Lock The present invention relates to a lock of the type in which a handle operates a latch by means which can be brought into a position by means of a key in which they lock the latch in the advanced position and break the connection between the handle and the latch .
Such locks have the advantage that they only need one latch as a locking means, which, however, performs the function that previously required both a latch operated by means of a handle and a latch operated by means of a key, whereby the entire lock parts one Door, which can be opened both by means of a handle and locked by means of a key, is much simpler and its procurement and assembly are therefore cheaper.
The known locks of this type, however, have the disadvantage that the door cannot be unlocked by means of the key when the handle is depressed, in that the connection between the handle and the latch can only be reached after the unlocking movement of the key has been carried out is when the handle. is released and thereby goes up to its upper position.
People who want to leave the locked door quickly in the event of a catastrophe, for example in the event of a fire, and who are not entirely familiar with the mode of action of this relatively new lock, often panic and depress the handle at the same time as turning the key to unlock the door and are therefore not due to the above-described mode of action of the lock. able to open the door. As a result of the excitement in which people find themselves under such circumstances, valuable time is therefore often lost before they can find out what the lock is doing and can open the door.
This disadvantage in locks of the type mentioned above is avoided according to the invention by such a device of the lock that the means mentioned, when they are brought into the unlocking position by means of the key, in which they the connection between the latch and the handle produce, regardless of whether the latter is completely or partially depressed, bring the trap into the position corresponding to the current position of the handle.
It thus becomes clear that the latch can be pulled back completely by opening the key when the handle is completely depressed, so that even people who are not familiar with the mode of action of this particular lock construction can use a lock according to the invention Unlock and open the door immediately, even if the handle is pressed down.
The above-mentioned function of the lock can be achieved, for example, in that the organs acting between the handle and the latch have a pivot rod which has an inclined surface which, when the handle is pressed down, points to a notch, which is carried by the handle cover can interact in such a way that the exchange rod, when it is brought into the unlocked position by means of the key, brings the trap directly or indirectly into the position corresponding to the current position of the handle.
At its end facing away from the inclined surface, the changing rod can be rotatably connected to an arm pivotable by the key, or the lock can have a stationary pin which is arranged in the vicinity of the key engagement point of the rod and which rotates into the one or the other of two mutually attached recesses of the rod can engage, a spring pressing the exchange rod against the pin.
In the latter case, by influencing the key, the weehsel rod can be pushed up and down between two positions in such a way that the recesses alternately engage with the stationary pin, with the latch being released in one position of the rod and alone can be moved by means of the handle while it is locked in the other position of the rod in such a way that it is not returned when the handle is turned, but remains locked, for example by arranging a locking cam on the exchange rod,
which Noeken engages in this position of the change rod with a recess arranged on the case.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is. on the drawing illustrates in which FIG. 1 shows the lock in the closed, but not locked position, and FIG. 2 shows the same in the locked position. showing the handle pressed down. In the drawing, 1 denotes the lock case with a faceplate 1, in which case a nut 9 with a square hole 3 for the axis of the handle, not shown in the drawing, is rotatably net angeord.
A latch 5 is displaceably arranged in the lock case by being fixed partly in a recess of the faceplate 4 and partly by one in the lock case. attached pin 6 leads ge, which extends through a slot 7 of the trap tail.
The trap is pressed outward by means of one of the legs of a latch spring 8 and returned by influencing a two-armed lever 9 in the manner described in more detail below.
A counter spring 10 influencing the socket 2 will normally hold the handle in the horizontal position corresponding to the position of the nut shown in FIG.
The Nut ? is provided with a nod 11. As can be seen from Fig.1, which shows the lock in the unlocked position, this Noeken 11 will affect the upper part of a change rod 12 by pressing the handle and the upper end of the same to the right in the figure ren.
As a result, the upper end of the weehsel rod 12 is pressed against the upper arm of the two-armed lever b, the lower arm of which is thereby moved in the opposite direction, that is to say. to the left in the figure, sliding trap 5 back. ; During this movement, the change rod 12 will rotate around its lower end, with which it is rotatably mounted on an arm 14 on an arranged pin 13, which arm in turn is on a permanently attached pin 1 leased in the lock. B> freely rotatable attached. is.
The arm 14 is held in its position by the fact that the Zap fen 13 enters into a recess 17 of a rotatably mounted on the pin 6 arm 1,6, which is pressed against the pin 13 by means of the other leg of the trap spring 8, whose first leg, as mentioned earlier, presses the latch outwards.
On arm 16 is. In addition to the recess 17, a recess 18 is arranged, into which the pin 13 can be rotatably inserted, in order to hold the arm 1.1 and thus the changeable rod 1.2 in the position shown in FIG. The arm 14 is provided at its free end with a key engagement 19, whereby it can be guided back and forth between the two stel lungs shown in Fig.l and Fig.2 by means of a key inserted through the key hole 20.
If see the change rod 12 is in the position shown in Fig. 2, the lock is locked by a locking cam 21 (Fig. 1) arranged on the change rod with a recess 22 arranged on the tail of the trap (Fig. 1) is in a grip and thus prevents the trap from going back, as can be seen from Fig.2.
This figure also shows that the connection between the handle and the latch is interrupted, the handle, as shown, can be depressed without the cam 11 of the nut 2 coming into contact with the exchange rod 12, which in the unlocked position of the lock, the movement of the cam 11 on the two armi gene lever 9 on the case 5 transfers.
The change rod 12 is at its upper end with. an inclined surface 23, which is shaped in such a way that, as can be seen from FIG. 2, when the change rod is brought up into the unlocked position by means of the key and the handle is completely pressed down and the cam 11 is in the position shown in Figure 2, comes to the cam 11 to rest. and this will slide along so that the upper end of the change rod 12 is moved to the left in the figure at the same time as it is guided upwards.
As a result, the upper end of the exchange rod will influence the two-armed lever 9, so that it guides the latch 5 back completely. If the handgrip is not depressed, the. Wech sel rod 12 are straight up into the position shown in Fig. 1, and if the handle is only partially pushed down, the trap is brought into a partially retracted position by means of the rod, which corresponds to the relevant position of the handle, so that then when the latter is fully depressed, the trap is pulled all the way back.
Above, only one exemplary embodiment of the lock according to the invention is described, and the structural details of the same can be varied in various ways within the scope of the invention. For example, the arms 12 and 16 can be omitted by the pin 13 is fixedly attached in the lock case and the lower end of the change rod 12 is provided with two recesses in the same way as the recesses 17 and 18 of the arm 16, in which recesses the change rod against the pin fixedly attached in the lock case, the pin 13 accordingly, can be rotatably applied by the change rod is pressed by means of the spring 8 to the left.
The change rod is also provided at the lower end with a practical key engagement so that you can use the key between the two positions up and down in which the pin is in one or the other recess and rests against the rod .
