> y </I>.
The distances <I> x </I> and y therefore correspond to the distances of the base point, the height of the right-angled triangle having the length f from the end points B and C of its hypotenuse B-C. Accordingly, according to a well-known geometric theorem, the mathematical relation between the triangle height and the above-mentioned base point distances of this height on the hypothesis is given by the equation <I> x. y = </I> f2 ge.
This equation now coincides with the focusing condition of the enlarging device mentioned in the introduction to the description.
Accordingly, with each enlargement factor, the focus setting is achieved when the light beam of the projector 10 on the projection surface is precisely directed onto the marking line and thus hits point C. As a result, the light beam generator serves together with the projection surface 11 as a display device, which shows when the device is in focus.
When using the device, the socket 3a on the column 2 in the position corresponding to the desired degree of magnification is brought before only after releasing the detection. The lens carrier 6 inevitably takes part in this movement. Then after releasing the determination of the Füh approximately socket 6a of the lens carrier 6 on the guide rod 3b relative to the negative carrier 3 shifted until the pivot member 8 controlled in dependence on this relative displacement has reached the pivot position in which the light beam hits the mark C hits. The focus is now achieved.
It is not absolutely necessary to form the abutment 9 as a roller, rather it is sufficient if the abutment 9 is formed at least in your cooperating with the lever frame 8 border area circular-cylindrical, with a radius corresponding to the guide roller.
The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 only in that an electrically operating display device is used instead of an optically operating display device. The parts provided with the same reference symbols coincide with the corresponding parts in FIG. 1.
The point <B> C </B> located in place of the marking point C provided in FIG. 1 in FIG. 2 also has the same mathematical meaning with regard to the focusing condition, but in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 it relates to the intersection of an axis of rotation of the Swivel link 8 parallel. Rotation axis through the drawing plane. A support roller 12 is rotatably mounted on this axis of rotation.
Between tween this support roller 12 and. A circular cylinder segment 15, which is coaxial to the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and which is fastened to the lens carrier 6, is now tensioned by a band 13. This is articulated on the one hand on the circle sector 15 and guided over the support roller 12 away to a winding drum 14 located next to this, which is under the influence of a tension spring, not shown, which keeps the tape 13 freely up and down under tension.
The radius of the sector 15 and the support roller 12 are of equal size, so that the belt 13 lies parallel to the plane which is determined by the axes of rotation of the pivot member 8 and the support roller 12.
The pivot member 8 is now provided with an arm 8b, which lies approximately at right angles to the arm 8a and has a contact 21a and 20a at the free end on both sides. Both contacts form a double contact and are connected to a common power supply line 22a of a power source.
The double contact sits with a certain tolerance play between two seated on a counter contact carrier 16 Ge counter contacts 20 and 21, which are connected by a common power line 22b via a signaling device 22 to the other pole of the power source. The counter contact carrier 16 is designed as a plate rotatably mounted on the lens carrier 6 coaxially to the pivot member 8.
On this plate 16, two driver rollers 17 and 18 are rotatably mounted about axes parallel to the common axis of rotation of the swivel member 8 and the plate 16, between which the belt 13 is passed without play, so that the glass belt 13 only moves longitudinally when the rollers 17 and 18 rotate can. The plate 16 together with the parts 17, 18, 20 and 21 seated thereon is precisely balanced by a counterweight 19 with respect to its axis of rotation.
Since the points <I> A, B </I> and <B> C </B> again represent a right-angled triangle with the functions explained with reference to FIG. 1, the focusing condition is obviously <in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG I> x - y = </I> <B> / '- </B> when the belt 13 between the two support members 12 and 15 is straight and consequently also parallel to the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and that of the Support roller 12 runs certain plane, as shown in FIG.
For use, the hard position of the guide bush 3a is released again and the negative carrier 3 is brought along the support column 2 in the position corresponding to the desired degree of magnification relative to the image plane 1 and is established in this. The lens carrier 6 is involved in this movement. As a result, the position of the support member 15 relative to the stationary support member 12 has changed. According to the changed distance of this support member, the tape 13 was automatically wound from the drum 14 or wound onto it.
With the displacement of the support member 15, however, not only a change in length of the support point spacing is connected, but also a change in angle. As a result, depending on the direction of displacement, the belt 13 exerts a transverse force on one of the drivers 17 and 18, which causes a pivoting movement of the plate 16 with its mating contacts. Immediately after passing through any play, the double contact 20a, 21a comes into contact with one of the mating contacts 20 or 21, whereby the signaling device 22 receives current.
Since a further pivoting of the plate 16 relative to the pivot member 8 is not possible and this is non-positively fixed between the adjusting spring 7 and the abutment 9, the tape 13 is deflected in the relevant direction while exerting a corresponding restoring force caused by the tape tension on the plate 16 .
Now the lens carrier 6 is solved and so long relative to the negative carrier 3 is ver until the band deflection is eliminated and so the band 13 again has the straight position between the support members 12 and 15 shown in Fig. 2 Darge. When this position is reached, the double contact 20a, 21a returns to its central position between the mating contacts 20, 21 with mutual tolerance, so that the signal device 22 is de-energized. This de-energizing shows your operator that the focus has been achieved. The signal device can, for. B. be formed as a glow lamp.
The tolerance play between the double contact 20a. 21a and the Cregen contacts 20 and 21 can be set depending on the accuracy requirements and then allows the respective degree of accuracy of the focus setting achieved to be estimated accordingly.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIG. 2 only in that it acts as a movable support member for the band 13. Place of the circular cylinder segment 15 a deflection roller 26 rotatable about the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and the counter-contact carrier 16 is used, over which the return belt 13 is guided by 90 'deflection up to an abutment 25 seated on the negative carrier 3 .
The end of the belt 13 is hinged to this abutment. The abutment 25 is formed at least in the area cooperating with the band 13 from a circular cylinder, the cylinder axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and counter contact carrier 16 and the cylinder radius finitely the radius of the deflection roller 26 and that of the support roller 12 match. Between the deflection roller 26 and your abutment 25, the belt 13 is longitudinally displaceable on both sides, each with a driver roller 23 or
24 engaged. The belt 13 runs between these driver rollers 23 and 24 without play, the driver rollers being arranged in such a way that in the pivot position of the pivot lever 8 and the counter-contact carrier 16, which is shown in FIG. 3 and fulfills the focus condition, the belt between the abutment 25 and the deflection roller 26 is straight and therefore runs parallel to the plane
by the common axis of rotation of the pivot member 8 and the counter contact carrier 16 on the one hand and the. Points B is determined, which again represents the intersection between the cylinder axis of the abutment 25 and the plane of the drawing.
As can be seen, in contrast to the embodiment of FIG. 2 in the present embodiment of FIG. 3, the control of the pivot member 8 is not necessarily by the support of the lever arm 8a against its abutment 9, but with the interposition of the according to FIG. 3 on Abutment 25 supported belt 13.
As a result, in the present case of FIG. 3, a double control effect is achieved by the band 13, which on the one hand, the return of the pivot lever 8 and thus the double contact 20a, 21a and on the other hand, the return of the counter contact carrier and the counter contacts 20, 21 causes. Taking this deviation into account, the function of the device is in principle the same as that according to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, so that the operation and use are also analogous.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the mounting of the negative carrier 3 is again analogous to that in the previous exemplary embodiments, but the lens carrier is mounted on the negative carrier in different ways. As ersicht from Fig. 4, Lich sits on the negative carrier 3 to the optical axis tubular housing 27 which is provided with internal threads.
The lens carrier 28 is provided with a coaxial tube or tubular housing which is formed with a corresponding external thread which is in engagement with the internal thread of the housing 27. The Ge thread is designed as a steep thread so that the entire required relative adjustment range between the lens carrier and the negative carrier in the direction of the optical axis can be achieved by rotating the lens carrier by at most one turn.
The housing 27 has an insulating ring 29 on its outside, which is suitably connected to the housing 27 so that it can be rotated and locked in various rotational positions. On this insulating ring sits a concentric to the optical axis regulating resistor in the form of a circularly curved resistance wire 30, with which a sliding contact 31 works together.
The sliding contact 31 sits on the inside of the jacket of a lens carrier 28 attached to the optical axis central capsule 28a. The jacket surrounds the housing 27 and can be bordered on the outside so that it can be easily rotated by touching it by hand, whereby the lens carrier adjustment is effected.
In parallel with the support column 2, a fixed, further regulating resistor 32 is arranged, which is supported by a carrier on the socket 3a of the negative. 3 seated sliding contact 33 is acted upon.
The sliding contacts 31 and 33 as well as the starting ends of the stationary resistors 30 and 32 are connected to one another according to the circuit of a Wheatstone bridge shown in FIG. 5, the constant resistance associated with this bridge corresponding to the regulating resistance 30 with 36, whereas the one associated with the regulating resistance 32 constant resistance is denoted by 35. A measuring instrument 34 is connected to the bridge and the whole is connected to a current source, the poles of which are indicated in the usual way in FIG.
The two regulating resistors 30 and 32 of the bridge are now dimensioned and automatically controlled as a function of the displacement movement of the negative carrier 3 with respect to the image plane 1 on the one hand and the relative displacement of the lens carrier 28 with respect to the negative carrier 3 on the other hand, so that when the measuring instru- Mentes 34 according to FIG. 5 recognizable,
the focussing condition <I> x - y = </I> f <I> 2 </I> fulfilling the equilibrium state of the bridge, the regulating resistor 30 is equivalent to the value 1: f in relation to the resistor 35 assigned to it and is always proportional to Length x changes, with the regulating resistor 32 also being equivalent to the value <B> 1: i </B> in relation to the resistor 36 assigned to it, but always changing proportionally to the length y.
When using the device, the negative carrier 3 together with the lens carrier 28 along the support column 2 is brought into the position corresponding to the desired magnification ratio after releasing the fixing of the guide bush 3a. The objective carrier is then rotated by gripping the casing of the capsule 28a, whereby it moves parallel to the optical axis relative to the negative carrier 3 by virtue of the steep thread. The rotary movement is continued until the pointer of the measuring instrument 34 reaches the zero position and thus the equilibrium state of the bridge is reached.
The focus condition is thus fulfilled.
To adjust the device, the locking of the insulating ring 29 is released and the insulating ring is shifted until the pointer of the measuring instrument 34 is in its zero position when the device has been precisely focused before. The regulating resistor 32 can also be changed accordingly in order to enable an adjustment.
The constant resistors 35 and 36 can also be internally variable for adjustment purposes, so that the device can be adapted to any focal length practically possible.
At very high magnifications, the value <I> x </I> becomes small compared to your value <I> y </I>, so that under certain circumstances the known artificial circuits derived from the Wheatstone measuring bridge can be used Conditions are particularly suitable.
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1-3, a corresponding adjustability of relevant elements can be provided for adaptation to different focal lengths. For this purpose, the swivel member 8 is expediently designed to be supported on different axes of rotation, it being advisable to arrange various axes of rotation that may be considered along a straight line at right angles to the optical axis. Instead of this arrangement, an arc-shaped arrangement may be advantageous under certain circumstances.
