Weighing device for divided quantities of material
The invention relates to a weighing device for divided amounts of material and, in particular, a device with a feed hopper arranged at a height, under which an endless conveyor belt runs, which take up material through an outlet provided below a wall of the hopper and into a weighing hopper at one end of the conveyor belt may require, which hangs on a device weighing the load.
The aim of the invention is to create a weighing device which can accurately weigh a large selection of powdery or granular materials and wherein the feed speed of the material after the weighing hopper increases gradually to a maximum value during a feed process and then before the feed is interrupted slowly decreases again in order to reduce any excessive movement of the linkage 2 of the device weighing the load and to reduce the device. not to reduce impacts given.
The weighing device according to the invention with a feed hopper arranged above it has a feed flap which regulates the outlet opening from the feed hopper and is automatically lifted during each feed process in a predetermined period of time that is independent of the movements of the device weighing the load and is lowered.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
Figure 1 is a front view of the device.
Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale the device for regulating the supply, and
FIG. 3 is a further enlarged view of the end of the conveyor belt through which the material is fed and shows the effect on the material cover when the feed is interrupted.
With reference to FIG. 1, a filling funnel 1Q is provided for supplying the material mass, and a horizontally extending, endless conveyor belt 11 is arranged immediately below this funnel. This conveyor belt can convey the material received from the overlying hopper 10 through an outlet 12 which is provided below the lower edge of one wall of the overhead hopper, and this material from one end of the conveyor belt 11 into a weighing hopper 13 load, which hangs down from the levers 14 and 15 of the device weighing the load. This weighing device has a pointer 16 which shows the zero balance and the exact weight on an overweight and underweight scale 17.
The endless conveyor belt 11 is driven by an electric motor 18 with two speed levels, which is fed together with a solenoid 19, which regulates the opening of the outlet door 20 of the hopper 13 and is controlled by an electrical contact that looks synchronously with the Indicator 16 moves.
This moving contact can work together with other contacts, one of which, referred to below as the zero contact, can be closed when the filling funnel is unloaded, while a second contact, hereinafter referred to as the liontakt for slow running, is closed shortly before the full charge is supplied the weighing hopper can be touched and a third contact, hereinafter referred to as the stop contact, is touched as soon as the full load is in the weighing hopper.
The shut-off contact can be rotated by means of a control button 21 and is connected to an indicator 22, which is assigned to table 17, which makes it possible to set the position so that the supply is shut off according to the weight of a predetermined load.
After weights have been attached to the counterweight carrier 23 hanging down from the lever arm 15, which weights are proportional to the amount by which the desired amount exceeds the full charge value read from table 17, the pointer 22 is moved to the full load position on table 17 and a load is then fed to the weighing hopper. Since material is still floating between the end of the conveyor belt and the weighing hopper when it is switched off, and since the motor driving the conveyor belt continues to run a little after it has been switched off, the weight of the material collected in the hopper may not be correct so that the pointer 16 on the overweight and underweight section of table 17 shows a few units of overweight.
By then adjusting the pointer 22 by a corresponding number of weight units, subsequent weighing processes deliver correct values. Assuming, for example, that the first load would give a reading of three units by the pointer 16, if the pointer 22 is then set to three units hard, then when the next quantum is weighed it will be switched off three units later, so there ¯ the pointer 16 should indicate full charge. In this way, a simple means of adjusting the weighing unit to any desired quantum is achieved by a single weighing attempt.
The contacts assigned to the weighing device can control the movements of the motor 18 which drives the conveyor belt 11. This means that when the zero contact is closed, the conveyor belt 11 runs at full speed, provided that the release 20 of the weighing hopper is latched and it closes a contact 23 'assigned to it.
If the contact for slow running is closed, then reduce the speed of the treadmill 11, while at. Closing the parking contact, the treadmill 11 is stopped and the outlet door 20 of the weighing hopper is automatically disengaged by the solenoid 19.
Adjacent and outside of the outlet opening 12 of the feed funnel 10 arranged above, a circular arc-shaped feed flap 24 is provided which is attached to an arm 25 which extends laterally from a spindle 26 which carries a second arm 27 which extends laterally and which subsequently is referred to as a contact arm and cooperates with a microswitch 28 in the lowermost position of the feed flap 24.
The arm 25 is rotatably connected to a connecting rod 29 according to FIG. 2, which in turn is connected to a crankshaft 30, which at every time the aforementioned zero contact is closed and the weighing hopper door 20 latches, an electric motor 31 can rotate one revolution.
When the feed flap 24 is in its lowest position, the arm 25 rests against a fixed stop 32 and in this position there is a small air gap between the lower edge of the flap 24 and the upper running surface of the conveyor belt 11 to allow a relatively thin layer of material to pass through to allow. In order to ensure that the feed flap 24 is brought back to its lowest position even in the event of an inaccurate stopping of the motor 31, the connecting rod 29 is of a type that can be squeezed together, that is to say, this rod can be designed telescopically,
brought into a lengthened position by spring loading and arranged such that their spring loading is compressed when the arm 25 rests against the stop 32 and the crankshaft 30 is in its lower dead center position.
Assuming the outlet door 20 of the weighing machine is properly latched and the zero contact, which is assigned to the weighing device, remains because there is no. Load is located in the weighing hopper 13, closed, then the conveyor belt 11 is activated at full speed during operation, while the motor 31 drives the crankshaft 30 at the same time. As a result, the feed flap 24 is raised and causes a gradual increase in the die of the material layer, which leaves the feed filler t0 arranged at the top until the feed flap is finally in its completely raised position.
The feed flap gradually lowers again until the arm 25 hits the fixed stop 32, in this position the contact arm 27 touches the microswitch 28 in order to switch off the atotor 31. The treadmill 11, which is still driven at full speed, continues to convey a minimum layer of material beneath the feed flap 24 until a weight is reached in the weighing hopper 18 at which the contact for slow running is closed.
At this point in the weighing process, the speed of the motor 18, which drives the treadmill 11, is reduced so that a slow feed takes place until the shut-off contact is closed and the treadmill stops.
A spur gear 33 is seated on the spindle 26 and engages in a second spur gear 34 which is fastened to a spindle 35 which runs parallel to the spindle 26 on the side of the latter facing away from the feed hopper 10.
The spindle 35 carries a sideways extending arm 36 to which a flap 37 is attached, which is inclined downwardly towards the feed hopper, its lower edge being above the conveyor belt 11 at a distance from the latter which is approximately the air gap corresponds to that which exists between the lower edge of the feed flap 24 and the treadmill when the flap 24 is in its lowermost position.
The anterior edge of the flap 37 lies, when this flap has assumed its lowest position, vertically over the rotating neck of an idle disk or roller 38 around which the conveyor belt 11 runs at the end at which the material is fed by this conveyor belt. The flap 37 is adjustable relative to the arm 36 to which it is attached in order to allow the gap between its lowermost edge and the treadmill 11 to be varied.
It must be observed that the flap 37, since it is gear-connected to the feed flap 24, is driven through exactly the same circuit and, when it is in its lowest position, only slides over the top of a material from a normal die, which is passes under the feed flap 24. However, should the material cover become uneven during the slow feed, the flap 37 removes any excess material from this cover and holds the excess between the two flaps on the conveyor belt 11.
This excess material, which is held between the two flaps, is then fed to the weighing funnel 13 at the beginning of the next weighing cycle, if. the two flaps are lifted up.
At the delivery end of the treadmill 11 there is a metal strip 39 (FIG. 3) which is located somewhat below the upper running surface of the same, but in the immediate vicinity of this treadmill, where the latter wraps around the idle disk or roller 38 It extends over the entire width of the belt so that it forms a bar or a bench on which and over which the material supplied by the conveyor belt is fed to the weighing machine. The material fed in by the conveyor belt is removed from the conveyor belt in this way and pushed over the surface of this bar or bench 39, at the opposite edge of which the material then drops evenly.
By this precaution, a clean break in the flow of material is achieved when the endless conveyor belt is stopped.
A vertically adjustable slide 40, which is a part. which forms one wall of the filling funnel 10 arranged above, creates a means whereby the size of the outlet 12 on the feed funnel can be adjusted according to the different materials, although it must be noted that the size of this outlet opening is only the speed of the feed The feed rate is determined as long as the feed flap 24 is raised, while the feed speed is held at all other times. the lower edge of the feed flap 24 and the upper running surface of the conveyor belt existing gap and is determined by the speed of the conveyor belt.
The arc of curvature of the feed flap 24 is struck by the axis of the spindle 26 a, us, so that the boundary surface of this flap borders on a wall of the overhead hopper 10 regardless of the setting of the same.
It is to be ensured that the raising and lowering of the feed flap 24, as soon as the associated motor 31 is started, is effected in a predetermined time and that this feed flap is in no way influenced by the movements of the weighing device. However, it is desirable that sufficient time be allowed to raise and lower flap 24 to ensure that this flap is returned to its lowermost position before slow running contact is closed and the speed of the treadmill is closed 11 is reduced.
